my actual psychiatrist isn’t the worst but definitely not a good one. every time i tell her anything she prescribes me a new medication and at the next appointment she has forgotten that she’s even prescribed it. the real problem i have lies in the reception. i called last month in the midst of one of the worst suicidal episodes of my life and i told them my message was urgent. my psychiatrist was booked up for the next month so i asked (at the recommendation of my therapist, who does not work for conventions) to see any available psychiatrist. they told me that they prefer patients to continue care with only one psychiatrist. fine, but please give her a message that this is urgent, and let me know asap if any appointments open up. they assured me they would and guess what? didn’t hear a thing until my appointment a month later and my psychiatrist never got my message. recently my psychiatrist prescribed me lamictal and failed to inform me of the sometimes fatal rash that some people develop from it. anyways, i developed the rash and called conventions to inform them and ask what to do. that was 3 days ago and they have still not gotten back to me. will not be returning.

I scheduled an appointment a week ago. Got a call one day before that they cancelled my appointment because I made a complaint against their customer service a year ago. Instead of improving their customer service, they don’t want to see any patients who provide them opportunity to improve. They need “yes man”. And funny thing is that I have never been there to start with. Go there but don’t complaint!!!

Coming to Conventions has changed my life. Full disclosure, I do exclusively telehealth meetings so I cannot speak on the quality of the facility itself, and I've only been working with one psychiatrist so I cannot speak for the other staff. However, Yunah Lee has been a miracle worker, providing me the perfect medications and improving my quality of life greatly. She's very receptive and charismatic, and just by one conversation you can tell she has your best interest in mind. It is a delight to work with her!

The doctor pretends like I have a mental disability and will not listen when I tell him I want to stop medicine. They were told before of an error at the hospital I went to and failed to update my medical record.

I have all positive things to say about my psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for 15 years and to this day I am still under his care. He takes the time to listen too you're problems than if needed comes up withe right medication for your diagnosis. I have good things to say about the staff they are very helpful at answering questions.

This is a wonderful practice. If there are any NEGATIVE reviews, they are from seekers. Ones who post a bad review because their benzodiazapine wasn't prescribed recklessly by a Convention's provider. Dr Gaonkar is a brilliant doctor, and astute diagnostician. I have suffered with MDD for decades. Depression robbed me of huge chunks of my life. I have been under psychiatric care for decades. Dr. Gaonkar put together a cocktail that works for me. Four years ago. I am very grateful. Life is difficult. But a stable mood is priceless.

I can't say very good things about this place. I initially called for an evaluation and I was told by the receptionist that I had to schedule an appointment with the psychiatrist for an initial consultation first. I went ahead and scheduled as such, and then scheduled the evaluation on a different day. I had a zoom meeting with the psychiatrist and the connection was very poor which made it hard to hear her. She was very rude, like it was a hassle to go over my history and ask questions. She asked if I had an evaluation done. I told that I did not have it completed as I was told by the front desk that I had to meet with her first. She snottily said, "I really wish you had the evaluation done." It's not my fault that the communication in your office is apparently not that good; I was not given the option to schedule the evaluation first. She further prescribed me Bupropion and asked if I suffered from insomnia at all. I told her that yes, I do suffer from bouts of insomnia. She made no further comments and I asked her if I should take this medication at any particular time of the day. She nonchalantly responded that I could take this medication any time. For the next two nights I suffered from horrible insomnia and did not get any sleep. For those who are unaware, Buproprion should be taken in the morning if you are prone to insomnia; I had been taking them in the evening along with my antidepressants. I cannot fathom how this doctor failed to mention that even after I told her that I did suffer from insomnia. As far as the evaluator went, he was fine, he just was not very personable and a little strange. I ended up never following up because I didn't really get a good feel from the place. The psychiatrists didn't seem particularly invested or interested in their patients and that never feels good. I have since found a fantastic psychiatrist who actually cares.

Dr. Mahmood and my therapist Dr. Anne Dickinson have navigated my emotional health through some pretty troubling times for the past 8 years. I trust them both for taking the time to listen to my concerns. The office staff is so friendly when I have been in a crisis and have been able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment. I would highly recommend them both if you have any emotional health needs.

I've actually never had an issue with these folks. Yunah Lee is very compassionate and listens to my concerns. I would recommend her to anyone. The staff has helped me multiple times with refills when I'm running out of meds and forgot to schedule a new appointment and they have always gotten back to me the same day when I leave a message.

When calling the office, I found out that they are not actually in network even though BCBS shows them as covered for the CHP. I can't really fault Conventions because I have been having this problem with nearly every place I call. Miguel actually took the time to email me over a list of places we can try that may accept the insurance so I felt the need to leave a positive review. Other places I have called actually just said, "we dont accept it" and hung up. Could you imaging if I was calling for someone who was in crisis mode and really needed to get in right away? Thanks Conventions for actually caring and trying to assist even though you didn't have to!

My experience with this office is that they tend to suit your needs. They are friendly on the phone, and you can get into your doctors office pretty quickly. I found that my doctor was willing to help put me on medications that would suit my needs, and was patient with me while I cycled through various medications. I would recommend this office to someone who might be exhausted from their previous doctor. They also accept most insurances, so you might not have a big copay when you’re done.

Dr. Mahmoud is so neutrally fantastic. She is a stigma buster, she speaks the truth with no judgement. I appreciate her knowledge and candor as much as her flexibility. I can only speak for tele-health, but I've never had an issue with reception or billing which is saying a lot.
