The facility and hospitality of this Resort is awesome. Staff are super special in taking care of the guest. The resort owns two renowned boat to visit Sundorbon Tiger reserve. Provision of special approved tour guide can be arranged to visit Tiger Reserve. Owner of the resort is a nature study enthusiastic and wildlife photographer . Resort capable to organize wildlife photography trip to Sundarbon Tiger Reserve.

1. The rooms are fairly big and the bathroom attached was clean. There is no hot water facility but they will provide you with warm water for bathing. 2. The services are great. All the staffs were really polite. 3. The food that was served to us were tasty and homely. 4. Overall tour was very well managed. There is a jetty right in front of the resort. The boat was really clean and spacious with bathrooms available. Overall, the entire trip was satisfactory. I would recommend it.

Sundarban Mangrove Retreat is an excellent place to enjoy the Sundarbans. The rooms are decent, providing the necessary amenities. Food is simple and delicious. The knowledge and assistance provided for the sighting of birds and wildlife makes it even great. The cherry on the top is the kitchen garden which provides for organically grown vegetables that is served to the guests. Highly recommended

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Sunderbans. The resort has a picturesque outdoor with beautiful gardens and pond. Surrounded with trees and right next to the river. The rooms are big and spacious. The food and hospitality is superb. The guided tour is excellent and the folks here go out their way to make sure your experience surpasses your expectations.

I came with my family on 7th Feb 2020. I am overwhelmed with the service and with the tour guide. The food was too good, very homely . They all tried their best possible to show the wild creatures except Royal Bengal tiger we all able to see Sundarban habitats .

Hi , This is Aritra. This was the best 2 days trip I have ever had before .I am really surprised by the behaviour of specially Samir da, Arpan da ,Sourav Da and the other staffs as well. Food was extremely well cooked and tasted awesome . And the adventurous boat trip was excellently guided. Overall they serve their best . I would suggest to visit Sunderban Mangrove Retreat once if anyou one plans about Sunderban. ☺☺

Travelled with them to Assam, experience was good, service was really good.

Extremely poor and unprofessional behavior by tour guide. On our way back to Kolkata, guide diverted the bus to get dropped at his home. This meant that passengers getting dropped at science city would have to wait additional 2 hours going through the rush hour traffic of south Kolkata. This was not part of the itinerary and when pointed out the guide misbehaved. Spoilt our trip completely.

We traveled to Shimlipal with travelojoy, and really enjoyed their service, they arranged our stay at Orissa Tourism cottage very close to the national park, food was good. I went with my family and some friends , they arranged our entire package. Overall experience was good.

I traveled with my family to Puri with Travelojoy, the overall service was good, the hotels they provided was good though not exactly on the beach, however all the sightseeing and transfers were well managed. I would surely recommend others.

I with my family visited Rajasthan for 7 days, Travelojoy arranged ,y tickets and all arrangement at Rajasthan, They took care of our every requirements at that place, even my special diets. I am very satisfied with their service.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Sundarban Mangrove Retreat. The facility is very rustic, homely and well maintained. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The resort has their own ferry which they used to take us on the forest tour. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the real beauty of Sundarbans.

Excellent food,well kept room and toilet,nice ambience, helpful staffs and an excellent day out in comfortable steam launch through the picturesque rivers made our stay memorable.

The village is a picture out of a postcard and the food served is simple yet delicious. The best part is the day on the steamer sailing through the jungle, sipping your tea, eating your heart bengali lunch cooked on the boat, trying to spot tiger, deers, dolphins, crocodile and have hours melt away in the blink of an eye. We did not see any tigers this time, but after a point it did not even matter. My friends and my wife had a healing experience in the sundarbans and we all cannot wait to go back there again. I want to thank the whole team for such a wonderful experience and yes i am going to book this again on my next trip. For all those reading this review, go to sundarbans and choose this company, they know how to make your trip memorable and perfect. Guys, you are wonderful, keep up the great work and keep in touch. Very good and beautiful

Trip was nice and simple. Food was really 😋tasty . The lead man Samir saha was very cordial. BOAT rides were Awesome. Bhetki paturi was to die for. Rooms were clean and nice. We booked the entire building so the balcony adda ( being a larger group) gave us privacy and fun unlimited 😂🤣

One of the best resorts to book a stay in Sunderbans. We were given a very warm welcome. The ambience was very calming and comfortable. The view from the hotel there was magnificent and the weather couldn't be any better. The best part about all of this was that we spent our day on the launch. It was a very fulfilling and memorable trip and I am looking forward to another trip soon

One of the best resorts to book a stay while visiting Sunderban. It has a very warm and welcoming ambience. The food here is lip smacking and they serve authentic Bengali food. The best part about the trip was the entire day tour in the launch around the core area, unfortunately we were not able to spot a tiger but we did see beautiful birds and some crocodiles. The entire trip is handled by the operators and staff from carrying your luggage to food, so you don't have to worry about anything at all. The staff here are very warm and kind. It was an amazing experience and I am eagerly waiting for my next trip.

Our last trip to Sundarban was really a memorable trip itself. It was a long pending trip and I am ready to visit there again and again. Our trip made easy by Sunderban Mangrove Retreat . Their warm hospitality, the scrumptious foods(which was completely unbelievably superb), folks songs programs, the team (we got lucky), and special mention their core team made the trip really awesome. About Foods: The foods were almost unlimited, say whether it's chicken or prawns or vetki paturi. Yes we had vetki paturi and prawn malaikari on the boat itself. ***Special shoutout: The Core team of Sunderban Mangrove Retreat(they are professional wild life photographers) and the food I am sharing few of the pics from our trip. I hope you all will like it. This mangrove is being so beautiful which made the journey itself beautiful. It's not so far from Kolkata, so make a plan and visit there must.

I went there on a 3D 2N trip with three of my friends. Our package comprised travel to Sundarbans from Kolkata, accommodation for 3D 2N, Sundarbans Safari, 10 meals spread across 3 days and travel back to Kolkata. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. They were extremely hospitable and friendly. They carried all our luggage from the moment they picked us from Kolkata on day one to the moment they dropped us on day 3. Most of day one goes in travel. Rest of the day is spent eating delicious Bengali cuisine and listening to local tribal music. Next day is the most adventurous day of the trip. The entire day is spent on the steamer boat amidst the mangrove forest. The staff keeps us busy with food while we try to spot different wild animals in the jungle. On returning to the resort the evening is spent watching local tribal dance and drama. If interested you can also visit the nearby village huts and interact with the locals. Located at Jamespur, Sunderban Mangrove Retreat is well maintained and sanitized. The staff is very helpful and will keep you entertained throughout your stay. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend you to visit!

Its a beautiful experience. The trip was well organized- you will get a proper experience of boat safaris and foods are super delicious. The ambience, room, hospitality, staff behavior are truly amazing. With add-on we experienced local drama and folk band. Best place for nature lovers. Do visit without a second thought for a best weekend trip.

Rude behaviour

We booked the resort for 19 people. Though it was the peak time but the owner Samir da himself ensured that we do not face any issues. They serve Authentic bengali food. The rooms are very spacious. For hot water there is no geyser but they provide buckets of water from 7 to 8. The tour was well arranged. Since we were a big group we were provided home pick up drop. We were not lucky enough to spot a tiger, but we saw crocodiles, wild boars, deer and various pretty birds. Overall It is a good weekend destination

When you travel post Lockdown, you are always a little skeptical and so were we , when we in a group of 6 decided to go to Sundarbans, as our first official wildlife tour , post Lockdown this year. It so happened that we got contact of Samir Da [ Mr. Samir Saha, owner of the Sundarbans mangrove Retreat ]. He made us very clear on our Itinerary , as we wanted to do a complete wildlife photography tour at the Sundarbans, with a proper stay and all facilities in place. Once we reached Godkhali, the person in charge " Lalu da " was right there to welcome us and take us in Boat to Jamespur, where the resort is located. Lunch was served right there on the Boat and I must say the food was very good, and our Chef on Boat - Nantu Da had done absolute justice with the quality and taste of all the dishes served throughout the stay. The Rooms were neat and clean , so were the washrooms. Overall service was really good , and the professionalism was right in place in terms of time adherence during the Boat safari, serving lunch , snacks and tea in between during the long hours on the Boat as well. If you are planning for a hassle free trip to Sundarbans, then head to " Sundarban Mangrove Retreat " , and contact Mr Samir Saha. You will be overwhelmed with their hospitality....
