Recently I had my baby shower at Cafe Roma and I couldn't of asked for a better place to have it at. The food was AMAZING. Its hard to find good Italian food around here. The restaurant was able to accommodate all of my guests. The staff was very friendly and anything that I needed they were able to help out. Definitely going back there!

First time ordering from here and I will definitely be coming back to try more of the dishes. Ordered the bow tie chicken cream pasta. It is a very large portion and I will be having leftovers tomorrow. So delicious! Also, the goat cheese bruschetta is amazing! Can't wait to go back! Only thing I regret was asking if they had desserts. They didn't have it on the online menu. Definitely will check next time.

Hidden gem! We tried Cafe Roma for dinner tonight to sample catering we will be ordering for a special event we are holding. The food was wonderful, very tasty and fresh! Service was great and the Espresso Martini…yumm! They earned our business! This is a must try hidden gem restaurant!

Had a company event catered today. Food was awesome! Thank you to all who worked so hard to make this event so special. The 3 different pasta sauces were great, and the hot sausages with peppers was def my favorite.

Attended a baby shower here and I was so impressed! I helped the host set up and the Cafe Roma staff were so accommodating and flexible with letting us put the decor anywhere we wanted! The waitresses were extremely responsive and tending to the guests the whole event. The owner even came to help and greet guests too! Not only was the service top notch, but the food was delicious as well. I always love buffet style because you can get a little bit of everything. With that said, I definitely will be making it a point to return here so I can have their chicken piccata again!!

Was at my daughters shower here. What a great time the food was awesome the staff was super friendly. I’m definitely gonna revisit for dinners.

Went for a Team holiday lunch. Everyone got something different and wanted to try everyone else's lunch. We all agreed we waited far too long to try this place and will be back. Food was delicious, portions were generous, service was top notch, and a line was out the door when we left. Reservations recommended. Hours are limited and Cafe Roma is tucked away in an office building, but worth hunting it down. Only complaint was there didn't seem to be any heat, or it was set very low. No one in our large party found the temperature comfortable and it was, indeed, a bit distracting to the enjoyment of our meal, but come summer I will happily stop in again (desserts to go and also delicious).

Great little Italian restaurant, family owned, delicious food. We had Chicken Marsala and Veal Parmasean. Both meals came with salads and pasta/potatoes. The Tiramisu and Cannoli melt in your mouth. Yum!

Stumbled upon this place, and man, are we glad we did. Customer service is great, food is AMAZING!!!!! Definitely will be back next time we're in town. Check it out!!

Catered from here for a birthday party and everything was delicious. We got the Alfredo and vodka sauce with sausage. All the guests were asking where we got it and many were going back for seconds. Would definitely order again!

Pizzas and the Tiramisu are one of the best I've ever had , maybe a bit pricey but worth every penny !

Great little hidden gem of a restaurant. The portions are large, so come hungry. And if you like the pasta sauce that you chose, you can buy a jar of it on your way out. If the waitstaff would stay on top of silent service drink refills, there would be nothing else to complain about.

We had Chris K. as our server and she was so sweet and personable! We came on a whim when visiting Elgin tonight and the place was packed- so be sure to make a reservation! We had a bit of a wait after being seated before getting drinks but apologies were made and it was explained to us that there was a mix up on who our server was. We didn’t have an issue from then on and service was great! With my Celiac’s disease I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with gluten free pasta but modifications had to be made to substitute the meat sauce with marinara and substitute the meatballs with sausage. Chris K. was knowledgeable about what I could order and was able to make a great recommendation for a sweet wine. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting and made for a great place to chat. Bumping down 1 star because unfortunately they didn’t have any gluten free garlic bread to substitute with my meal but this place truly was worth the hype!

Terrible service. The staff has such faces that I owe them something Every person in your restaurant is a customer. The quality of service should be the same for everyone. I am a DoorDash driver, I came to pick up the order. You said to wait 2 minutes. I waited 20 minutes. I was very polite with you and with the customer. If you don't want to or don't know how to work, that's your owner's problem. Hope he reads this. And your "restaurant" is my black list.

This is a diamond in the rough. Way off the beaten path, it is worth the adventure. We went after visiting a relative at Sherman hospital. It is only a mile away. The place is small, so get a reservation. There were only two waitresses, but their coverage was gold standard. The food was fantastic. The side salad was simple, just greens, but had the best dressing I have had in a long time. My wife told me the caeser was just as good. The pasta with chicken in garlic cream sauce was exceptional and my wife told me that the vodka sauce was better than mine...but that must have been an exaggeration. Overall, a fantastic time.

A Fantastic Pizza Experience with Outstanding Service! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Roma and I must say, it was an absolute delight! As a pizza lover, I was thrilled to discover that they not only served pizza but excelled at it. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generously layered, creating a mouthwatering combination of flavors.

Went for a baby shower hosted here. It was in a back room with a bar. They had surplus kitchen supplies and extra bar supplies piled up on one side of the room. That was very strange. The food was good. The "americano" was mediocre. It was more like a cafeteria serve yourself type set up instead of being served lunch at your table. It did have a patio that backed up to the restaurant, but the door stayed closed. It wasn't a big deal to walk down the hall but there was a door right there. There was one single bathroom for a very large group that didn't have papertowels stocked when we arrived. Someone mentioned it though and they fixed it. I would get take out from here, I really did like the food, but I wouldn't host an event here. It's in an office building, I'm not sure if they even have lunch that's not a catered party?

Very nice smaller restaurant, staff is very professional and very, very nice. A good selection of Italian dishes, always excellent soups and awesome desserts. Highly recommend!

Some of the best pasta, Italian sausage, meatballs and soup ever! Delicious, unique appetizers. Service was over the top friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go again and bring more friends!

My fiancé and I booked Cafe Roma for our engagement party and we could not be more happy with our choice. They delivered the food right on time and the food was spectacular and the perfect amount for our guests. If you are looking for a great place to cater this is the spot. Lisa was amazing and was so well organized she was amazing to work with.

Food is absolutely delicious! No more needing to drive to St Charles or Geneva for good Italian food! The service was the best I’ve had in a long time. Chris was super nice and took care of us. Thank you Cafe Roma for a wonderful dinner

Very good place, everyone in our group loved their food. Pizza was great, pasta was great, drinks were great. It's in a office building do it does feel like your going to the doctor, but don't let that distract you from going. The service was super friendly. The only thing I can complain about was maybe a few too many gun pictures scrolling on the TV video screen, but that is just nitpicking. Will go back for sure.

Attended a private event in this space. Casual atmosphere with great food. The pizza was fantastic, thin crust, NY style. It was more of an appetizer event, but everything was great. From the shrimp cocktail, to the charcuterie board; all excellent! If your in Elgin, stop by for great italian food and relax!

Stopped for lunch on a road trip with the family. Glad we found it and delicious food. Only negative is it will be closed on Sunday when we travel back through or we would have stopped again!
