Awesome, awesome! I visited the camp for two days and my stay was very pleasant. Food was delicious and the staff were very professional and friendly. The tents were clean and well spaced to offer full privacy. The pool is clean and large enough. Be sure to sight some ostrich, giraffe among other animals at close range. The camp is located about 23km from the Namanga border and about 120km from Nairobi. The camp blends well with the surrounding environment. Highly recommended.

Wow. What a hidden gem. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Owner is very helpful and booking direct was a simple process. Excellent value for money. The chef, David, was making a very wide choice of food to suit almost every palette.

Magical and serene hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Service is 5 star: prompt and personalized. Food is amazing so is the accomodation. The place is littered with antelopes, giraffes and impala and most amazingly, awesome views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a silhoutte of Mt. Meru. I'd visit 10x over and not get bored. It is truly worth the long trip. On the flip side, however, their communication response time is wanting but this I am assured is being worked on.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olodonyo Orak Camp, and I must say it was a truly unique and amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was transported back in time to a bygone era of colonial Africa, with luxury tents that reminded me of the iconic movie Out of Africa. The camp's location is perfect for those who desire a taste of Africa over 100 years ago, surrounded by a private wildlife park teeming with exotic wildlife. The camp is owned by a third-generation Kenyan, Nasir Ahga, and his wife Lucy, a beautiful Maasai lady, who were amazing hosts throughout my stay. The camp manager, Patrick, was also fantastic and went out of his way to ensure my visit was enjoyable. The tents were equipped with modern bathrooms and showers, and the food was delicious, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes. One of the highlights of my stay was waking up to the sound of starlings and the grunting sounds of the wildebeest. I was lucky enough to see giraffes, ostriches, dik dik, and Thomson's gazelles as I strolled to breakfast at the main house. The peace and tranquillity of the surroundings were truly mesmerizing, and I felt completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle of Narobi. The camp has a beautiful pool, which provided the perfect spot to unwind and read a good book while overlooking the breathtaking views, surrounded by nature. The camp's location was also great, only 25 kilometers from Namanga Town and the border of Tanzania, and only 50 kilometers drive through a game park to Mount Kilamanjaro. Overall, my experience at the Olodonyo Orak Camp was unique, luxurious, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape the city and experience the beauty of Africa in its natural state.

The camp is a hidden gem. Has friendly staff and sumptuous meals. The chef is on point. Can serve as an excellent retreat for the tired soul. There is an ostrich that is friends with an eland at the camp, and they both detest the giraffe. Was fun seeing that.

The best choice for visiting Amoseli NP or just fur relaxing after a few days iof Safari in a wonderful setting. Lovely people who are caring and extremely helpful, wonderful grounds (with a baby giraffe they adopted from the park 😍) and spacious and comfortable tent structures (with full bathroom and hot showers all day. Fully eco and autonomous (solar energy!) fur the best price value we have seen in all the lodges around Kenya. We definitely will come back 🤩

Our stay at Oldonyo Orok was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by Patrick at the entrance. We had such an incredible time that we truly wished we could have extended our stay. The food was delightful. Our room exceeded our expectations in terms of size and spaciousness. Navigating the property with our small car was effortless, thanks to the relatively easy access from the tarmac. I would like to note that the sign indicating the entrance from the main road is relatively small and subtle, making it easy to miss. However, once you find your way, you will discover a hidden gem. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to be in close proximity to a diverse array of animals. The tranquil sounds of birdsong in the bush created a sense of pure bliss, allowing us to unwind and connect with nature. One of the highlights of our stay was the bonfire gatherings with other guests. We had a fantastic time bonding with others and sharing stories around the cozy fire. While the phone network in the rooms was a bit spotty, it worked flawlessly in the pool and restaurant area. Patrick, the host at Oldonyo Orok, deserves special praise for his exceptional service and attention to detail. He ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout our stay, and his genuine warmth and hospitality made us feel truly valued as guests. He is undeniably one of the main reasons why we will eagerly return to Oldonyo Orok in the future. We highly recommend Oldonyo Orok to anyone seeking a remarkable getaway just 2 hours from the city.

Oldonyo Orok is beautiful. I am glad I found this gem online. Patrick and Musau made my stay worth every dime. It's the quiet that you seek outside the city chaos. I'm coming back soon. Must visit.

Really loved Oldonyo; the staff was warm and quite helpful, location is near the road but also far enough to feel like you're in the middle of the bush (approx. 600 metres from the tarmac), 23kms to Namanga. There's only WiFi and phone network at the reception and restaurant area - the rooms have no signal, which is really great for disconnecting and bonding with nature and your company, if at all. There's lots of birds on premise, fresh air, it's an animal sanctuary. Food is decent, very cost friendly and the camp runs on solar energy! It's pretty cool. Would recommend

Great and very professional hospitality. We had planned a short stop over and ended up staying two days. It was our base before and after exploring Amboseli. Great place, great food, very friendly and competent team. There is lots of love on the management of this place. The result is great. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you.

I stayed in the camp for a few nights with my dad and we loved it. Such a nice place, quiet and peaceful. Total detox from the big city's lights and noises. Initially we thought that lack of AC, internet and TV will be difficult but we adjusted very quickly. Patrick and his team were extremely friendly and professional. Homemade food was delicious. Antilopes, ostriches and other birds were just walking/flying around. My personal favourite: Twiggy the giraffe. What a cutie 🥰

Cozy little place. They have a giraffe, ostriches and various kinds of deer that you would see around the camp. It's a bird watchers paradise. There are many "hills" that are home to squirrels. You will see them too. They were very accommodative on vegetarian and vegan meals. They had buffets. They went out of their way to make us extra dishes that were served on the table.

I stayed there several times for one or two nights and was satisfied each time. The whole team is very welcoming, the tents are very qualitative. The location of the camp is also very special as you can have a view on the mountains, and on clear days, you can even see Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru, plus you will see antilopes, ostriches and even a giraffe roaming around! As you must have had understood by now, I strongly recommand this place!
