Food quality good. Service of their employees is partially.. serves according to your looks and standard.. if you are looking good with good outfit they will serve you and the other table who is Not looking high standard by looks they won't even come to you after you call also.. At one time 4 servants were serving to those 3 girls who were sitting opposite to us.. At one time you will feel to leave the plate in the middle that's how they will wait you. The biggest fraud is that person who sits on the cash counter. We didn't had enough cash so asked for online transaction. He says we don't accept cards and online payment and started telling about the taxes and all.. we paid the bill however went to the ATM AND PAID. after we came at the door only for another guy he took the scanner and gave him.. If you want good food with good service go with a group or family or a girl.. don't expect you will get the quality service if you go alone.

A very hyped basic thali restaurant. Amazing hot rotis but the rest of the thali was extremely basic for ₹250 for a Sunday. We reached early around 11:30 thinking we will have a stomach full with great variety n taste. However for a Gujrati thali it was a NO NO! Thali had - aalo matar- aalo was partially cooked, 1/5 paneer beans sabji 2/5, dal -2/5 some rajma gravy with curd, 1/5 sev tomato sabji came later but partly cooked n taste was so so, tomatoes half cooked. 0/5 Apart from this they served dry besan mirchi dry sabji, dry peanut chutney, curd n tasteless green chutney. NO Chaas/ buttermilk, it was charged separately. Sweets were - gulam jamun n Shrikand - 2/5. Dhokla came later with no chutney They FORGOT to serve us papad n dahi wada which I overheard the owner talking on the phone. Rice - pulav which was cold, n plain rice NO khichadi kadi for a Gujrati thali is a surprise. A usual Gujrati thali must have buttermilk, khadi khichadi n papad, bhajiyas. Overall only rotis were nice rest was 2/5 to fill your stomach. Very basic taste no gujrati taste at all. Kindly check before you decide to eat there! P.s - We click good photos so the thali looks ok in the picture

Food taste so nice but the service is very poor Yesterday v visited with family for dinnar. Owner behavior is not informative, he didn't explained us for meals patterns and food items repetation. While you r charging for everything unlimited, how can the sweets and farsan served only once? Asked same to owner but he refusdd to answer. Else food quality and taste good. One can find other cheaper and good option nearby.

I visited the Restaurant. Restaurant is well maintained and clean, vibe is also good even food also the best but the thing is that staffs are very bad they come to serve the food and go back and make fun off the customers, about there slang and they used to laugh loudly .. They thought that no body there can't understand hindi becuz it's in Mysore so they use to make fun of the customers in hindi.. Very bad behavior.. This silly behavior of the staff make down the reputation of hotel.. Totally unsatisfied . I kindly request with the owner of the restaurant please look at your staffs once worst staff in entire Mysore. Because your worst staff I'm giving 1star . Even they don't deserve 1 star also. We are paying money for what we order we didn't came for any dharma shala for free meals they might be thought that customers came here to have free food worst in the worst

Be aware of this fraud. We went for lunch, thali was rs 300/- per person. the owner said that lunch was unlimited including unlimited aam ras. Also he assured that kids will be charged less and he will look into the final bill. But when asked the waiter to serve, he said that aam ras is given only once, owner does not know anything. Also he charged full amount of rs 300/- for both my kids each. We ended up paying rs 600/- just for 1 bowl of aam ras and 2 roti for kids. Be careful before going.... Food quality was also average.... Salad and dhokala were served after rice at the end.... Very bad experience... In addition to this when we argued, the owner clearly said that it's ok if we don't visit again as he already has lot of customers.... Surely NOT visiting again.... Paid rs 1200/- + GST to get insulted....

Overpriced food with worst service. The owner is super rude. The servers would not serve the food properly. We kept asking for the glasses but the server never came to our table. They have mentioned that they serve so many different type of food but there was only one type of thali available which was gujrati marwadi thali. At the end we kept asking for rice. We waited for more than 15 minutes before We lost our patience and got up. They demand cash as the mode of payment don't have payment by card or UPI options. Lastly, we were waiting for our cab to arrive and were still sitting inside the restaurant, the owner started shouting at us rudely to get out. Worst experience, would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for the price they charge.

Never go to this restaurant. Last week we went there to have our lunch, by seeing the display that they provide variety of meals. Food quality is poor. They are just looting to outsiders. Per thali they charged Rs 250 + tax, which could be max Rs100. If you know kannada, tamil, they charge 200 and for localite its more less. Who are parking their bike or cab, account person is asking more, though they do not have any parking area, simply parked on road side. We asked menu card, they didnt provide and told me all kind of thali are same. No diff. Then I asked ,howmuch about NorthIndian thali. Person sitting in counter told me in hindi, pahle baithiye sir, khana khaiye, uske baae paisa.

This restaurant doesn't deserve any star. They didn't even give us the menu. They force you to eat gujrati thali in the name of North Indian thali. Taste of food can varry from person to person but for me it was pathetic. Overall worst experience.

There are a plethora of options for lunch if you find yourself around Mysore Bus-stand. Here is why Purohit Resturant stands out. They have the option of both Thali's and À la carte. I tried the Gujrati thali and it was amongst on of the best lunches I've had in Mysore. You get unlimited ghee lathered roti's. The plate in my review picture is missing dhokla and papad. Later, you get unlimited rice and a small portion of pulao. All in all, it's a great place with tasty and quality rich food. I feel this place is underrated due to the sea of restaurants around. Give this one a try! Side note: It has clean washrooms as well :p

This review is for the food here. It is the place in Mysore where you can have Gujarati/ Rajasthani foods with authentic taste. Gujarati Thali meal is available for lunch and dinner which is tasty served with 2 Sabji, Roti, Rotlo, Dal Rice, Sweet, Farsan, Papad, Salad. Morning breakfast is also available like tea Thepla and Aloo Paratha. Overall recommended place for north Indian food.

The food was delicious and overall it was good. But during this weekend they were offering only thali for lunch, no other option was available. A bit costly considering 250/- and no menu selection option. Butter chapaati, besan chila, 4 curries, 1 daal, curd, 2 sweets, 1 chutney, dhokala, Hira rice, plain rice, salad, pickle, 2 chutneys were included. most of the curries have a bit of sweetness.

Gujrati Marwadi Thali served on Saturday lunch is good with many varieties and worth ₹250/-. The worst part was the owner was insisting on cash payment and not ready for payment via card, not even UPI with lame excuses. This is obviously not a good practice and you should make it clear to the customers before serving food.

Not recommending to Gujartis visiting Mysore. The full thali price is 300 which is too much provided the ok food quality, and limited sweet options. If you still try and be disappointed, please make the comment useful.

I never gave negative reviews before. But , I need to comment on this. We traveled from far distance to this restaurant because they mentioned that they serve Jain food. ( no garlic and onions).. We ordered thali which was Rs300 each. We reconfirm with everyone serving that this was a Jain item.. They finally served Jira rice which had garlic in it.. A purohit restaurant should know that garlic is to be avoided when you say you serve Jain..

Purohit Restaurant is very famous in Mysore. It's near Palace (nearly 1.3 KM). If you like North Indian Food in 250 Rs plus 5 % Service Tax you will have unlimited Food . It's 30 plus years Old Restaurant. #Not Accepting Online/ GPAY Only Cash . I went with Four Ppl and ordered 3 Thali. Mix Veg is Good . four wheeler parking may be a problem. Near by Theatre Hall.

Not for South Indians. For a pure veg non-paneer thali, they charge 250+ which is not worth. The service is pathetic because mostly no one knows Kannada nor communicate well with the customers as it is an unlimited meal.

A decent Gujrati restaurant, which serves only thali I suppose. Food taste was average, I wouldn't say great or the best. But a good option if you are hungry and wouldn't mind to try different Gujrat dishes.

I was excited at the idea of gujrati food in Mysore. Don't expect anything fancy. This was a basic restaurant below the rooms. They had a a la carte menu but we went for a thali. The food was in itself very simple and good, especially the dal and kadhi. They also had two desserts and dahi vada. They had thin phulkas with ghee and bhakri. The service was friendly but not very neat. At times they thulped the food onto the plate.... trickling dal and veggies on the table and the plate. Sometimes a bearer just stood staring. This was all a bit irritating but i overlooked it for the sake of the experience and food.

A great Jain/Gujarati Veg thalli...Felt one of the unique thalli I ever had..was just wow...for the service as well as the food...the only disappointment was they don't have a parking space for 4 wheelers, but still the owner managed to arrange a parking space for our car in front of their restaurant by removing few of the parked bikes and scooters..I loved their hospitality! Thalli cost is ₹225

Average Gujarati Thali for 250/- bucks. We frequently visit Mysore with family and we were always told about this place so during one of our visits we decided to have Lunch at Purohit restaurant. Unfortunately this place didn’t live up to its name for us. First of all Gujarati thali wasn’t a complete “Gujarati thali”, they didn’t have Chaach, Kadhi etc on the Thali. And nothing tasted very tasty for us to ever go back to this place. Very average in taste, Hygiene also didn’t seem up to the mark. They forgot serving us Papad, Dahi-Vada & Dhokla initially. Which I by chance saw on the other customer’s plate & asked them if it’s included in the Thali. Nothing that great about this place. Very average

I visited Purohith Mysuru on May22, 2022. This was my first visit. I visited here based on Google reviews. I read a review which was posted 2 months prior to my visit. In that the price of thali was 250. However when I visited I was charged 300! 1) The small size phulkas or chapathi served were the only item that was warm. All other items were cold; probably because I visited late close to 4pm. 2) The side dishes served in small cups were - aloo subzi, chana dal sabzi, dal and a mixed veg curry type. All of these were cold. 3) Rice was served after rotis. Rice was cold and lumpy. 4) Gulab jamun and a Mango based sweet (aam-ras) were good. A piece of dhokla was good but cold. 5) The hotel is not very spacious and a person sitting in my adjacent table sneezed and coughed almost onto my back! Really people have learned nothing after 2 years of covid 😠 6) Taste is average, a hike of ₹50 in 2 months from 250 to 300. 7) There is a Pan shop run by a native of UP outside this hotel. He is a very nice gentleman and speaks fluent Kannada. I bought a Pan from him and walked on trying to forget my disappointment.

Had been for dinner, just thali was available. Price is high @ 250Rs. Shrikhand and dhokla was good. Chapati and bajra roti were ok.

A great place to have unlimited pure Gujarati thali at MysoreI, where I went for dinner. All the items were tasty and made to perfection. I loved the Dhokla and Shrikhand. The servers were very enthusiastic and were surprised when I was full and did not have rice. The Bajra rotla and the phulkas were simply outstanding. The owner from Surat is friendly and told me about the origin of his restaurant 28 years ago. The Paan stall next to the Restaurant should not be missed after a heavy meal. For Rs 225 per person its a value for money meal. Parking space is limited since its located in a busy market area.

A simple thali served with all the flair that goes with it. Curry vegetables, lentil dal, curd, pickle, salad and for some reason 4 sweets! I was let down by the rote of this thali rather than the quality/quantity of the food itself. Having a thali here is same as having it in any other slightly premium places that serve them. Based on my experience, places serving thali now have become a fast turnover affair where they lay out food at the speed of lightning and the bill comes at your table the moment you refuse seconds. A run of the mill experience for me something which I cannot repeat, I am afraid. Parted with Rs 250 and left with no memory of the food.

This one charged us 250rs for marwadi+gujrati thalli. This the only item available. It's unlimited and the rotis are really soft n smeared in ghee. The thalli we consumed this day had, 2 types rotis,2 type rice,1 Dey subji 3 gravies, dal, dhokla, dahivada 2 varieties sweets and papad ,pickle ,peanut in garlic chutney powder n coconut chutney. Visited this place on reco from Google reviews, while I donot have a negative experience, remember there is not much choice in terms of food and, finding parking will be difficult. :) Happy eating.

White rice was added with a pinch of turmaric and tampering..they call it lemon rice.. we ordered ghee chapati and aloo parota.. they were like papad... No pickle or curd was provided. Very poor quality and taste. I would suggest people not to go with restaurant name and order

Awesome hot to stay at low costs, also no need to worry about food also they themselves have a famous restaurant specially thali is available in according to your choice so need to worry about choosing of food and the taste is also awesome. If your choice is simple no need to worry and roam here and there. Just go and order the thali which you want like gujrathi,Punjabi, rajhastani thali and all.

Don't come here if you visit this place often. They are used to taking rates from you and forget to serve you. I'm coming to this place every month, these people are addicted to taking money from you and every month I experience that i have to bargain for service and money. They give Gujarati food as unlimited thali with potato sabji The next morning this potato subji will also be served with thepla. One thali cost is also high in comparison to the food they serve. No parking facility is available here even though I try to adjust with their limitations as i feel that they are like my friends, but they take advantage of your friendship for their profits. Rooms are in good condition, no doubt of cleanliness. I'm very disappointed with their service that i visit every month here and i have to face all things.

Pure vegetarian restaurant. I ordered Gujarati Thaali. It includes salad, 3 types of curry, daal, roti, pulao, rice, dhokla, papad, dahi, dahivada, shrikhand, gulab jamun. It was good taste wise but expensive. Ambience is good. But staff are not following any safety measures.

Food is average but expect delayed service. The one who were getting delivery faster were the Thali special orders.

Authentic Rajasthan food is served here. A highly recommended place in Mysore to explore Marwadi cuisine.

The food is really good. The hotel has a humble old ambience, yet the food is great, service is good and the variety is plenty too. Thali is the best. If u are looking for north Indian Gujarati Thali then this is the place for good food with normal canteen ambience.

👍👍 Both veg and non veg food served are good. We ordered something new called Coin Paratha and it was worth trying. Paneer butter masala was classic. Do try the burger from Easy Bites(their snack section), so soft and absolutely delicious!

😠 Worst place to have any kind of food. The queue to enter this place can take more than 20 minutes and the food is below average. One single mutton biryani, with 2 small pieces of mutton costs 290 rupees. Pappad is extra and costs 10 rupees for one. Customer service is the worst. They don't have an o...

👍 Couldn’t miss this place out of curiosity seeing the great reviews and of course the hotel name having ‘Original’ in bold! Came here for dinner on a weekend - the menu is limited and the place is tiny - so be ready to wait for your turn. The dosa here is very soft - the taste is quite different but...
