I don’t understand why people gave 2 or 3 stars and complained about the price or quality. This is definitely one of the best places to have home-style Italian food..the seafood was super fresh and tasty (and I grew up eating fresh seafood). I loved every bite of it. We ordered 4 dishes, 3 cans of soda and an orange and it costed $45 in total. In the US it would easily cost us $80 or more. The owners and the waiter were so friendly and welcoming.

Warm and cozy atmosphere. Very nice service! The prices were fair. Even though I can’t find much vegetarian options in the menu but they would made it up for veggie clients. The creamy desserts were very delicious!

Second time here and it did not disappoint at all. The meals and atmosphere were very authentic. This family run restaurant deserves more attention! It’s a shame that it’s not as popular as it should be. The meal started off with a very homey appetizer (on the house). Ordered fried anchovy and several seafood pastas which was perfectly prepared and seasoned. At the end of our meal, the waiter sends us off with a lovely variety of sweets. The portions were very generous and the meal was very affordable.

Very cute and local restaurant with warm of the owners. We had a table for dinner easily and the staff was very thorough from the beginning to the end of the evening. I had the best spaghetti alle vongole 🍝🥹 I highly recommend.. This restaurant might be a precious experience in Napoli without crowd, underrated for what it worth

Hidden gem near the train station 💎 the area is not inviting, but once you step into the restaurant, all the beautiful neapolitan welcome changes the game! Our waiter Antonio was professional yet friendly, with good English skills and smart appearance. The food, dish by dish, was simple yet delicious, from the first bruschetta, to the delicious cherry tomatoes in pasta alla puttanesca, to the tantalising seabass and crunchy fried calamari. This is what italian food is all about. And as an italian, I am proud that these type of restaurant still exist and attract people. I will tell all my friends about this special place ❤️🥹

Found this restaurant after searching on Google for a restaurant near Central station. It's in a street that doesn't look that nice as there are lots of street sellers around there. we went around 7pm. The staff are very welcoming, small menu choices, but the prices are very reasonable. We ordered lasagne and seafood pasta, also a portion of calamari. Food didn't take long to come out as there was only one other table in the restaurant with us at the time, but it soon got quite busy. Good portion sizes, very tasty and we also had desserts. The total bill with 2 beers and a coke came to 47 euros. I would definitely recommend trying this local, family run, business when in Naples.

Perfect! The best tiramisu from my life! Typical italian trattoria. If you expect luxury, this is not the place. But if you are looking for a very traditional and welcoming place, this is for you!!

Wonderful local trattoria run by an old couple. They are very sweet and the food was really good. The grilled calamari was super. We came on a Saturday evening and was surprised we were the only ones. Don't be fooled, it's a good place

The seafood is super nice. The elder Italian couple are friendly and cute. We ordered by showing the picture and it went well. Grilled seafood plate is fresh and tasty. Would recommend to people who love seafood, too.

I was looking for an authentic family dinning! This is it.! The family runs back many generations and they still here making delicious meals. We had fresh fish and vegetable sautéed in olive oil. Both the fish and vegetables were perfect. For desert we had Tiramisu, made in house, it was lite and fluffy, taste was perfect. All for less than 60e Good not ask for a better meal.

Authentic Italian family restaurant, the food was tasty especially the fish. The starter was free from the house while waiting for my dishes. I rarely eat pasta but this was an exception, the fresh tomato sauce and the sea food gave the dish a special something. Definitely recommended for the service and the taste.

What a wonderful place! Italian couple is ruining this place since 1986. They are full of joy and passionate about. If you are looking for a place where you can try traditional local dishes and enjoy the vibe that’s the place you are looking for. Support them during those times!

Don’t get intimidated by the surroundings and step in. The food is very tasty, cooked traditionally. We were greeted by a nonna, she is part of the 4th generation owning the restaurant. One hour after we sat down she was still at the door, greeting other guests as well. Yes, guests, because in this restaurant you’re not just a client, however you feel as a grandson/.daughter. Don’t expect much of luxury, remember you are as cosy as you’re in your grandparents’ home. We had marinated anchovies and gnocchi alla sorrentina as a starter and for secondi we had grilled dorada with oven cooked artichoke and lasagna. The lasagna was a bit strange, cooked with potatoes, however the rest was very tasty.

This is a great, small, traditional family restaurant along a side street. Prices were extremely fair, the food was fresh, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.

The seafood is extremely fresh and hand picked by the family run owners in their late 85 of the restaurant. We had grilled seabream fish, pasta, white wine together with a couple of home made antipasti. A must go to for meals. Valued for money and great service. Highly recommended especially if you looking for fresh seafood.

It's a 4th generation family restaurant, and has the best seafood compared to nearby Michelin restaurants such as MiMi. We went here 3 times with my wife and kid. Grandma and grandpa up front, and (I think) grandson is the waiter. Best food I've had in Napoli. Bruschetta and fresh ricotta to start, then fresh caught dorado pan fried, potatoes, wine, and tiramisu and amari for dessert at a really fair price. Just around the corner from Porta Nolana. If I was staying here longer I'd definitely go back for more.

The restaurant is super cozy and family oriented. We were very well served and the food was amazing! I was craving some bolognese during the trip, so I was very happy to find this place that served a very well made fettuccine alla bolognese. The two of us had each a primi, secondi and a contorni. We also got a garrafe of the wine of the house, which is about 250ml. We paid $55 in June 2023. We would have ordered dessert but there wasn’t any more room! 😂 The cost was great for all we got and the experience was fantastic. The owners were there and they checked often how we were doing. If I wasn’t leaving before the next meal, I’d probably return for the lasagna that was very well recommended.

The food and service at this family owned restaurant is the best meal I have had in all of Italy. We ordered marinated anchovies, fresh fish, sausage, Penne All'arrabbiata, 2 carafes of wine and they gave us bruschetta and bread as an appetizer for free. The food was absolutely amazing The bill came to only 41 Euros. The service and friendly atmosphere was amazing and is located in the heart of Napoli. If in the area this is a place that you must try.

A real pearl in the fresh market next to Porta Nolana: family runned local restaurant since 4 generations. Photos on the wall, grand parents at reception, grand child serves, all these are saying: welcome home! The cooking of spaghetti is excellent, we also asked for a soft version et very satisfied. Tiramisu, the best I ever had: light cream texture, correctly dosed alchool, sweet touch as it needs. We really enjoyed this late lunch (3PM).

I can directly say that this place is the most satisfying restaurant for me in Napoli, even you compare with Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano. Owners (old couple ☺️) and waiter Antonio are pretty lovely, helpful and kind. Marinated anchovies, prawns and wine are absolutely delicious. Prices are affordable and cheap when you consider service and taste. Interior design is local, authentic and fresh. If I could give 10 stars, definitely I could. Highly recommended

Cute and cosy family style restaurant with a lovely old Italian couple who greet you. Served by a friendly waiter who spoke good English. Very affordable prices, had two starters on the house (bruschetta with fagiole) and then two mains, two drinks and a tiramisu for €25!! The tiramisu was very delicious and to be honest, everything was nice. They were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

A marvellous, cute-looking, family-ran restaurant serving traditional Italian meals. The food we ordered was simply mouth-watering; we’d never eaten better pasta than here. The flavours were fantastic! If you’re looking for an authentic experience, we definitely do recommend this place. Not to mention the extremely likeable and helpful waiter as well as great prices. We loved dining in here!

Amazing family run restaurant in the heart of napoli. The food is cheap, simple and very tasty. We went for a simple meal but stayed for 3 courses 😁. The staff speak a little english but some knowledge of Italian will get you a long way. Regardless they're very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back when I'm in this part of the world.

I don't know if people give good reviews to this place because of the really nice old couple who run this place or for the actual food. I will be honest with my review and it's not good. We got the gnocchi alla sorrentino and the frutti calamari to go. What we got was pan-fried anchovies (see picture) and a gnocchi that was cooked good but had zero taste. The pan-fried anchovies (3 out of 5) turned out to be not as bad as I thought they would be. I normally don't like anchovies but since we got it to go, we decided to eat it (didn't finish all of it). The gnocchi (1 out of 5) was just tasteless. I felt like I was eating boiled gnocchi with cheese... a little seasoning would go a long way. Anyways, I'm a little disappointed that they messed up an order that only had 2 items we asked for... especially since we were the only customers there at the time. I am sure there are better places out there.

This little restaurant serves delicious and authentic Italian food. It is runned by a sweet, old Italian couple. When we ordered, we got a small appetizer from the house. They are really welcoming and the food is good, and all that for a reasonable price. Would very much recommend this restaurant!

I was satisfied with the restaurant, the old couple were nice until the bill arrived. I've ordered salad (4e), bolegnese pasta (6e), seafood fettuccine(9e) and a water (no price). Somehow it ended costing me 27e and after I complained, they said they mistake the bill and was 26e. 2 euros for a bread we didn't order and 4 euros for a water (still missing 1 euro). It was perfect until then and was going to give them tip, but I don't know why they need to do that.

We were searching for the closest place to eat before we had our train and was the best decision we've made since we were in Naples. I totally recommend this place. Also the staff is so nice and friendly. We ate sea food dishes and tiramisu. Delicious!

Lovely local family restaurant in the middle of a market. All staff were welcoming and warm hearted. Dishes are all in local napolitano style and the taste is hearty and all to my tasting. Their marinated anchovies are a must-try!

Had been here twice. It’s owned by a super nice and friendly family. The service is fast ( or faster than other Naple places we have been). we have tried the grilled seafood, fried seafood , pasta , vegetables, tiramisu. All super good. And very close to the train station.
