Dr. Jesse was so patient with my dog. I love that they really are a no fear Vet clinic. It's already stressful enough and I can't imagine it's easy as a vet. So I appreciate his calming nature and willingness to make sure my dog is comfortable.

I have been going to Wheatland animal for approximately 3 years. I usually see Dr. Chris, but each doctor I have seen is compassionate, well qualified and gives excellent care. I recently lost my 17 year old Yorkie, Sebastian. The care and compassion I received during such a traumatic time was overwhelming. I just received a card from the university of Illinois college of veterinary medicine, notifying me that they received a donation from Wheatland in memory of my Sebastian. This touched my heart. If and when I get another pet, I will return to the doctors at Wheatland Animal Hospital. Thank you. Joyce

We have been going to Wheatland Animal Hospital since we lived near Edward Hospital. We passed a bunch of vets on the drive but trusted the reviews that Wheatland would be the best for our baby (aka dog). Our dog is terrified of everything, especially the vet. Everyone at Wheatland has been so sweet with her, and they try to minimize our time in the waiting room and exam room so she can feel safe. We've had a variety of the vets and have been happy with all of them. Lately they have been moving a lot of their appointments/requests online which is convenient too!

My 5 1/2 year old fur baby is new to this office. Both veterinarians I’ve met so far have been so informative and nice! You can really tell they care. This atmosphere is refreshing compared to our previous vet. They definitely make you feel at ease that you and your pet are in good hands! I highly recommend this office!

We just moved into the area from out of state and this was our second attempt to find a local vet. We have no plans on going anywhere else in the future. My dog over the course of a day completely lost her ability to walk. I called in the morning and they got me in as soon as possible. On the drive over I honestly thought she had a 50/50 shot of making it through the week. The front desk saw I had to carry my 60 lb girl and prioritized getting her weighed and into a room so I didn't have to keep carrying her around. The vet was incredibly kind and patient with answering all of my questions. He got down to her level knowing she couldn't tolerate being up on a table. He walked me through what he could see based on her history and his examination, where he would recommend changes in her hip dysplasia treatment and made me aware of options like physical therapy that they had in-clinic without making it feel like a sales pitch or trying to guilt me into paying for something I may or may not be able to afford. I left the office feeling so much more confident in her prospects. Within the week she had improved and I thought I had a better idea of what happened but even better the vet called to follow up unprompted. He ended up agreeing that my thoughts were likely the cause of her issues, walked me through the options and again left me feeling more confident in my dog's future. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was only one visit but I can't imagine changing where we go moving forwards.

Very caring staff. I'd say they treat your animals as if they were their own. My dog doesn't like being "hugged". So the typical hold at the vet freaks her out. The assistant held her gently rubbing and talking to her. Worked out great.

We have been very happy here since we made the switch years ago. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the doctors are compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Chris in particular, has been very helpful and takes the time to go over things with us concerning the health of our cats. We highly recommend this practice.

I have been going to Wheatland Animal Hospital for a couple of years now. They are always so empathetic to my concerns and treat my cat, Honey Buns, with much care. Honey Buns can be a little spicy at the vet, but they handle everything with experience and a plan in mind. I am most thankful for how thorough the vet is. We've had a hard time finding a trusted vet since we retuned back home. Wheatland was recommended to us by a friend and we can't say enough. After two unfortunate ACL surgeries, the staff ensured our dog Ranger was taken well care of. This is an office that will not try to sell you and will ensure you receive great care.

Wheatland Animal Hospital is the first veterinary practice I have had total trust in. They will not try to sell me products or services that are not needed, and take fantastic care of my dog (who has a multitude of issues).

Outstanding in every way. Every staff member, every service, even the customers I have met. Compassionate as heck no matter what the circumstance. Efficient, positive, thorough and informative from the minute we arrive to when we head to our car. And it doesn’t stop there. Our pup has a serious illness and the doctor spends every minute he needs to in order to make sure we understand our options and his recommendations. They clearly love animals and enjoy working together and with customers. I give them all the stars.

Enzo was overweight. On a recommendation from a friend we brought him in to see Dr. Faith. Enzo has lost 25 pounds so far and he is happier and healthier as a result! What a relief! The staff is so kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure an owner's questions are answered. Wheatland provides outstanding service in every way!

My dog had a dental surgery performed at this hospital. Dr. Faith did a great job. It was a little more expensive than other places, but we were very happy with the results. My baby is happy and playful again! I would definitely recommend Wheatland Animal Hospital!

We have two dogs and we take them both here. We have one really shy dog and they take such good care of her. Especially during these covid times, it's nice knowing she's in good hands when we can't be in the room with her. Our other pup doesn't mind the vet, but they treat him equally as well. We did have an instance when our dog hurt his toe and it wouldn't stop bleeding. We brought him over and Wheatland got him in as an emergency 15 minutes later, without an appointment, and took care of him. We're glad they did because what we thought was nail bed injury was actually a growth that had ruptured. They got all the growth removed and sent everything out for testing. They followed up with us and let us know it was not cancer; all good news. It's nice to have some peace of mind with Wheatland Animal Hospital so close by.

Highly recommend this clinic! Staff has ALWAYS been pleasant and they have great availability, and clean facility too. Another thing I appreciate about this location is that they offer a military discount

We've been taking our pets to Wheatland for years!! The staff is friendly,caring,kind,knowledgeable and competent!!! Scott and Chris are the best vets and our pets love seeing them!! They love going there because of the kindness they're treated with!!

What a wonderful group. From the front desk to the treatment area greeting and treating Pepper for the past 15 years was their commitment. From Pepper’s first visit 15 years ago to his last, the kindness of the group showed love for my furry baby. Taking care of his illnesses were always their top priorities like Pepper was their own and only pet in the world. I would recommend this group to any and all pet owners. Love Wheatland Animal Hospital. Have been going there for 22 years. My husband and I have known Dr Chris for that many years. We primarily see Dr Chris but we trust any of the veterinarians with our "fur family". The only change I would recommend is the phone recording. It isn't very professional. I have mentioned this several times but I haven't heard any changes. The person who made the recording doesn't seem confident in the message or doesn't know what to say. Thanks and enjoy the summer. We have been coming here for years for our pup & recommend it to all of our friends who eventually also become life time clients. Dr Chris is the best vet I have experienced throughout all of the years of being a pet owner. He is very knowledgeable & takes everything into consideration, generally giving a couple of options for resolutions of ailments. The other staff there is amazing as well, friendly, knowledgeable & seem to really enjoy their work. Very clean & comfortable environment. Freshly remodeled & expanded bring your pet once here & this will be your only vet forever!

I love this place, the techs and Veterinarians are so kind and caring. The techs were incredibly helpful with my dog reactive dog and allowed me to stay in my car until our room was ready so we could just walk right in. I love that they cater to each pets individual needs. The Vet was very through with his exam and went over his results and answered all my questions. When I wanted to make a switch in his food the staff called me and went over the food and showed me they are actually paying attention to what is being given to each pet. Some of the reception people could be a touch warmer but overall I love and I am willing to pay what they cost because I love the cleanliness, attention to detail, kindness and compassion for our fur babies.

Very knowledgeable and experienced doctors and technicians. They take the time to explain things and are always patient to listen to patient concerns regarding our fur babies. They are patient and gentle with pets and owners. You can tell how much the doctors love their pet patients! It shows! Dr. Chris is our main vet and would recommend him.
