Overall experience was wonderful. Beautiful ambience with delicious food, no doubt it was completely satisfying❤️. I found this place very less crowded maybe because of the weekdays. Every food was top to the mark. The Dum Biryani's taste is slightly different from the typical Kolkata Briyani ( Arsalan, Aminia, Dada Boudi, Shiraz, etc) but it feels great, and yes yes don't worry along with this you will get one egg, and most favourite Biryani's Alu🤤. A full plate of Dum Biryani can cover two people (if taking side dishes), and 4 pieces of mutton are in a full plate of Biryani. So if you have not tried it yet then you should try it once.👍

We went for a birthday meal on a recommendation from a friend. We did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. The decor is trendy and the price very reasonable. I would recommend this to anyone and will visit again. But the waiters were too casual.

Visited Kareem's last Sunday and as usual this place didn't disappoint me . Odered for Chicken Afghani Tandoori (full) - loved the creamy texture ,it was extremely juicy as well. Must try For Main Course we had odered for Tandoori Roti ,Chicken Lahori and Chicken Hara Masala . Personally loved the Lahori way more than the Chicken Hara Masala , the quantity is less compared to the price charged for the gravies . The Murton Biriyani was amazing ,not your typical Kolkata style biriyani it taste more like Lucknow or Hyderabad style , it has a taste somewhere in between. Highly recommend one💯

Food quality is good..I loved the mutton dum biriyani it contains four pieces of mutton, egg and potato..kebab platter was also good with tender chickens.. but the worst thing is the mineral water bottle costs 120/- and cold drink can printed 35/- billed as 110/-.

The kebab was good but the chicken tikka biryani and mutton dum biryani was not at all good. It was almost tasteless. This was not what I expected. This place has maintained all protocols of safety and has not compromised on the quality of food.Sanitization tunnels, hand sanitizers , thermal scanners and adequate social distancing has been maintained.The food was great and the staff was courteous . I have been searching for a good restaurant in saltlake region and find it by aco incidence. I have visited today for lunch and have an amazing time in this restaurant. The place is properly sanitised. They are maintaining all the covid related protocols. All the staffs are wearing gloves head cap and mask. They are well behaved and enquired several times about the food. Now coming to the atmosphere of this restaurant it was fabulous, it is decorated in a very sofisticated styling with elegance. Here comes the food we have ordered 1. Chef's special chicken peshawari tikka which is mouth watering. I could have eaten 2 or 3 more plate, it is so much delicious. It has 6 pieces of chicken kabab cooked in a yellowish creamy texture malai. The malai it self is soo yummy in taste. Chicken is adequately cooked and very tender. 10 on 10. 2. Kareem special mutton dum biryani. It has four medium to large pieces of juicy soft mutton with a trademark piece of alu & one egg along with a good chunk of rice.The taste of the biryani was awesome it is not typical kolkata biryani rather it is type of hyderabadi biryani. They make the biryani only with the spices, they have not used rose water, kawra water or mitha atar. The portion was alright but could have been little more.But for the taste it was worth every penny 3. Raita. It was complimentary with the biryani. But it was also very good, had such a good raita in a very long time. It is very thick in consistency. It tastes little sweet, salty astringent.I like the taste. 9.5 on 10 4. Lastly we tried Firni. Here it is named malai firni. And the name is completely justified. It tastes heaven after the kababs and biryani it is the taste thats the tastebuds need. Verdict. Completely worth every penny and would recommend it to every one. Definitely worth a visit. And i am sure one visit follows another visit.

Some of the dishes we tried and fell in love with: Murgh Musallam Mutton Rara Masala. Dum ki Chap. Assorted breads. Malai Firni Shahi Tukda Raan Biryani had to be the showstopper, light tasty aromatic Biryani, with loads of mutton. This dish costs 2490/- (exclusive of taxes), enough for 5 people. Large Nalli wala mutton pieces were in ample throughout this large plate of Heaven❤️. Located just beside 10 Downing Street, easy to locate. The interior is well lit but the place doesn't offer too many seating arrangement. Even though we went on 26th Dec evening, we didn't have to wait. It's famous for North Indian delicacies. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Malai Kebab. The kebabs were big cubes of chicken, very well cooked and marinated, but had an overdose of Cheese. Biryani was good, had a good portion, the chicken piece was juicy and had that authentic dum pukht style. Overall it was a good experience. Cost us ₹1765 for 4 people. 2 Biryanis and 1 plate of Kebabs.

Possibly the worst biryani I have ever had. Excessive essence (read that Kewra Water), and stale chicken pieces to ruin your taste palate. The chicken smelled like dead rubber for which you end up paying 400 bucks. I wouldn’t ever recommend anyone for this place.

But the biggest let down is the expectations built and the return we get in terms of taste. The mainstay of any eatery is it's taste, so just a feedback on it. Please up the taste game and the Kareem's can be a marathon runner in Sector V.

It's a great place for delicious non veg food especially biryani & kebabs. The waiting time is usually 15-30 minutes and my be more on occasions and peak time like between 8:30 to 10:00 pm. The only problem is parking, however on road in front, may park your vehicle @anywhere between Rs. 10-20 per hour which depends on rush and peak tome and subject to availability of space.

I visited the place during the covid 19 situation. The sanitization system was on point. But the service was a little poor. They take a bit much time to serve yout food. But honestly the food quality they provide is superb and the food were delicious.

Before digging into the menu, I would like to happily say that this restaurant (the Sector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata outlet) is maintaining a quite convincing safety protocol amidst these COVID times. Hand sanitization, temperature checkups, whole body sanitization is what you will undergo as you enter. This is followed by sanitization of the dining places. We were two and we ordered Murgh Anarkali kabab, Murgh Afghani, Fish Ajwaini Tikka as starters and Butter Garlic Naan and Karachi Gosht as main course. I was feeling a bit down that I couldn't order Biryani because the starters were of quite a fair amount. All the items were quite good. Murgh Afghani was great. Went for lunch. They had adequate pandemic precautions like sanitizers, skin temperature check and even oxygen saturation measuring machine (pulse oxymeter)which is however shared between visitors potentially exposing to virus. Food preparation time was 20 minutes and we were the first visitor of the day. Food quatity is good for a single person , however little expensive to me. Car parking was available right outside on road by paying Rs 40. Food tastes good but not great , both mutton and chicken preparations are good. You can visit once and may visit again of you like, I am not going back as it was not value for money. They charge 3k for 1 starter, 2 main course , 1 ghost biriyani, 6 tandoori roti and 3 firnis.

The preparation was good and generous propotion too but we found a piece of bone. Worst part, the manager tried to befool us and started giving lame arguments. Though he tried to compensate us with a complimentary dessert and 10% discount on food bill. Kareems salt lake is a fine dine restaurant and finding a bone in vegetarian meal is a major lapse. A small apology and better handling would have gone a long way and enhanced the brand image in my opinion. Over all good place and recommendable!

Kareem’s is one of the biggest Brands of Mughlai Cuisine in whole India or probably the world. Treating us with good food since 1995, Kareem’s opened this Sector V outlet on 2017. This restaurant will amaze you with its classiness & professionalism. The first thing which strikes you and will make you feel right at home is the humble behaviour of every staff. I have never been welcomed and made felt special this way before. They were always there and helped us in any kind of situation even if they were really small issues. The two storeyed restaurant is decorated beautifully with a beautiful stair case, laid back sitting area on both floors (enough for 130 people at a time), a huge mirror on the wall and the cosy waiting lounge. Every corner of this place oozes royalty. The food surely justifies the brand name. Normally I recommend only a few dishes from a huge number of items from a restaurant. But Kareem’s won me over with every single dish. The dishes we had were, Chicken Peshowari Tikka A tomato based sauce is easy to mess up and it can make the dish really sour and non-appetizing. But this chicken peshowari tikkas had the perfect amount of delicious sauce with flavourful and soft chicken pieces. One of the best Tikkas I have ever had. Mutton Nalli Barra Kebab Being a Bengali, mutton nallis are always my favourite and now imagine having it as a kebab. The mutton was flavourful with the rib being quite juicy. I loved it. Recommended. Butter Garlic Prawn Prawns beautifully flavoured in butter garlic sauce, one of the best appetizers Kareem’s serve. Tangdi Kulfi Kebab Best among the bests. This dish was like heaven on earth. I mean chicken & cheese; how can you not love the combination? Soft kebab topped with generous amount of cheese sauce, I would recommend to share a single dish if you are planning to have main course as it is quite heavy and can kill your appetite. Murgh Musallam This was my first-time having Musallam and I have to say it stands by its popularity. It was served with Zafrani Pulao and the combination was just perfect. Chicken Hara Masala Chicken Curry based of various green items like coriander, mint & green chillies, it was just a perfect side dish to have with rotis/naan. Dum ki Chaap Mutton Ribs cooked in spicy chaap/gravy, another perfect dish to have with Biryani/Pulao or rotis. Mutton Rara Masala Mutton Rara Masala is made of mutton pieces & mutton keema. The gravy was spicy red and quite delectable. Raan Biryani My first time having Raan Biryani and it blew my mind off completely. Flavourful Zafrani rice filled with mutton pieces, this was just so delectable. The quantity is enough for 5 and have to say the best dish served by Kareem’s. Malai Firni The creamy texture of the firni was just perfect and it helped us to end our day in a sweet note. This was possibly one of my best outdoor food experiences and I cherished every single moment of it. Thank you, Kareem’s for the warm welcome.

It was my first experience with my family and it was a quite satisfactory one.We waited in the que to get a seat and it was almost a 2 hrs wait. Finally we got a seat and then again was waiting for another 45 min for our oders to come.Once it was there we gobelled and to our surprise the food quality, taste, quantity was all very satisfactory.Worth the wait.

5 star for food. 1 star for management. Average 3 star. Food quality and taste are delicious. But customer management is too poor. If you are 4 people group visiting there, and 4 seater is not empty, then you have to wait even if 6 seater tables are vacant. They hold it for bigger group. Thats pretty awkward I found. Another bad experience is, the misplaced our order and delivered it to other table. And we were just waiting. We just asked for 2 qty naan. We waited 25 minutes. Then when asked they do not have any clue where the order is.

Nice ambience, prime location just in the heart of sector 5. Seating arrangements available in ground floor as well as 1st floor. In weekend it remains very busy, so it will be better to book table in advance. Food quality was good, pricing is appreciate. Hygiene was maintained properly. Covid protocols are maintained well

kareem's special raan biryani is one of the best item of the restaurant. It can be shared by 5 or 6 people.

We ordered the chicken platter and mutton Rann biriyani. It was enough for 6 people. Then we also ordered masala soda,thumps up and firni. All the items were good in taste.

Had been ordering out from here for a while. But visited the restaurant for the 1st time. A bit uptight in giving some a table of 6 when only 3 of us had arrived. We were not given the table till atleast 5 of us where here. I think that might be due to less seating capacity. Apart from that the service is impeccable and quick. Love their malai Tikka and briyani. We had the special raan briyani.. and it was heavenly 😍

Food is no doubt lip smaking super Yummmy!! 💯😋 Biriyani served here is very flavourful Kolkata biriyani.. Chesse malai tikka kebab was super yummy & recommended.. Butter chicken is one of the best & prepared in authentic way.. It's super yummy.. Overall a must visit place!

Peshawari kebab was mouth watering. Chicken tikka biryani and Lahori chicken were also tasty.

Awesome food. Good ambiance all the waiters are Polite and Freindly. We ordered Peshwari Chicken taste and quantity both are good. Also we tried Mutton Chopli kebab it was awesome.

We visited as group of five friends. Purpose was to try the iconic Ran-biryani. Definitely it's one of the best dishes we tried ever. Quantity is good for five. Also don't forget to order Shahi tukda in dessert. It's beyond expectations. Overall I liked the ambience and quality of food.

Biriyani is okish, I mean I felt the masala was too less and even the quantity. One full plates would actually be good for only one hungry person. But then chicken malai kebab was excellent 👌 was super creamy cheesy with soft 5pieces of chicken

First time visit Kareem's. The foods are awesome and delicious with very Good quantity. The dish of chicken Jahangiri is awesome and so so tasty. Biryani, butter naan all dishes are too good. Behaviour of all staffs are very good. They are very much polite. They are always in serving mood and they help to the customer to choose the dishes. They properly sanitize and they are always wearing mask. I just refer to everyone. Foods, behaviour of staffs all are very very good.

Have been here countless times and this place has never compromised with quality on most occassions. Stand out dishes would be raan biryani(used to cost 1800 some years back. Now it costs 2490) , nalli biryani, potli kebab.

The Food here is breathtaking, a must try for biriyani lover (specially biryani).The place is located in the heart of the Salt Lake city sector V, bustling with corporates. Surrounded by offices, you will see this place usually filled with people from the same workplace. Located just beside 10 Downing Street, easy to locate. Interior of this place is very beautiful and aristocratic and ambience is very delightful.... We ordered Chicken Malai Kebab, Chicken Kebabs, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Masala and they taste very delicious.... A must visit place if you are a foodie.

I recently visited Kareem's at Salt Lake with a group of 13 friends, and it was a fantastic experience. We tried their Malai Tikka, Kareem's Special Murgh Afgani Tikka, and Raan Biryani. The food was simply amazing, bursting with flavors that left us wanting more. The service was also commendable, with attentive staff taking care of our needs. Overall, Kareem's Salt Lake outlet provided us with a delightful culinary journey, and I highly recommend it for its delectable food and excellent service. You can mark it as one of the must try restaurant in Kolkata.

Excellent food!!! It is difficult to match the superb taste and quality of food, as served by this outlet. It's fine dining, so budget around Rs.1000 to Rs.1200 atleast per head, and it's totally worth it. Definitely try the chivon or mutton dishes

We really had a pleasant experience here. Price is slightly on the higher side but most of the items were good.We really liked the potli and paneer kababs. Did not like the halim here. Biryani was good and so was the firni.

Went with my friend today to visit this outlet. This was my first time at Kareem’s and I absolutely loved it. We tried the Chicken Dum Biryani and Chilly Milly Chicken Kebab. It was really good both taste and quantity wise. Biryani was light and fragrant. Service was impeccable as well. Will definitely visit again.

I visited saltlake Kareem's for 1st time, and the visit was pleasant , we visited the place for dinner, and that time the restaurant was near about empty, and it was almost 11at night, but the employees of the restaurant treated us very sophisticatedly. At first i would like to say about the ambiance , which was great as like as other Kareem's and of course the theme was the same as other outlates, but the restaurant is hell big . Now if I say about the food , we have ordered chicken kalimiri kababs, butter naan, butter chicken & kadai chicken. All of the dishes was tasty but i liked the butter chicken most, rest of the items were so so to me. Kalimiri kababs were not that impressive to me. But people can try once. Price are always high of Kareem's. For a single dish you have to pay ₹400 atlist. Overall experience was great. If you like to have food from different foods different restaurants , you can check it out the restaurant.

I have visited Kareem's a number of times and I have loved every time. The food quality, the hospitality and the experience has been top notch for me. I have visited with colleagues, friends and family for a number of occasions and it has been the same. We have enjoyed their Kebab platter, Raan Biriyani, Lemonades and what not. This was my go to place when I was in Kolkata.

Being a mutton lover I always prefer to visit Kareem's. The mutton raan biryani is highly recommended from my side. Food quality and taste are as always better . But service is not as per expectation and staff are not communicating that clearly indicates their unprofessionalism. From these sides the park street branch is better . Overall better for tasty non veg foods .

Went for lunch on a weekday. Parking - no restaurant parking, private parking outside. It can be tough during peak hours. Ambiance - Average, 2 floors, a bit cramped. Just one washroom. Food - Ordered tandoori chicken, grilled prawns, mutton karachi, butter naan, tandoori alo, paneer kadhai. All items were good and had nice flavors Dessert - limited dessert options, most of them were over by 2pm. Service - Good service, average ambiance. Very limited veg and dessert options. Overall really good food. A must try.
