Ol Doinyo Orok. Also known as Namanga hills, close to Kenya-Tanzania border with the highest peak, Ol Doinyo Orok at 2548 mt above sea level. 2nd highest (with cave, water fall & camp site) is the Enkamuka peak at 2308 mt. We have treaked till the 3rd highest peak of 1850 Mt. (from ~1300 mt base camp) From 7 yr kid to senior citizens, 23 people took the journey of 8.5 km, 3 hrs climb & 2 hrs descend. Mt Kilimanjaro, across Tanzania is visible, but was covered by clouds. From Nairobi one can go to Maili Tisa town (155 km) through machakos, kitengela, Isinya & kajiado. At Maili Tisa guide can be booked from the base camp. Guide is a must, we have Guardian, the English speaking Masai man expert in climbing without shoes & showing us various trees & their benefits (miswalk, ginger & chewing gum tree); two bird experts & one team leader. Tropical forest, bush & varieties of birds (superb starling, great hornbill) can be seen enroute. We all had a nice experience from the trip.

Beautiful Place. Quiet and peaceful. Ideal for those looking for a quiet and intimate place. Food is delicious and Chef is Flexible to your dietary requirements. Rooms are simple and comfortable. The Swimming pool is beautiful overlooking the hills. The Giraffes, Ostrich, antelopes among others keep you company.

Ol Doinyo Orok also called Namanga Hills, Very cool place, and beautiful. You will need a guide for you to navigate in the forest, also a good hiking boots coz of the slippery stones and also steep terrain. Accompany yourself with water but also you can take the fresh water from the Ol Odoinyo Orok river. You will enjoy the beautiful nature, caves, waterfalls, swimming.

The Ol Donyo Orok Mountain, also called Namanga Hills is situated in southern Kenya next to the Tanzanian border. It has a stretched triangular shape and it's almost like an arrow pointing north with its short side facing towards Tanzania from where you can see Mt Kilimanjaro on clear days! The highest peak reaches 2 548 m accessible through mombasa road so make sure not only do your hiking boots feel comfortable but that they fit well too because this will help reduce slipping while walking over jagged rocks at high altitudes.
