😐 Decent airport and very close to town just off Langata road. The customs guys are a bit rough. I didn't get the feeling that's it's the most friendly airport but it has a very intimate feel to it. I used in on an in-bound flight. The walk from the plane to the parking lot is just a few minutes. Once... People often mention airport, flights, Airport, Wilson, parking, small, Nairobi,

Decent airport and very close to town just off Langata road. The customs guys are a bit rough. I didn't get the feeling that's it's the most friendly airport but it has a very intimate feel to it. I used in on an in-bound flight. The walk from the plane to the parking lot is just a few minutes. Once you are through customs it's a couple of steps out into the parking lot. Infact the checked-in luggage guys will meet you out there. There are restaurant kiosks(shops) at parking lot where you can have some tea or read a paper while you gather yourself. It's amazingly quiet and relaxed actually. I had some very good tea at one of the small restaurants. There are plenty of taxis at the parking lot too if you need one or you can get one from a hailing app. I walked to Langata road which is a few hundred meters away and took a taxi via an app to the town center. You could also take the plentiful matatus (bus taxis) headed in whichever direction.

Lovely, lovely airport. I like the proximity from my home it’s just quite near. Enough daily flights makes it easy to attend business to would rather be impossible places and back in the evenings, absolute convenience. The Airport staff and attendants are very kind and honest. My kids keeps forgetting either one or the other thing (especially phones) and they always makes way to us! Asante Sana!

Easy and convenient airport for internal / domestic flights to various locations across Kenya. Much quicker and easier than JKIA, with a more relaxed feel. ~ Ayaan @traveltribeafrica.com

Nestled just a few kilometres from Nairobi's city centre, Wilson Airport stands as a vital hub for domestic and regional air travel. While smaller in scale compared to the neighbouring Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Wilson Airport offers a convenient and efficient alternative for short-haul flights. Upon arrival, passengers are greeted by a relatively uncrowded terminal, making check-in and security procedures a breeze. The airport's layout is straightforward, allowing for easy navigation and access to departure gates and amenities. Wilson Airport's primary strength lies in its proximity to Nairobi, offering a significant advantage for travellers seeking to avoid the hustle and bustle of JKIA. The airport is well-connected to the city centre via a network of taxis, buses, and matatus (shared taxis), making it easy for passengers to reach their destinations. For those seeking refreshments or last-minute necessities, the airport offers a modest selection of shops and cafes. While the options may be limited compared to larger airports, the available amenities cater to the essential needs of travellers. In terms of flight operations, Wilson Airport serves as a home base for several domestic airlines, including Fly540, Safarilink, and Jambojet. These airlines offer regular flights to major Kenyan cities, such as Mombasa, Kisumu, and Eldoret, as well as regional destinations within East Africa. The airport's runway is well-maintained and adequately equipped to handle the traffic of various aircraft types, including turboprops and smaller jetliners. The air traffic control systems are efficient and ensure the smooth flow of incoming and departing flights. Overall, Wilson Airport proves to be a convenient and efficient option for domestic and regional travel. Its proximity to Nairobi, easy navigation, and well-maintained facilities make it a viable alternative to JKIA, particularly for short-haul flights.

Very bad treatment in the airport. Slot of discrimination because I don't belong to a certain race /tribe to an extent of being removed from the plane boarded to Mandela. I have never thought such things happen in kenya and especially the Wilson Airport

The place is big enough to accommodate many planes, and enough airhostess. Located at highway langata , easily accessible,, it serves internal customers.. all over the country.

A beautiful well organized place with a bird zooming in or taking off after every few minutes. Located off the very busy Langata road, you can see the plains on the ground or those coming in as you pass by.

The Safarilink waiting bay is nicely classy and modern πŸ™‚ with social distancing protocols being observed which gives one comfort in this times we're living in. They have a nice building which is conveniently close to the runway

For Taxi Drivers. you given limited time to exit the drop of point, especially if you have a client with alot of buggage. The parking fee system is outdated. They should introduce parking machines instead of human cashiers.

Well run government facility. Secure but overcrowded at the departure lounge. Lack of a designated public car park. The South C gate is locked till 6pm is an inconvinience. This airport should open till late at night and earlier in the morning like 4am.

There needs to be an improvement on the location of the different airlines at the entrance to aid in movement and save on time. A map would be great. πŸ™πŸΏ

Great airport. The size of airport is small but basic facilities are all located inside. There is a small lounge in second floor. The food was normal. The airport is generally clean and there wasn’t any inconvenience while using the airport.

Wilson Airport is located South of Nairobi along Langata Road approximately 5km from the city centre. It is immediately South of Langata Road, 2km southwest of the intersection with Mombasa Road.

Wilson Airport is one of the busiest airports in terms of aircraft movement in East and Central Africa. Domestic flights constitute 90% of the total flights from the Airport with international flights accounting for 10%. The Airport is a fast and convenient gateway from Nairobi into Kenya’s magical interior lands. Destinations served from the Airport include Maasai Mara, Mombasa, Amboseli, Lamu, Kilimanjaro Diani, Lokichogio and Nanyuki. It is also a modern hub of General Aviation in East and Central Africa

The distance between the main entrance to the airport and the respective offices of Sax (East African Air) and Skyward Express is quite lengthy (20-30 mins walk). It is advisable to use a taxi unless you don't mind the walking.

A busy airport in the South of Nairobi that caters for small aircraft mostly for domestic travel. It also has flights for neighbouring countries. The infrastructure is fair with little parking space. Security is good.
