Amazing experience! Very knowledgeable and kind ranger Julias who took us around the sanctuary on foot. We saw 9 rhinos and he explained all about them and was able to name them all. Very impressive work being done here and well worth a visit.

Amazing place, real nature! Every rhino has 2 personal rangers for quart and safe for 24/7! Like president! We saw impalas, bush-pigs, Ugandan cranes too.

Fantastic conservation project that enables walking tours to see rhino. Knowledgeable guide who manges the tour and amazing experience. Was very hot in the middle of the day - would suggest morning tour if you can.

Best Place for a walking trek to see the rhinos. Zika rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos on foot. It's home to southern white rhinos.

You can see this amazing animals live! Nature is amazing as well. Ziwa Rhino tell you everything (not only) about rhinos, show you how it works on this world with bad bussines and get you some knowledge about it. You can help them/support as volunteer or buy a souvenir. Incredible place with nice people 🧡.

Great place doing extremely, noble work to not only breed rhinoceros for reintroduction, but engaging the community in environment conservation.

Decent accommodation, but a bit expensive for what it is ($80 per night). Activities on offer are also very expensive for what they are. Advantages: - Our room and bathroom were very clean. - The staff from the lodge's restaurant were kind and helpful. Disadvantages: - Contrary to what the website of the lodge says, there was no WiFi or hot water when we stayed there. The lady at the front desk apologized for this but didn't make any commercial gesture to make it up for it. - We signed up for two treks (one to see the rhinos, one to see the shoebills) and yet, we ended up driving - with our own car and fuel - more than walking (more than 30 km of driving in the case of the shoebill trek), under the guidance of a ranger who was very patronizing (was it because my friend and I are two young women?), who wanted to keep the animal-seeing as short as possible, and who explicitly and awkwardly asked us to tip the trackers he works with, in addition to what we had already paid at the lodge for the treks. This was the most disappointing part...

We had a wonderful trip here organised by Buutu Safaris in Jinja. Our ranger (Simon Peter) was very knowledgeable and entertaining and we had a superb experience seeing the rhinos (including a baby!) in the wild. Highly recommended!

With all the great national parks in the country, you should not forget this great rhino sanctuary, which has set itself the goal of bringing rhinos back into the parks. I loved this place!

Very nice, good and important project. Rangers take good care of the animals while teaching about the rhinos. If you are lucky you see the rhinos already on your way in as well as during the meals.

We came here on the way back from Murchison Falls as a quick stop to see rhinos. We enjoyed our brief but amazing visit and would definitely recommend for a small group. Staff was friendly.

Doing a fantastic job, it also has lovely, cheap accommodations and a good restaurant. The staff are also really helpful too.

I first was sceptical if the price would be worth it but let me assure you when I left I felt like my money was we’ll spend. I arrived at the sanctuary and was welcomed with a fresh fruit juice. The security people where respectful and nice. The roads to the sanctuary and in it are very well maintained. The rangers know their facts well and I felt safe at all times.

Really loved the experience of actually tracking the rhinos on foot. Learned a lot from the tour guide who took us through the rhino territory. Very lucky to have tracked down 11 rhinos given the time we decided to do it. Recommended time is between 8am to 10am when the sun hasn't become any hotter. Overall, it was a great experience, awesome guides and great to see that these creatures are well protected from poachers.

The place is cool! You can go on a walking safari and get very close to the white rhinos, AMAZING!! However, the mindset of staff that any Ugandan person who is with a non-Ugandan person works for a particular company is not good, however have also found this at other parks as well. Overall amazing experience would recommend!

Simon Peter our guide was excellent. The supermarket description of the 🦏 spa time was lovely. The food at the ziwa restaurant was very bad. Don't dine there.
