🫀 Food is highly overpriced and the taste is not that good. Since the place is very old so we expected a better quality of food but we were disappointed. The quantity of food is also an issue, it's very less. People often mention good, Chinese, restaurant, taste, quality,

Nice cosy little place. Was happy to see the owners having the same food as was being served to us. Gives the guests confidence in the quality of food. The waiter dada was gracious enough to suggest a veg version of fried wontons and it was absolutely delicious. The washroom was old but so clean which is another plus point. I would love to go there again.

One of the best place to have chinese cuisine in kolkata, the restaurant is at walking distance from birla planetarium and st. Paul's church... Here you can have one of the finest chinese dishes at a very reasonable rate... I would personally recommend Prawn chilly and Nonveg mixed fried rice ... But you can also opt for othe dishes also ...

An economical Chinese restaurant with a very authentic taste. The place is located at a very strategic point. Seating capacity is very small. However you can take away from here. Anyone looking for authentic Indian Chinese taste please visit

The atmosphere is a bit uncomfortable if you're claustrophobic but the food is DAMN freaking good. I still remember the taste vividly. Authentic Chinese for sure

New Embassy is one of the oldest Chinese restaurant. It's in the prime location, just a few steps from Exide crossing towards maidan. This is actually a hidden gem. They serve really great food at reasonable price. Quantity is also adequate. It's not a very spacious one. Indoor seating arrangement is okay okay. The owner, the staffs all are very well behaved. 😊 It’s a really good place to have family dinner or to hangout with friends. If you like Chinese food, do visit. πŸ’–

Just checked in with my family here. I haven't had such good honey chilli pork in a while. I have some compliants, though. The quantity of the food could have been better. The dishes were so good, but the pieces of meat could have been bigger, simply because doing so would make the food a 5/5. The meifoon was great and the chicken in red wine, as suggested by the owner, was a flavourful accompaniment to our selected spread. I'm definitely going back for that honey chilli pork!

This is an old place near elgin road. Might appear a bit lacklustre compared to the newer and fancier places, but what it lacks in show, makes up in the taste perspective. I would suggest their honey chilli pork and pan fried fish with a noodle of your choice. Pretty good quantity and the staff behaviour is quite good.

The food was so delicious. The smell of food reminds me of my childhood memories. And it's tastes so good. Falling with love with their foods.

It is not very big, the space is cramped but the food here is awesome. Nice place to dine. Very old Chinese restaurant. Very close to the Maharaja Restaurant is the age old New Embassy. Try it, you won't regret it.

For a city that has Tiretti Bazar and Tangra, this one fairs poorly, especially with the Manchurian dishes, the Szechwan are just marginally better cooked. The authenticity is there but the quality has declined from the past generation.

So good food and cheap.. absolute authentic old chinese restaurant for which our kolkata stands out.. We had chilli momos, gravy noodles, chicken in red wine and fried rice.. good quantity and very good quality of food.. need to try out other preparations as well..

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Recently visited this place and trust me, it was worth every penny. The ambiance was great. We had Mutton Chello Kebab. The kebabs were very juicy and tender, I couldn't stop drooling! The egg yolk was runny and just perfect. The rice portion had a nice fresh smell and all together it was magical in...

😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee. The fish kaviraji was satisfactory. Despite the fact that there is a no-smoking sign on the premises, I observed people smoking...
