πŸ‘πŸ‘ Just loved the place. We were dying with hunger and this place came as a rescuer. Even though it was 5 at the evening which was already too late they served us whole heartedly. The items were delicious and the hygiene was also maintained. The rate is a bit high but the food worth every pennies of it... People often mention good, Bengali, taste, kosha, authentic, bengali, quantity, chicken, fish, experience,

Just loved the place. We were dying with hunger and this place came as a rescuer. Even though it was 5 at the evening which was already too late they served us whole heartedly. The items were delicious and the hygiene was also maintained. The rate is a bit high but the food worth every pennies of it. The fish items deserve special mention. If you are near this place and thinking for a quick bite then this place is good to go.

One of the best bengali food restaurants in the city, clean hygienic and most importantly taste is authentic. Like most of the outlets this outlet too has the same vibe. Must visits if one is looking for some bengali delicacy at reasonable prices.

Got the chance to try out Indigenous Bengali cuisine from this beautiful restaurant. The foods were mixture of both sweet and savory. We ordered Rice, Aloo Posto, Bhetki Paturi, Chingri Cutlet, Maccher Chop, Dal( Begali style - forgot the name), Dim curry and Misti Doi. It was a wholesome lunch I would say. We started digging in with the Chingri cutlet and Maccher Chop. They were Crispy and toothsome. I loved both. It was time for main course, had rice with dal, crispy fried potato( Jhuri Aloo Bhaja), Aloo posto, Dim curry and Bhetki Paturi. Bengali style Dal was new to my tastebuds. It was lustrous and had coconut bits in it( which I liked). Squeezing lemon to the dal enhanced the flavour. Aloo Posto was another authentic Bengali dish, which was different again. Bhetki paturi is a must try food for fish lovers. Initially, I found the bhetki( my first bhetki experience) little smelly, but got used to it with my second bite. I loved the taste of kasundi in it. Coming to Misti Doi, I have eaten misti Doi before in packed plastic container. Finally, I had the privilege to try in it's original form i.e the Matkawala. The place was peaceful and well maintained. Staffs were cordial and swift. Totally satisfied with the food and services provided. If u r new to Kolkata and looking out for authentic Bengali cuisine, then this is the place.

Uff the taste of authentic Bengali cuisine was finger licking good 🀀😍. I went there with my friends to give them my birthday treat. MENU :) Polao 10/10, Sada vat ( basmoti rice 🍚😌), Mutton kosha 9/10 ( Jive jol asche Bhai 🀀), Chicken kosha (perfect balance between spice and sweetness) πŸ˜€ Dal of the day (motorsuti diye mugdal) πŸ˜‹, Chutney of the day ( khejur er chatni)πŸ™‡πŸΌ, Aam er chutney 7/10 πŸ˜ƒ Alu bhaja ( quantity is enough for 2 people)πŸ«‚, Bhetki fish fingers (8/10) πŸ™‚ Go ahead and enjoy your meal vai πŸ₯ΉπŸ˜ Note :- every meal on their menu will not be available for every day. '_' Be ready to hear from them that a particular dish is not for u as if -.."NO that's not available or sesh hoye geche" and then you'll figure out which family is sitting beside your table ( they came later) will get THAT PERTICULAR DISH on their table served by them. But I personally love the quality of their food so despite being humiliation I will go there to eat that πŸ˜† Now you know what to do.

Ok me and my friend went to this place to try authentic bengali cuisine I heard a lot about this place before so we make a plan to go over there. We ordered plain rice, mug dal, alu bhaja, jumbo ilish, chicken kosha. 1. First the quality of the rice is very very poor, it was kind of blackish texture and the rice is literally not good. ZERO out of 10 2. The mug dal is so so not upto the mark. 3 out of 10 3. They called it jumbo ilish but as per my past experience it is not at all jumbo they changed it for 400 inr but it is just a normal in size. Though the taste is WOW! 10 out of 10 4. Chicken kosha is sweet in taste really didn't like that at all, we have tried chicken kosha in many places but it's taste was not sweet don't know about it. Never tried sweet chicken in my entire life. Don't know about it. Now get into the service point of view if you served water then you have to serve a glass to drink it it's a basic courtesy but hopefully they didn't have that. Really disappointed!!!

Honestly speaking , I've visited this place in 2016 at that time i was just thrilled by it's both quality and quantity of food (ordered non veg) . I was just in love with the place . Again , i visited in 2020 during the pandemic but they had there standards ( ordered veg) . Now in 2022.... I'm bound to say the quality and the quantity of food they served was not upto the mark i had high expectations but i didn't happen . We ordered lunch , one could clearly say that it was not the fresh meal it maybe cooked yesterday . My comment might look rude but i would openly say to members of bhojohari to change their system ..be the standard of food also the quantity . I'm really disheartened . I didn't expect from your restaurant .

A very common taste of foods in an uncommon famous place of traditional eating house. Poor table service, unprofessional servings of foods (eg. multiple plates being served in one bowl) , low quantity of food per serving, and so on. Very disappointing.

Whenever I come to Kolkata I use to order lunch from Bhojohori Manna. Food is testy and good. But one thing I noticed in each supply of lunch order that they do not provide a spoon costing around 10 to 20 paise which pose a great problem while consuming food items by hands. They can charge a rupee adding with over all cost of the food. But in absence of a spoon I had to consume food by hand which is not hygienic staying outside home. Would request the restaurant authority to provide atleast basic necessity of a spoon costing around 10 to 20 paise. Very disheartened with the style of food packaging and serving. Next time will think twice before placing the order.

If you’re not so concerned about the decor or atmosphere then this place is for the Bengali food lovers! Food was absolutely priceless, super tasty and so wholesome. Simply brilliant, excellent and fantastic. Highly recommend Bengali restaurant! It beats its competitors such as Kasturi by a million miles. Bhojohori Manna has achieved a long history of auspicious food awards since 2013, such as The Times of India Food Awards. They are now successfully celebrating their 20 year anniversary. Let’s hope they continue to serve such moreish tasty food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Few of the signature dishes were not up to the mark.. and over-all all the dishes had a sweet taste to it.

I think this is the one-stop destination for authentic Bengali food. The fish preparations I had here reminded me of my mom's home-cooked meals. Chicken daakbangla and mutton kosha were so tasty with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness that is signature to Bengali dishes. You also have a plethora of vegetarian dishes. This outlet is better than the Esplanade one, having had almost similar dishes in both the outlets.

Y'all must try this bhetki fish fry. We had a very refreshing doi er ghol, basanti pulao (3 plates for 4 adults), chicken korma (1 for 1), mutton kosha (1 for 1), chicken kosha (1 for 1), chingri malaicurry (1 for 1) and jhuro aloo bhaja. All of this was so delicious that we were barely left with time to click pictures.

Has detoriated a lot as per food taste and quantity. I order a mutton dakbanglow and what I got is more of a kasa... They were pioneers of this particular dish and taste wise I t used to be very different from kasha. But now only the price has gone high taste has detoriated.

If you want to taste traditional bengali cuisine bhojohori manna is one of the best in city. Food was hot and tasty. Nothing to complain. Place could be little more beautiful with the addition of proper lighting and artifacts.

It is nice orthodox hotel for bengali food lovers. It is situated in a very quiet place in Hindustan Road. Foods are quite good and affordable.

The worst bengali restaurant in kolkata to visit..called them at 12:09 pm to enquire if enchor dalna is available and was confirmed with a yes,so took a friend there . Reached at 1:10 pm and then was told after ordering and waiting for 15 minutes that enchor is over.the manager denied any calls being made to them but when showed the call logs, they accepted the call and said enchor was over in 1 hour, unbelievable liars on the face..how do you live with such blunt fooling? Fish kalis is even less than the kashondi given with bhetki fry.the size of allo is bigger than the fish give.. unprofessional and rude staff..i recommend that people should boycott this restaurant!

The place provides authentic Bengali food. I tried only vegetarian dishes. The dish made with banana flower was particularly very tasty. Had the cool drink made with unripe mango. It was very much thirst quenching. The place was clean and had a very good ambience. The cost is not costly and not cheap also. The pricing is acceptable. Overall, a good experience with the place. Very much recommended.

Although some of the menu choices were not available we enjoyed our meal here as always. We started with a delicious prawn cutlet (must try) and then we ate plain white rice, moong-masoor daal, alu bhaja (they didn't have their mochar chop or vegetable chop today which is generally awesome), bhetki paturi and then we wanted to have murgi jhol but instead had to opt for chicken dakbunglow since the murgi jhol was not available. We didn't pick any dessert today but from past experience they have good desserts to try. Tip: if you are opting for a chicken dakbunglow or mutton dakbunglow then go for Basanti Pulao (they are well known for it) and please do try the prawn cutlet (I'm sure you have had your fair share of normal fish fries)
