Explore Namibia is a great agency to work with. Even during COVID they remained flexible and were able to give us a fantastic experience in Namibia and Botswana. Everything was well arranged and local contact was very responsive to help us when we had questions. All locations were beautiful

Booked a 4x4 incl. roof tent for 2 weeks. Very good service from Explore Namibia, we had to postpone our trip one time and also changed the duration for 2 times. No problem at all. Fair prices. Explore Namibia is very well organized. You get all relevant information for your journey from them, good organized in a booklet (from how to drive, proposals of campsites, relevant numbers to a shopping list etc.). Communication in German is also possible. For me 5 of 5 stars.

We did a 25 day self-drive safari with Explore Namibia.They are the most professional travel service I have come across in Southern Africa. The trip was well organised. They were great at emailing before the trip, helping us tweak the itinerary to suit our needs. They provide vouchers for each night’s accommodation and also give you a fantastic guide package when we picked up out 4x4. The vehicle was superb, and all the camping equipment was of high quality. The booklet they provide gives you your daily route, with detailed directions and some interesting facts about the places you visit. There were also some general tips and advice on driving on the roads in Namibia and border crossings. I can not recommend them enough. The best company I have every used in Namibia after nine visits.

Absolutely recommend Explore Namibia for car hire in Namibia. We hired a Hilux with rooftop tents for our visit and the truck, equipment and service were all excellent. From start to finish, we felt well looked after by Jasper, Abigail and the Asco team at pick-up/drop-off. Car hire included transfers to and from Windhoek Airport which took any worry out of finding the rental location. We were given a road map of Namibia and an Etosha map, plus lots of guidance on the truck and using the camping gear. The rental costs were very competitive too. We're planning another visit to this amazing country and would look no further than Explore. *****

Perfection from start to finish. We booked a last minute 8 day self-drive tour through Namibia. From start to finish Explore Namibia were amazing. We have very little 4x4/off road experience, but they ran us through everything and put us at ease. The cars and camping gear are top of the range, beautifully maintained and so easy to use. They also offer a 24h emergency helpline should you get into a pickle. Explore Nambia helped us plan an itinerary and even booked us campsites. This was a once in a lifetime trip....but we're already saving up to come again.

Explore Namibia assisted us organising one of the most interesting trips for my husband and myself. We had a self drive experience across Namibia during 12 days. The trip suggested by Erika was based upon my priority of interest. I found that it was well thought through. I am also amazed that how they organise car hire: we must watch a video before we got the car and one professional will do a demo to show you how to use the car - I thought it is very good and necessary. The whole process was clear and information was provided in a very transparent way. When we were on the road and encountered any issue, Erika was very quick to respond and solve these issues. Namibia is wonderful and definitely worth the trip. I also highly recommend Explore Namibia.

We had a great time renting the equipment. Everything worked well and the Toyota truck was very reliable. They did a good job explaining how everything worked and providing contact numbers should we have a problem. The only thing I would say is to speed up the drop-off/check-out process.

The trip was very carefully organized by Andrea who tried to understand our wishes and preferences and everything worked out perfectly! The hotels and campsites were of a very good standard and the recommended excursions were excellent! The app you use for the trip is very useful and simple, containing all the information you need. The welcome on arrival is great, an Explore Africa staff member explains the itinerary and gives you all the details. The car rental company used is excellent, the cars are new and in perfect condition. The trip was perfectly organized and we will definitely travel with Explore Africa again!

This company is a really good and safe choice for a 4x4 car rental for your self-drive tour around Namibia. We rented a toyota hilux with camping equipment. The car was in super good conditions, and the equipment included in the car is just exactly what you need.. a tent, a mattress, covers, pillows, gas tanks, griller, kitchen utensils, chairs, table, a big water tank to clean dishes/hands.. I am glad I chose this company and when I return to Namibia, will hire them again!

If you are renting a car in Namibia, it has to be from this place. Cars are great, people are nice, they help you in understanding how to drive the sometimes difficult gravel roads and they have all the gears necessary you'll need for a great trip. We spent incredible holidays in Namibia!! All the reservations with Explore Namibia was awesome. It was a mix of very luxurious lodge and more modest accommodations but with a lot of charms. The explication to get to the different places were clear and we didn't meet any issue with the bookings. We didn't have to use the emergency number, and we feel safe during all the trip. I definitely recommend Explore Namibia!

I had a very good experience from my first enquiry though booking to finally picking up my vehicle and heading out on a five week adventure. Yes, I would book through this agency again.

We rented a double cab Hilux with rooftop tent for 2.5 weeks through Explore Namibia. That basically means you get a car through a local car rental company in Windhoek (Asco) and some additional explanation about Namibia on arrival. The car was in great condition. Friendly personnel that really took the time to explain you everything from both Asco and Explore Namibia. I would definitely say that having a Dutch middleman (e.g. for the advice regarding insurance) was worth the little extra money compared to booking directly with Asco. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Explore Namibia. Luzelle and team took great care of us from the very beginning of the booking process until we dropped off our very dusty Land Cruisers and Hiluxes, several thousand exhilarating kilometers later! The vehicles were great and are expertly provisioned and well maintained despite the beating they take. One Hilux had minor transmission issues but when we called, they sent out a technician immediately to handle the issue. I would highly recommend Explore for a sublime African Adventure.

Excellent service. Excellent vehicles, every detail was thought through. I couldn't fault the quality of the vehicle and camping equipment. Perhaps there are more modern cars with bluetooth etc., but for the value and views, we didn't need, in fact were happy to be without, too much modernity. Thanks for underpinning a holiday we will remember for the rest of our days!
