This
is
a
solid,
locally-owned
Vietnamese
spot
in
Nyack--
one
of
the
few
authentic
Vietnamese
places
in
Rockland.
I've
been
twice
so
far
and
was
satisfied
both
times.
In
total,
I've
ordered
the
following
items:
Appetizers:
-
Spicy
Papaya
Salad
with
Crispy
Anchovies:
The
papaya
is
always
fresh
and
the
crispy
anchovies
added
wonderful
texture
/
crunch
and
flavor
to
the
dish.
It
wasn't
really
spicy
though.
-
Fried
Calamari:
Piping
hot
with
crispy
batter,
this
appetizer
was
super
tasty.
It's
the
perfect
combo
of
chewy
and
crispy
with
an
excellent
flavor
profile:
a
little
sweet
and
also
savory.
Noodles:
-
Seafood
Hu
Tieu
(chicken
noodle
soup)
with
Rice
Noodles:
I
loved
this
dish
on
a
cold
day:
It
featured
super
rich
and
soul-warming
broth,
perfectly
cooked
noodles.
The
seafood
was
a
little
bland
in
flavor,
but
with
some
added
hoisin
sauce
and
sriracha,
it
tasted
excellent--
flavorful
and
fragrant
tastes
all
around.
Desserts:
-
Mango
Sticky
Rice
and
Grilled
Banana:
Both
desserts
were
delicious
and
authentic,
with
fresh
fruit
and
a
good
ratio
of
coconut
cream.
Special
Rolls:
-
Shrimp
and
Avocado
Roll:
These
rolls
were
well-wrapped
and
tasted
light
and
fresh.
-
Lemongrass
Beef
Roll:
An
interesting
combination
of
ingredients,
these
rolls
were
also
flavorful,
fresh,
and
well-wrapped.
Its
a
bit
pricey
relative
to
a
lot
of
other
authentic
Vietnamese
places
I've
been
to,
but
the
friendly,
attentive
service
and
good
food
make
it
worth
it--
definitely
best
Vietnamese
spot
in
Rockland!
The
location
is
also
good:
the
exterior
looks
like
a
house
and
the
interior
is
pretty
spacious
with
ample
seating.
It's
not
in
downtown
Nyack,
but
pretty
close
by,
and
is
easily
accessible
via
car
with
a
free
parking
lot.
