It's not a temple anymore.. it's a place for business purposes only...the pandas are only there for money, if you want to worship in general way, you're going to be broken.. because i waited there from 4am to 3pm...even after that long waiting, when we entered the temple, inside there were some pandas waiting for their customers and was stopping us to move..we had a fight with him...and after that we we're able to worship the god...the main problem is the management...it only needs money...they don't even care about people, god, temple...in our time there was a single mother carrying 2 little children, we gave passage to her..but the pandas stopped her and asked for money...that was horrified to watch.. it's not a temple for worship, it's only for business... humanity is a muth in this place...

Tarapith is a 13-century Hindu temple in Chandipur village Rampurhat II CD block in Rampurhat subdivision of Birbhum district of the Indian state of West Bengal, known for its Tantric temple and its adjoining cremation (Maha Shmashan) grounds where sādhanā (tantric rituals) are performed. The Tantric Hindu temple is dedicated to the goddess Tara, a fearsome Tantric aspect of the Devi, the chief temples of Shaktism. Tarapith derives its name from its association as the most important centre of Tara worship. Tarapith is also famous for Sadhak Bamakhepa, known as the avadhuta or "mad saint", who worshipped in the temple and resided in the cremation grounds as a mendicant and practised and perfected yoga and the tantric arts under the tutelage of another famous saint, Kailashpathi Baba. Bamakhepa dedicated his entire life to the worship of Tara Maa. His ashram is also located in bank of Dwaraka river and close to the Tara temple.

Wonderful place it is. There you will found lots of shop so you don't have to carry sweets and flowers from outside. There was four lines to visit Ma Tara. One line is free for everyone, 2nd one is ₹300, 3rd one is ₹500, and 4th one is ₹1000. There team management is very worst. Need a great management team.

Good experience and majestic feel inside the temple. Would highly suggest to have connect with someone who knows the place, so that it will be a bit easier to enter. Saturdays are way too much crowded. Surrounding area have lots of hotels and restaurants to stay and have food.

A must visit place for worship of Tara Ma. The place is crowded all the time. There are several pandas nearby the temple who are happy to help for the visitors. It is one of the sacred piths out of the 51 piths. There are other temples also nearby.A holy pond is in between the temple.

If you are a devotee of Maa Tara, then there is nothing to complain about Tara Maa Temple Tarapith. There is lot of crowd and rush throughout the year. Temple area is not much clean, but this thing does not matter at all. Once you visit, you will feel like to visit repeatedly.

Maa Tara is one of the 51 shaktipith of maa shati/parvati/durga and 2nd of das(10) mahavidyas and is great pilgrimage site for Hindu devote. Here we worship mata durga as Maa Tara which is tantric manifestation of maa parvati. This place is also known for different tantric puja and practice. You will find many tantric here doing rituals and all. This place has different vibe around. This place is located in birbhum district of west Bengal state and nearest station is ramputhat jn., This temple is very crowded. One must visit this temple atleast once.

The worst thing about this temple is that they will ask you to stand in a separate vip line to reduce money and your standing in that vip line will cost 500 rupees per head, one request please let everyone have equal darshan, in the name of God don't do business like this. Yes, God is everywhere.

Beautiful atchala temple. Maa Tara in this temple was once worshipped by the famous saint Bamakhepa ji. It was once famous for Tantrik activities. Still now, the environment inside the temple premises is electric. Lakhs of devotees come to temple, more so in festive seasons. All systems are well maintained. But, as in the most Hindu Temples, management of dirtyness may be improved. Also, divotee shoe management may be done in a better way. And, it is becoming too commercial nowadays. The same should be managed properly for future envorinment of the temple.

Jai mata di, we visited this temple last week, from Rampur hat to devi temple its just 9 km away, sharing auto charging 40-50 pr head, that is shameful, there are no cabs n ola, pandit of temple also greedy, they forcefully asked for dakshina at four points while entry. Shopkeeper put his card in puja thalli, so when we entered the temple panda come n forcefully pulling our puja thali.. We denied him stil he pulled the thali,,, management of temple should look into it.

This is a Maa Tara temple. Very nice temple. I have visited 3/4 times. And the bad thing is that every pujari and panda charges extra money to see or worship Maa Tara, if you pay more money you will get the chance to enter the temple first. It is a very very bad thing.

জয় মা তারা ❤️ Tarapith where you can actually find peace. Good experience and majestic feel inside the temple. Would highly suggest to have to connect with someone who knows the place, so that it will be a bit easier to enter. All systems are well maintained. But, as in most Hindu Temples, management of darkness may be improved.Saturdays are way too crowded. The surrounding area has lots of hotels and restaurants to stay and have food. জয় মা তারা ❤️

I have been to this temple recently. A lot of sweets shops, flower shops, and coconut shops around. Hotels are cheap and friendly. Things are easy to be done. Many people ask you to help. Communication is very good. People are very eager to be there.

One of the most revered Kali temples of Hindus. The process of offering prayer is quite time consuming and tiring - may take hours. However on Mondays and Wednesdays the temple remains much less crowded at around 2pm to 3pm, from my personal experience. Senior citizens, like me, should visit only if they are stout enough. Be careful, the marble floors of the temple complex get cleaned with water from time to time and it becomes extremely slippery. One can catch 6:05 express train from Howrah station and comfortably return by the 4:40pm train from Rampurhat. Visit to extremely vigilant deity of Nalhateswari (Lalateswari) can also be clubbed with Tarapith for a day journey.
