Phenomenal old growth nature preserve in the middle of urban Glenview. If it wasn’t for the nearby traffic noise you would think it was wilderness. Includes wetlands, red oaks, hickories. Also has a great interpretive center around the theme of the 19th century naturalist Kennickott who lived there. Great for kids. Has live terrariums and aquariums. No dogs.

Very nice preserve with a lot of history. There is an interpretive center with live animals such as snakes, turtles, opossums, frogs, even a squirrel. I walked the trails, part of which is a boardwalk. Around the preserve, you can read about the Kennicots family. There was a replica tee pee, school and log cabin similar to what that the family lived in. There is also an estate you can rent out that is beautiful with some statues. I saw some black squirrels and chipmunks. I walked around for about 4 miles. It was beautiful.

The Grove is a National Treasure. More highly cannot be spoken of the work being done at Kennicott's Grove! There's a beautiful trail, amazing animal exhibits, and historical scenes and buildings perfectly preserved. There's events for kids, a unique gift shop, and its a rare chance to interact with history on a personal level. Maybe my favorite place

This was our first time there. We picked up a map and started exploring. This was ok, but I would recommend the guided tour instead.

Gorgeous, ethereal, historical... I've hiked around the world and the Grove still ranks with nature's beauty worldwide.

Amazing retreat from the concrete jungle around. If you're looking to add some magical zen vibe in your busy and hectic week, this place will amaze you in the first 5 min. Great forest trails with plenty of animals, mixed with tranquility and surprising silence. Walk in this place 2-3 times a week and you wont need any therapy :)

My wife and I are giving a family membership to our son & daughter-in-law and their son, Patrick. This makes a terrific anniversary gift. I appreciate the Customer Service rep who helped me.
