Our breakfast spot every time we stay in Swakopmund. The Menu is super cool. Food is wholesome and yum, great variety of breakfast dishes or brechen on offer. Coffee is great. Service is wonderful. Decor is open, friendly and chill. Love this spot. Definite high recommendation.

The Village Cafe in Swakopmund is located in the center of town and a good place to enjoy a light meal or grab a cup of coffee at. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating: the indoor area is cozy, and the outdoor seating is decorated in a colorful village style. A friend recommended that I try the Melkkos (directly translated to Milk Food), a traditional South African sweet dish predominantly made with milk, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. I'm glad I did, because it was delicious! They really did the dish justice as it was sweet and creamy and perfect for a colder day in Swakopmund. Although I only tried the Melkkos, their menu has a nice variety of other dishes as well including some specialty coffees. Initially the service was a bit average, but the manager came over and made the experience better. She was friendly and attentive, and ensured that we had everything we needed. Overall, if you are looking for a café to relax in after exploring what Swakopmund has to offer, I can definitely recommend visiting The Village Café, especially to try the Melkkos.

Service was top notch! I had a cheese burger and while it wasn't bad, unfortunately it wasn't great either. Didn't like the mushroom sauce at all, it was flavourless and watery. Sides were pricey- N$26 for the sauce, N$27 for side of chips, N$12 for ideal milk instead of normal) , and that adds up to quite an expensive meal that didn't live up to expectations. Any case, really really good service.

Loved it. The decor is great. The food was terrific. The service was prompt without being intrusive. Highly recommended. They are normally closed on Sundays; except over long weekends and December. The open "Terminator" sandwich range is amazing.

Loved the breakfast and colorful decorations! The place has a long legacy in Swakopmund and you feel it in a good way. Their signs and the comments on the menu are hilarious 🤣 they have free WiFi for guests (ask for password) and paying with my phone was no problem.

What a great place!! A friend recommended me to come here for lunch and it was totally worth it! We ended up coming back the next day. Great service and a fun menu with delicious food! Everything we tried was really good. We especially enjoyed the terminator and salmon roll. If you end up in Swakopmund definitely come here!!! Lots of space inside as well as in outside patio. Best service in town, there's just no comparison. Friendly vibe the moment you walk in. It's always the small details that impress me, like when I have just finished my drink or meal and then the 1st server that passes by clears my empty plate or glass. Most places I'd have to wait for my table server or even ask another server to please remove the empty plates or glasses. So that has made a huge impression on me. And the service is all done with a smile. Oh,and the food is delicious too.

This is a colourful and eclectic restaurant in Swakopmund that swallows you up in its arty, homely feel and happy energy. This popular eatery is full of humoristic messages which immediately makes you feel at home. The staff are very friendly and service driven, while food is excellent. One of the few restaurants I've come across that you're allowed to bring your dog or cat with you (they have menu for pets! )
