We stayed in a luxury tent on the river during a long trip to Namibia and were wowed by this delightful accommodation. The stunning rooms were sorrounded by well-tended, lush gardens. The gardening team are amazing! The owners of this establishment were always available when needed, were really accommodating and wonderful hosts. The staff were just fantastic! The food was amazing and all services offered were great! If, like me, you need your hair tended to, there is an on site hair salon to get you back to feeling normal again... I highly recommend :)! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience! P. S. If you are camping, the camp site is excellent too!

What a joy to camp at Shametu. Feels like home. Camping sites on lawns, beautiful trees and gardens, very comfortable ablution facilities at each campsite. Coffee shop with comfortable seating, freshly baked cake daily. Excellent meals at the restaurant, bar area with TV, pool area and SPA, deck with a view on the river. Pure bliss.

What a wonderful lodge - beautiful property right on the river with a view of Popa Falls. We stayed one night in the tents and two nights in the chalets - both were great, with the chalets being slightly more elevated. What really made this stay special was the staff, everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. We particularly were impressed with Matthew who gave us great recommendations about driving Bwabwata and other facts about the lodge, the area and the animals. Frank our sunset boat driver was also great. Highly recommend the sunset boat cruise - great relaxing way to end a long day. We hope to be back soon!

Absolutely fantastic. The service is amazing. We spent 4 nights here with friends. The tents could use a bit of upgrading i.e. the closet space is inadequate and the hangers are too big for the closet. I forgot to let them know beforehand that I was lactose intolerant but they catered for me with every meal after I told them once. My friend uses a rollater and they were quick to accommodate her during our stay, setting up dinner at a lower level so she doesn't have to walk so far. The river cruise was amazing and Frankie the guy who took my husband and his friend out fishing, deserves a special mention. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back.

The best campsite so far in our trip. Really private, everything super clean, you get your own big kitchen and own bathroom house. The pool area is wonderful for sunset and the spa area also has great offers.

Great service, excellent value for money. We loved our time at Shametu, great location, river and sunset cruise, near Popa falls, campsites are first class. Felt so welcome here, we will definitely visit again!

There is no second chance to get a first impression Dominating signs at the entrance that you can not bring your own food, receptionist was unfriendly and inflexible with service offerings outside the standard menu. The rooms require urgently a renovation. Bush view rooms was disgusting, river view also well below average.

The campsite is very quiet and pretty. The ablution facilities were cleaned every day and the staff was super friendly. We did two tours that both were great. There is wifi if somewhat unstable (unless you use it in the middle of the night). Food is okay. The view from the pool was absolutely stunning!
