Stopped by Uncle Rico's for lunch on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The Lasagna lunch special sounded great, but I wanted to get a baseline on the pizza. Slices were generous and fresh out of the oven. $6 for 2 slices and a can soda is a great deal. Uncle Rico was friendly and personable himself. I'll be back for sure!

I am always looking for good pizza--and being from New Jersey, I'm extra interested in really good New York Style pizza, so since this place opened a few weeks ago down the street from my house, I've been wanting to try it. The universally-positive reviews only whetted my appetite. So today, I ordered delivery and (temporarily) satisfied my craving. It took less than 25 minutes after ordering for my pepperoni, mushrooms, and fresh garlic pizza to arrive. The smell was delicious, and the pie looked pretty good, too! (See photos.) The pizza was everything a New York Style pizza should be: cheese dripping off the slice, a nice tomatoey sauce, very flavorful Pepperoni, and an especially yummy crust that begged to be eaten even when the cheese and sauce were already nibbled off it. I quickly gobbled four slices, and would have eaten more if I wasn't completely stuffed. I added a little parmesan, but it certainly wasn't necessary for a satisfying experience. I have two very mild complaints that prevented this from being a perfect experience. There was an initial hint of a metallic taste that could have been from the fresh garlic (which was however nicely chucked and quite piquant). This metallic taste disappeared after a second or two. Also, I would have liked more mushrooms to better complement the slightly spicy pepperoni. But these are certainly not enough to reduce my review from 5 stars, and they won't be enough to keep me away.

We feel like we stumbled upon a real deal old school pizza place!! Quality ingredients, love and pride are to be expected. I personally love and I mean love the Roni Rolls (pepperoni rolls) They are magical every single time!!!! The pizza is absolutely incredible New York style. The family that owns this place is personable. Always happy and sincere when you come in. Gold standard all the way!! Thank you uncle Rico and family!! We appreciate your art

I understand all the hype. I saw great reviews on several sites and needed to try this place. I had one of their pepperoni slices. I thought that it was amazing. The pizza is thin and has a nice crust! You can hold it by the crust and it stays sturdy. The flavor was really great. I also thought their sauce was awesome. Great flavor. The place is tiny and when I arrived at 11:15, there were already several people there. I will be back for sure!!

I finally stopped by today to check out Uncle Rico’s to see if all these rave reviews were legit! Well in my opinion they are. Tried a slice of regular and Sicilian no toppings the only way to gauge a good pizza. Finding out they use Grande cheese is what made it for me. Most shops here don’t use it because it’s expensive but the better shops on the east coast of Florida do and them being from Hollywood Fl they went with what works. Both slices excellent crust great balance and the Sicilian light and airy. Looking forward to returning but just wish they were closer. This place deserves their great reviews!

This is the best pizza I’ve ever had. They make a special dough, Grandma crust-it’s unbelievable. It’s a crisp crust, delicate flavor, fluffy texture with so much flavor. It’s the best pizza, better than anything I’ve ever eaten in NY and it’s always good. Doesn’t matter what night or how busy he is, the pies are always mind blowing. Everything they make is delicious and fresh & flavorful. Get the garlic knots and dessert!! The cheesecake is also fantastic. I’m just really happy that they’re back!! Thank you guys!!

This is a great pizza spot. In my top 3 for Fort Myers. Love the NY influence in the pizza and Cuban influence in the beef patty. The garlic knots are unbelievable! Super fresh. Perfectly balanced ingredients, baked to perfection, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Oh, and you’ll want to throw some Mike’s Hot Honey on a slice and experience a brand new take on pizza.

Don’t walk, run to this place. Uncle Rico’s is the newest pizza spot close to downtown and well worth it. Don’t be put off by the nondescript exterior—the pizza, garlic knots and beef patties, oh yes, the beef patties are worthy of writing home about. Add some Mike’s Honey (chili-infused) over the top and you’ll thank me. Great dough, best pepperonis in SWFL and some sweet throwback 90’s R&B music in the background….sign me up Rico, I’m in.

I don’t know how this place doesn’t have five star rating!! It was our first time and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I wish I would’ve gotten the ladies name at the counter she was amazing and helped us pick out what pizza to get. We did 1/2 cheese and 1/2 angry uncle!! I cannot wait to be back and try more pizza!! It’s hard to find a pizza that looks amazing but also has good flavor!!

Went here today with my family and it’s the best pizza in the Ft Myers, Cape Coral area. The owners are very friendly as well. It’s mostly a to go spot with limited seating but awesome pizza!

Pizza is Amazing! Upside down pictured which is a personal favorite! Only 4 stars because I wish the place was bigger so I could enjoy more pizza. Ingredients are top notch as well as dough! Small place 3 tables and very busy usually but reasonable wait times. Have been back twice!

WOW! This place is delicious! The best garlic knots I’ve ever had! The pizza is delicious. The service is incredible. We drove from Cape Coral and we will continue to drive from Cape Coral. Can’t wait until you open up in the cape. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I can understand why they were ranked 3rd in the state of Florida! Ordered a cheese pizza to go. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and the decor reminds you of a pizza shop that has been around 50 years. The pie was cooked perfectly and the crust was amazing and the pizza was delicious. Not gonna lie I did a slice on the way home and burned the roof of my mouth really bad. My wife and daughter loved the pizza as well. I'll definitely be back and I really want to try a mushroom, pepperoni and my wife wants a green pepper and onion. Try them, you won't be disappointed!!! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

Being a pizza connoisseur, I HAD to try the place listed on the, "Top pizza places in Florida," that was in MY town. I'd never heard of them, so how could a top level pizza place be IN my town without ME knowing? Well, it turns out EVERYONE keeps it a secret bc they don't want to share it. This place... omfg. I had an eggplant parm stack and I think it made me a better person, it was so good. It literally put me in a better mood. How can eggplant do that? I didn't know it was possible. Sitting off 41 was loud, but after the first bite, I looked out over the bustling main road with new eyes and could appreciate the pink clouds illuminated by our lovely sunset. There was a sweetness in the dish I couldn't place. The balance between their unbelievable red sauce and perfectly browned melted cheese, cascading over the mountain of crisp eggplant, is what dreams are made from. This heavenly perfection was placed before me about 5 minutes after I ordered it. Then, I later thanked me for my patience. The place was PACKED, and they had our food out in 5 minutes! We also ordered a pizza with cupped pepperoni, spicey honey, and fresh basil. I had one piece and was so full and happy I couldn't even form sentences. I can't wait to eat another slice from the takehome box in the fridge. This place is a gem and deserves to be #1 on that, "best of florida," list. The family setting was delightful, and everyone was working hard. I can't wait to go back! Update: Still in love. 🤣

Don't let the hole in the wall, strip mall location fool you. This place is the real deal pizza place in Fort Myers. When I walked in I knew it was going to be good. Only enough space to walk around with 3 little tables. Friendly staff and quick service. I got The Meat pizza, some garlic knots and pepperoni rolls. It was very hard to not dig in before getting back to the house but we waited. The pizza was crisp and chewy, great crust, with just the right amount of char. Topping were plentiful but not sogging down the pizza, just right. The pepperoni roll was crisp and tender with a little chew, caramelized cheese oozing out of it, yes it's worth getting just that even if you aren't in the mood for pizza. The only "just ok" thing was the garlic knots, the dough just wasn't as well made/tasty as the rest, a little dinner roll'ish. The garlic and butter were good with the rest though. Overall, loved it, definitely a great spot. If you're in town or a local, definitely should be your go to pizza spot!

By far the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. I’m no pizza connoisseur but I know good food when I see it, taste it and smell it. The fragrance alone radiating from this pizza was enough to have you coming back for more. The service was alright I think once we become regulars that the restaurant owners/workers will be more friendly. I get it’s hard to be nice to someone you don’t know well. Other than that, the kind woman was nice and explained the menu. Our wait for the pizza was quick and quiet. I got a square 16” margherita for $25. And the pizza was just delicious there are no other words to describe it! Small dining area, may seat up to 8 close-knitted. But nothing too uncomfortable! I will definitely be back to try their calzones.

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! We were greeted warmly when we arrived. The food and service were exceptional. The best pizza in Fort Myers! Buy local, shop local help my bearded brother Uncle Rico and his family out!! We even bought tee shirts to support this business!

Fantastic pizza. The square pizza had a nice light and crispy crust that tasted delicious. I also highly recommend the garlic knots.

Just WOW! The pizza was amazing. Being from NY it’s been hard to find that local pizza spot that just reminds you of home. With Uncle Rico’s that’s what you get. Pizza was fresh and the staff super polite. They are very busy so expect a wait or order through the slice app and just have it ready when you come in. I highly recommend the pizza. We got pepperoni and cheese. We got them well done but the normal cooked looked amazing as well.

Some of the best pizza in the area (and I've tried quite a few)! We tried their garlic knots which had great flavor with the fresh chopped garlic and what tasted like fresh grated parm/romano cheese on top. The Stromboli was HUGE and the sauce is fantastic. You can tell it's simmered for quite a while with good quality ingredients. The margherita pizza had a chewy, flavorful crust and plenty of fresh basil. I really appreciate that the basil wasn't cooked with the pizza and was added on after so it didn't wilt too much or lose flavor. Can't wait to try more of their menu (especially the pizza rolls).

Excellent pizza, crust, sauce cheeseand toppings come together in unison. Beef paties are a must have. Taking you back to those school days in NYC. Oh wait...... Garlic knots rule. AWESOME is all I can say.

The pizza here is great…One of the best places Fort Myers has had. Went in not long before closing Saturday evening and they were totally swamped with orders. (A good sign!) We had a bit of a wait for the pizza since we didn’t call ahead, but would have waited over an hour because it was well worth it. Even with how busy they were, they were incredibly kind and friendly. They even took time to make the cutest little special mini cannolis with half chocolate/half sprinkles when we couldn’t decide which type we wanted. Definitely worth checking out!

fantastic pizza and garlic knots. knots are light and tasty. no heavy brick like most places. pizza had a great crust, cheese and sauce. no sweet, tomato paste style sauce. for my taste, I added a miniscule sprinkle of salt. it amped up the flavor a bit. can't wait for them to work out the dough recipe for grandma pie. a step above DHOP. friendly and welcoming staff
