A
Disappointing
Experience
at
UMRI
Hospital.
I
recently
had
an
unfortunate
experience
with
UMRI
Hospital,
and
I
feel
compelled
to
share
my
thoughts.
My
mother
was
admitted
to
this
hospital,
and
from
the
very
beginning,
the
management
and
front
desk
staff
displayed
a
level
of
casualness
that
left
us
deeply
concerned.
The
first
sign
of
trouble
emerged
in
the
pathology
department.
Patients
were
left
waiting
in
the
CT
scan
room,
and
it
was
evident
that
there
was
a
severe
lack
of
coordination
and
communication
within
the
hospital.
Instead
of
promptly
attending
to
patients,
the
staff
seemed
to
prioritize
calling
in
the
personnel
who
could
operate
the
equipment.
This
resulted
in
frustrating
delays
and
left
patients
and
their
families
anxious.
Dr.
Abhijit
Bhattacharya,
the
attending
physician
for
my
mother,
unfortunately
exhibited
a
similar
level
of
casualness.
We
often
found
ourselves
having
to
chase
after
him
to
get
updates
on
my
mother's
condition.
His
lack
of
proactivity
and
apparent
disinterest
in
his
patients'
well-being
only
added
to
our
concerns
during
this
already
stressful
time.
Furthermore,
we
had
scheduled
an
appointment
with
a
doctor
named
Ashish
Chakraborty,
and
we
arrived
at
the
hospital
on
time,
as
one
would
expect.
However,
to
our
shock
and
dismay,
we
were
informed
that
he
had
already
left
the
hospital.
This
level
of
unprofessionalism
is
simply
unacceptable,
as
it
wastes
the
valuable
time
of
both
patients
and
their
families.
UMRI
Hospital's
lackadaisical
approach
to
patient
care,
from
the
casual
management
and
front
desk
staff
to
the
apathetic
attitude
of
certain
doctors,
left
a
lot
to
be
desired.
When
it
comes
to
healthcare,
the
highest
standards
of
professionalism,
empathy,
and
efficiency
are
expected.
Unfortunately,
this
hospital
fell
short
of
meeting
those
expectations.
I
sincerely
hope
that
UMRI
Hospital
can
address
these
issues
promptly
and
improve
its
services,
as
the
well-being
and
peace
of
mind
of
its
patients
should
always
be
a
top
priority.
