My boyfriend and I just had lunch there. The people working there were nice and friendly at first. Then we found a cockroach in my boyfriend’s food (as seen in the photo). We told one of the workers and he proceeded to tell us that it was just a leaf that they use to cook with. We had already checked the “leaf” and it was definitely a cockroach. We took this picture just in case. We decided to just pay and leave as to not create a scene. While we were paying, they kept insisting it was a leaf. I would not recommend it here. Aside from the cockroach, the food was pretty mediocre anyways. I’d go somewhere else.
*SCAM DO NOT EAT HERE*!! Will charge you twice as much as the menu prices say. The fish tasted very old.
The Samosas are amazing, that’s probably the only thing I would order again. Everything else was average and over salted. But 5 Stars for the Samosas, just get those trust me (perfect pastry to potato ratio) and the tamarind sauce seals the deal.
The food was not that well, we ordered a thali1. It was pricey $20 each.
The goat and chicken curry were the worst dishes I have ever had in my lifetime. The service was disappointing. The elderly man taking orders didn’t pay attention and gave us three incorrect dishes. Additionally, the prices on the menu and the bill were different, so make sure to double-check.
Though the place was not tidy enough , we hoped the food might be good . Unfortunately the dishes were not like we expected , it was not tasty, the chicken curry was plain without any taste, the chicken biriyani had small sharp bones in it. The dinning table was not near, the toilet didn’t had toilet paper not neat. Also we ordered masala tea but they made tea with tea bag, hot water and some sugar and milk , was plain white in colour . They charged 51.20 $ and we left 3/4 of the food in the plate . Had a very terrible and rough experience .This was the worst food I ever had.
Yep - no 'atmosphere'; but this very ordinary little cafe is quiet and peaceful, and has super friendly staff who love a little chat when you've finished your meal. We had veggie burgers and fries which were yummy and the juices were good too. Not flash, ostentatious or expensive - just a nice little cafe serving good food with a smile.
Got recommended to have one plate of traditional Fijian food. The guy said $45 for it when I ordered, but charged me $65 at the end. No price marked on the little pamphlet, so I couldn’t argue. A bit pricey.
Yuk. Order 2 sirloin steak with fries, medium rare. What we got was 1 steak and chips and 1 steak egg and cassava. Not medium rare. Goat Currie and it was tougher than an old work boot. The lady in front of us when paying handed over a 100$ note and got change for a 50. The staff insisted it was a 50 very rude customer service and suboptimal food 🙄. Avoid at all cost. It's not cheap and not worth it.
Somebody recommended this place as having good fish and Fijian food as well as the Indian food. We loved it. We both had the Fijian coconut curry and casava that the proprietor recommended. One with fish, one with prawns and both were awesome. The food was exactly what we wanted and the service was excellent. I would absolutely go again.
We have been to this place every time we have had a holiday in Fiji and it has never disappointed. Especially for vegetarians the food is great. Nothing can be done about the heat but if you sit out on the veranda at the front of the shop you will get a bit of a breeze and a nice look at everybody passing by. It is never disappointed us and we will go back every time we are in Fiji
