Very bad quality of food during durga puja. Any road side stall is better than this. The special arsalan kebab smells rotten. All othe curry we have tasted was very average. I should have had lunch in my home.

This restaurant was close to our home and served excellent tasty food.....It is really a nice place to have your food.Biriyani just amezing...and verity of non veg item u can find .so if u r in taratala and looking for food then please come here.... The smell of the biryani itself makes the human crave. Kolkata is biryani fanatic and the very few names that comes to your mind when you search for the best biryani they are Arsalan... The aroma the texture the taste of Arsalan biryani is just mind blowing...just the right amount of spices which gives a mild delightful aroma to the long grain light yellow fluffy rice.....just awesome.....!!!!!!!!!!! Arsalan Biryani best in Kolkata!! i really loved the biryani from here it has very good taste.... Biryani aloo and mutton was very well cooked. One of my favourite places to have biryanis. the quality ab’s taste of biryanis in this restaurant of great but sometimes they really mess things up like they give you small meat portions and sometimes taste a bit below average. Food quality is great, staffs are very helpful. From what I heard from my cousin that if you come to the restaurant in a car and want to take a takeaway then the stars will come to your car to take your order ab’s will deliver the order in your car and you do not need to get out of the car.

Waiting time for takeaway orders is a bit longer than usual. Packaging is excellent. Rolls are moderate in taste.

The employees behaviour isn't that good (not all employees) You have to stand outside the restaurant if you have ordered for takeaway. It doesn't matter if it's sunny or raining, you can't stand and wait on the lobby for your order. The food quality isn't that great but yes, it's good as compared to other Resturants.

This is near new alipore and we had dinner there. I had Mutton biriyani and the aroma of the biriyani is just fabulous. The Mutton is so tender. It will melt in your mouth when you put that in. And the taste of the biriyani is so good. You can parcel the biriyani if it's too heavy in quantity for you they wilk pack that for you. Ambiance of the restaurant is so nice and cool. Chicken and Mutton bith biriyani are of Rs. 345 and the quantity is really good for one person.

I have dined here innumerable number of times but never had the opportunity to review it. So here it goes. The name ARSALAN tells it all. They are famous for their indian food specially biriyani in Kolkata. So it was a Friday afternoon and me and a friend decided to drop in to have some food. The outlet is just opposite the Mint at Majerhat. It has both AC and non AC seating arrangements. It was empty when we got there. There is not much to mention about the interior as they have not really changed anything right from the very 1st day. Pretty basic decor with curtains and lights. The one thing that is great to sit upstairs is that they have huge glass windows and u can get a full view of the streets beneath. Anyway we sat down and ordered pretty basic food which was mutton biriyani and Murgh Makhani. Food was served in about 15mins which was commendable. 1. Mutton Biriyani - it was served hot but really lacked that special ARSALAN taste. I have had much better biriyani here before but that day I found it rather very ordinary. But the mutton piece was quite good. Very soft and properly cooked, which was the saviour. The amount served was quite decent, no complaints in that. 2. Murgh Makhani - Now this dish was amazing. I can really feel the taste of that butter and cream. It was smooth and very very tasty. It really made up for the biriyani. The chicken pieces were soft and properly cooked and I loved the gravy. So this was kind of a mixed experience for me as I have had better food here before. They also serve awesome Chinese food which I would definitely review in the future. I don't know if anyone from the management would read this but if so plz try to improve the decor inside. I have seen plenty of stains on the walls specially around the AC's. Try to give some new and vibrant colours to the walls and I also missed music.

The egg rolls and chicken rolls of ARSALAN  are just awesome... The chicken biriyani is also very delicious... When you come to Behala (Taratala) you should definitely try the rolls of Arsalan...

This is a family restaurant..... varieties of Indian moghlai dishes are available..though it's famous for biriyani... last time I ordered biriyani, lime soda, tandoor chicken butter masala, firni and salad... and it tasted best as usual.

I am order regular basis from arsalan mutton biryani and mutton kosha , but from last month arsalan is not maintain any types of quality and quantity . 1 week ago i order from Zomato when arsalan sent me like a stale food , but it was refunded by Zomato. Last time 5th Oct also refund Rs 541 by Zomato for small size mutton pcs , actually this was not a small size it was mutton bone only , and yesterday again I am order special mutton biryani and mutton kosha from swiggy this time also arsalan sent me poor quantity of food,1 mutton pice was everage size and 1 mutton pice was like a bone only.this is not expected from arsalan , in this cases swiggy is not refunded any amount, where arsalan is charge Rs 210 for 1 mutton pice. in this cases Zomato is solve this problem imideatly 👍👍 Swiggy is not provided any justified resolution

The place is too good for having food , all types of cuisine is served here . The people are all professionals and greet in a very gentle way. The food delivery gets a bit slow. The taste is good and yummy.

They have held onto the taste. Both the mutton biriyani and chicken chap were spot on. The chicken tengri kabab was also good but the chicken was not the most succulent I've had. Service was as expected in this place.

Delicious food. Excellent service. 'Mutton Special Biryani' is a must try, which comes with two large pieces of mutton, one potato, one egg and the price is Rs. 330 only. And don't go for the "Mutton Lucknowi Biryani", because they don't prepare it properly. Too much spicey and they use too much vegetables (Tomatoes and Green Chillies) in it. Traditional Lucknowi or Awadhi Biryanis should not be that spicey and rich. Actually it should be very light in taste and not that vegetables in it. Also, Rs. 342 is way too much for a Lucknowi Biryani according to the quantity they serve.

Located at New Alipore, just opposite to the government mint. Nice Ambience. Courteous staff. They are maintaining all the hygienic standards mentioned by WHO. Ordered a special mutton biryani which had 2 pieces of mutton, a potato and a egg. The quantity and quality is quite good. It costed INR 400. The dish was good enough for 2heads.

It is located near Taratala More, opposite The Mint & besides Behala Gurudwara. Small but nice place to enjoy the Arsalan delicacies.

It was a good experience although. But they will put mineral water and they also charge for it . So it is better to have plain water it is also good.

Arsalan is one of most popular nonveg restaurant group in kolkata. They have many branches in kolkata deferent area. They have good test from their menu.

Don't ever order from this restuarant. I ordered for 2 special mutton biriyanis there was no mutton in it. Only burnt rice and aloo that tasted worst I ever had. The quantity was just little. ₹900 wasted.. I ordered via zomato there was no refund and I had to be embarrassed in front of guests. Plus the kababs were worser than roadside ones.

Mutton biriyani without egg costs ₹300/-. chicken biryani with egg costs ₹300/- plus 5%gst. Not tasty as compared to price. Smells too much cloves. Mutton size less than medium. But ambiance is good with ac room.

Another fine Arsalan restaurant in South Kolkata. When I was there, the ground floor was under renovation and was directed towards the first floor. It was a mezzanine floor with hitherto seating arrangement. The space between tables was a bit congested to be honest. But what I like Arsalan the most is the quick fire service and food quality. We ordered Mutton Biryani and Mutton Chap. The Biryani was aromatic and complete with a big piece of boiled potato (a mandatory addition in Kolkata Biryanis), well-cooked mutton piece and long grained Basmati Rice. It was flavorful and the portion size was perfect in nature. I enjoyed every bit of it. The mutton chap, though too oily, was excellent in taste. Very soft mutton pieces and I loved it as a complement to the Biryani. Will surely visit once again. Staff behavior was courteous during my visit. Since the ground floor was getting renovated, it is not wheelchair-friendly for the time being. COVID protocols can be followed more rigorously, but it being a restaurant, its very difficult to follow the same. Prices are a little on the upper side, but given the quality and service, it was worth it.
