On the 4h of June 2023, somebody broke into our bakkie at Nkasa Rapara in the community camp site at 1:15 in the morning and stole my 2 cameras and my handbag out of the bakkie. We drove through to Katima Malilo to report the accident and the next night we slept at Zambezi Mubala Lodge. We were traumatize but the assistant manager, Mr Henk Mulder, and this staff was so good to us and even gave us a free boat trip so that our stay with them could be memorable experience after what happened. He really went out of his way to help us to cover up our window until we could fix it in Botswana. Zambezi Mubala is a must seen. We did a sunset cruise which was spectacular and the morning cruise. We saw so much birds and the river and surroundings is something you must experience for yourself. Thank you Henk, we will be back. This time with new cameras.\ Dawie and Maronel Steyn

Thank you for placing a cot in the room, a family room however was not needed. If more pictures were available I would have know this. The beds was excellent. The lodge however did not have a baby chair, which was quite the inconvenience. The food choice was limited and the fish dish was not delicious, also children like potatoes so some dishes should include this. Friday night the desert took long and we canceled it. The waiter at the bar did not know the cocktail menu or how to make it on Friday. The fishing trip, we did not catch any fish, more expert advise required. Limited activities to do, a game drive or play area for the children would be advisable. The room had lots of ant in and a lot of spider webs in die roof and lamps as well. A hair dryer would be nice in the room. Further I'd prefer bottle water in the room's fridge, the local water seems brown. Overall not a bad experience and the staff are very friendly. The swimming pool area was not cleaned after the guests left regularly. Lastly I was not given the food account to see what was charged per dinner. Breakfast was great and the trip and transfer to the lodge was really revitalizing and interesting due to the driver giving information, the bus was also clean and nice cold water was provided. The shop was interesting, lux and real effort was put into selection, I'm impressed.

This is such a relaxing place! The rooms are beautiful and shower has a view on the Zambezi. Every morning we were greeted by a bee eater in the bush just before our bedroom! If you like fishing, you can catch some good size tiger fish and barbel fish there. The guides taking you fishing are very knowledgeable.

Our stay at Mubala was wonderfull, friendly staff and very good breakfast. The cabin is spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the plunger coffee and hot choclate every day! Awesome view over the Zambezi with very active bird life. We experienced the dinners to be expensive and not in line with similar establishments in Namibia. Management to consider more options for dinner, maybe a menu for more choice on single meals.
