Great place for picnic. Fort is very well maintained. Lots of fascinating things to see which amazes you. Great views. Great location to click pics for you gram. Boating here just completes the trip to here. There are 2 waterfalls. These are not natural waterfalls but created by the king who made it, which will make you feel what really royal is! Snacks and water is available inside the fort. To summarize, Naldurg fort is a great place for weekend.

Beautiful place. But not properly managed. Major attraction is boating. Jet ski ride also available. If managed properly this could have been on world heritage tour list. A good example of the fact that we don't know how to preserve our heritage.

This is an amazing place to visit if you would like to visit forts in Maharashtra. This fort does not come in popular forts, but this is engineering marvel.. This fort was built around 700-800 years ago. However, built quality is amazing, and it's really well maintained. Road towards Fort from main road (approx 400mts) is not good, but don't take U turn go for it. Ample amount of parking available outside at 40rs only. You need at least 4-5 hrs to see the entire fort. If you want to explore, then 1 day is not enough. It's on Solapur Hyderabad highway, so it's a convenient place to visit. It's worth visiting this place along with family or friends. Take your food along with you if you want to spend a day there. As there are no restaurants inside. Also take good amounts of water with you. Staff is friendly.. Fees Parking 40rs Adults 20rs Kids 10 Rs

Naldurg Fort in Osmanabad district of Marathwada region of Maharashtra is considered to be one of the best forts in the country going by sheer military and engineering standards. The fort is said to have been originally built by a Hindu Raja who was a vassal of the Chalukya kings of kalyani. It was latter included in the dominions of the Bahamanis and was subsequently taken over by the Adil shahi kings of bijapur, from whom it passed in the hands of mughalain the year 1686.Naldurg Fort is named after Nalraja who built the fort in medieval architectural style. The unique feature of the fort is that it encloses a knoll of basalt rock which juts out into the valley of the small Bori River and a long fortification wall with many bastions.

It's a very well maintained fort by some private company. The entry fee is Rs. 20 per person for adults and free for kids below 5. The location of is not far away from the highway. The whole area is quite huge with various places of interests around and it's actually built on the banks of Bori river which is now converted into a dam. One can do boating too in the water. however, the best point to visit is the top of the fort from where you can have 360 degree view of the whole premise and the Pani Mahal, which is very close to the water body. However, as usual the beauty of the Paani Mahal is ruined by useless graffitis of so called love birds.

Good Fort. Guide is not available. So information should be available at places.. The fort exploration require 2 to 3 hours. Battery vehicle is available with 50 rs per head.. Ask for drivers phone numbers as he go for another passenger drop. This fort should be seen in monsoon as waterfall flows.

A massive 126 acres though maintained pretty well but seems like a chowpatty beach inside with panipuri to gola. Boating inside available as well. History is not important to couple who frequent to this place for privacy and was a disgust to see such activities. No guards and over here as well no historians to explain the fort history. People sitting on cannons to click pictures did not find it amusing either where they gave in zero respect to the awesome fort.

Discovered this beautiful fort on our way to hyderabad. Not a historian, but seemingly this fort is strategically poised, with a clear line of sight in all directions for miles. A must stop if you happen to pass through the area.

The fort is maintained well by the Management. There are a couple of waterfalls named Nar and Madi. Bori river runs from inside the fort giving the area a unique view. The boating service has also been started by the management at minimum rates. The scenery is very nice and eye catching. The best time to visit is from August to January when there is no much heat.
