Even though this is not the original Hanumanthu Hotel which is famous in Mysore, the food is good. We had gone for a day trip from Bangalore and we were googling to find a nice hotel to eat lunch and this came up so we drove from Mysore Zoo to this place. Super tiny mess with seating capacity of 20 ppl at a time. It is always crowded so you may need to wait an average of 30 mins to get a table but the wait is worth it as the food is incredibly tasty and yummy. Prices are 1000₹ for 4 ppl. Must try items are - Mutton pulav, Boti curry, Chicken fry and Chicken pulav. We wanted to try Mutton paaya but unfortunately it wasn't available.

Hanumanthu pilaf is a spicy one pot meat and rice dish! It's more or like a Tamil or kannadiga kiska type dish! It's very flavorful and tempting delicacy! Mutton liver and minced mutton meat also good! It's a small place with 24 seats. Clean and neat place i recommend this is for spicy food lovers and visiting Mysore people! Go for it!!

I came across this place when I googled for some nice places to eat in Mysore. It didn't fail me. The mutton pulao here is too good. Very unique taste. Highly recommended. The place is too small and had a seating capacity for 30 or so. I went on odd hours and didn't find it crowded.

Quality of Palav Rice is poor and also response for customers is also poor. 1) They serve Low quality of onions 2) Poor quality of Raitha 3) Especially DO NOT PROVIDE "TISSUE PAPERS"..! If you ask Tissue paper, the person who is present at the cash table will look your face and thinks to give the single tissue paper..! The charge of Mutton Palav is Rs. 260.00, but overall rating for this hotel is 5 out of 10. People who are planning to come this hotel, better to bring bunch of TISSUE PAPER. You can expect old news paper in the place of TISSUE PAPER..!

Have been visiting this place from 10yrs. Same taste and quality. Very humble staff and owner. Awesome taste but bit less quantity when compared to original hanumanthu and way more better in taste than original hanumanthu. Very limited menu is the only disappointment.

Service Pathetic Not worth, Qty is very less comparing to price. Had Full mutton Pulav, Its Rs260, It's ghee colored rice with 4 small piece mutton Full of bones. Leg soup not worth, Less flesh and soup. Thale mamsa given in small cup, Taste is not wow, U will get this taste from any non veg hotel with good qty. Don't get excited to visit. Hotel is minting money with just name..

I visited mysore first time and heard about famous hanmantu biryani. To be honest it was worst. There are many hotel bu name hanmantu biryani and I am not sure which one I visited. A very very small hotel and I expected lower price for biryani (rs100) it turned out to be standard hotel biryani rate( rs 200 per plate) and rice was not basmati..

Small place serving very tasty food Tried the mutton palav and kaima balls Food is not heavy despite being non- vegetarian it was light on the stomach not much of masala. Service and ambience is bare bones and not much. But go there for the tasty food and you shall not be disappointed

Been a regular customer for the last couple of years but sadly the taste has changed significantly. Not the Pulav I used to love anymore. Looks like their chef has moved out.

Its a over hyped place for mutton palav in mysore. People who like naati style, will definitely like it. I personally like the taste and the quantity is also fare enough

If you are foodie and lover of Karnataka ethnic non veg food (naati style ) Hanumanthu Mysuru is your destination. This is my second visit to this hotel. First visit I had lunch and this time I decided to have breakfast. I reached the hotel at 9:30 AM for breakfast. But the surprise is there is no difference between breakfast and lunch. Same dishes they server from morning till night. They start at 9:30 AM in the morning and continues till they close (I don't know the closing time, may be 8 or 9 night). Had a sumptuous steaming mutton biriyani, one bowl of leg soup ( 2 pieces) and mutton fry. Small hotel but heavily crowded. You have to grab your seat when someone finishes their round. Don't wait outside expecting somebody will arrange the table and call you inside like big hotels in Bangalore. As the people finish their food and come outside, you have to go inside and take the place. Very simple.

I ordered mutton pulav and chicken fry. It was good. Hygiene was good. Value for money is okay. Somehow I feel the place is over rated.

Simply wow, the mutton pulao was excellent. The hotel is very small but you will forget everything after eating the food. Highly recommended for food lovers 😋 it is located in a narrow road so take care your parking first.

The legacy, and epic background of this place gives us chills and the place serves pulav from generations People may say its overrated but this place is still favourite for their regular customers And they visit frequently here When you visit dont forget to try their Pulav (chicken and mutton) Kaima balls (the best) Chicken chops Liver fry Kaal Soup You ll love it What i personally love here is the traditional way of cooking the pulav They prepare it by wood fire cooking which gives the pulav a natural dum process and make sure the pulav is cooked in all sides After cooking the dum will ge passed from above by spreading the charcoals from above and That how they give give the best dum to cook the pulav completely Thats all from me, visit the place and enjoy and until then happy fooding you guys 🙌

Visited three times. Did not fell the essence of biryani flavour and not as expected from the reviews. It’s pulav biryani and the taste is ordinary

It's over hyped..... not at all worth the hype that I have seen for it.... there are far better outlets then this..... the food is filled with baking soda which starts to bloat you up from the first bite....

Average food. But the meat was cooked extremely well. Amazing quality and execution on the meat. But the rice wasnt much to my liking.

Saw the review, drove down and experience was terrible 1. Location: in a narrow chandni chicken sort of area so if u have a car God bless 2. Curries are the same , just chunks of meat or liver (cut in such huge sizes u puke), put in. It's oozing oil and your intestine will burn for weeks 3.biryani was so spicy . I think green chilli paste and meat pieces were just bone. It's like the 40 inr biryani u buy from a road stall not what u expect. Iam only sharing this detailed review because like me u should not.put in time and effort and then regret. Food blogging is great but it must also come with some taste of what good food means. Rest I Ieave to your judgement.

The mutton pulav is a great dish here. It's of ₹250 and the quality plus the quantity is great, taste is too good and it's quantity is sufficient for one person.

This restaurant shows as one of the best for Mutton Pulao. I went and it’s not as good as expected. The best part was eating on a set of stitched dried leaves. The place was clean and service good. I am not sure if I would go again though.

👍👍 Both veg and non veg food served are good. We ordered something new called Coin Paratha and it was worth trying. Paneer butter masala was classic. Do try the burger from Easy Bites(their snack section), so soft and absolutely delicious!
