One of the softest idlis i have ever had. It's a pity you can't access this if you're taking the expressway, but certainly worth the deviation ;) the idli, sagu, pudi idli, chutneys, ambodE are all excellent! They have opened a couple of outlets in Bengaluru, but this original one in Bidadi is simply fantastic!

This is one of my favourite place when on Bangalore - Mysuru highway. This is very famous place for Tattle Idly which is super soft with a nice butter on top with red chutney. Apart from this you get Vada, Masala vada and rice bath like puliyogare and leamon rice. Limited menu but very tasty

I was recommended to eat Thatte idly here but my experience was not good. Maybe I was unlucky or may be he was not able to cater to the the huge Sunday morning crowd. But the fact is the idlies were not fully cooked, they just did not have the time to run the full course of steaming it till the end. The chatni was not good either. Lastly I asked for medu wada but they didn’t have it and thrust the urd wada on my plate without bothering to check if I was okay with it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I’ll give it a second try though when on Mysore highway next time. Till then adieu!

If you are on your to Mysore, then stopping here for their bisi bisi thatte idli with benne is a ritual. The taste although is not as amazing as it used to be and they charge extra for butter but still the hot soft idlis are worth the detour.

In the morning it's too crowded. At 25rs tatte idly is good but the butter ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ is not the original one it's something else... one star less for that. Easy to reach Enough parking Wash room is not upto the mark, it's just for name sake. Should you visit If you have better choice then better to avoid

Hey! Best place to eat idli is bidadi. The food is too good. Totally worth of making a stop to eat and go. The taste is toooo good. The price is also very affordable.

Idly , butter and chutney , masala vade, wonderful combo to have. Idly with butter was super soft and fluffy. Too good a place for breakfast.

An explorer hopes to visit the best restaurants and street joints and trust me this was the Best Thatte idli joint. When heading to Ooty via Mysore this should be your very first and only idli eatery while travelling. It's filling, delicious, coffee is a saviour during winters.

The softest idlis ever!! Red chutney is a bit spicy and greatly complements the idli with butter. The idlis seemed to have a lot of baking soda though. Also tried the pudi idli. Tasted great but, the pudi should have been grinded a little more.

If you want to try soft soft thatte idli, then do do visit 70+yrs old Sri Shiva Darshana Shashi Thatte Idli shop at Bidadi, at B’lore- Mysore highway. This pocket friendly place offers Thatte idli, masala vada, medu vada, poori, rice bath and tea/coffee. When you reach Bidadi you will see atleast 15-20 small shops but you will easily spot this particular shop by its crowd. I enjoyed a short bike trip to this place and would love to visit again.

This thatte idly hotel is one of the oldest in Bidadi & as per their name board it's operating since 1950. Though the footfalls of travellers passing thro Bidadi has reduced due to the expressway, this hotel still gathers sizable Customers compared to other nearby hotels. It took some time for us to find a seat on Sunday morning as the hotel was fully packed with Customers. Nevertheless the availability of Thatte Idly is never a hindrance, one can get a steaming fresh Idly straight from the steamer. Idly is extremely soft & fluffy. Orange Chutney is spicy but best match for the Idly. Butter is available at extra cost. Menu is very limited to Idly, Rice Bath, Pulav, Vada, Poori, Coffee/Tea. Rice bath & Pulav were a bit spicy but very tasty. Ended with a good Tea. Prices are competitive with decent portion. Good parking space available in the hotel premises as well on the road. Cleanliness & hygiene can be improved.

Best place as said to have great bene( butter ) thatte idly. We also had chitranna lemon rice it tasted good as well Chutney was really good and also the vada tasted yummy But sambar was ok ok not that great Atmosphere was good open to have breakfast

Good place to pit stop and have your breakfast on route to Mysore. Thatte idli is fluffy and soft.
