If I have to choose a restaurant to represent the city of Norwood or South Australia, this would definitely make its way to the round-ups. Nice decor and tasty food. The meat and seafood here are absolutely amazing. It would be a shame if you come here and missed them. 🥳Big fan of the octopus 🐙 and chilies chicken 🐓. Tinder and zesty. Even the side salad in the entry dishes are delicious. Little suggestions: a little be slow between entry and main course; the lights outside the store window keep reflecting and blinding our eyes, could do something about that.

We had a large group booking with children and the staff made sure that the children didn't go hungry. They also helpfully let us know that there were other large groups and so that we weren't too late. The food was all delicious and when we added on extra serves halfway through they arrived quickly. Service was spot on all night. Great wine list and you definitely need to try a dessert shot.

Hands down, the best dining experience in Adelaide. To start with, every single member of staff was incredible. All of them so friendly and helpful - we have never had better service from any restaurant we've ever been to. The food was to die for. We got the Octopus and Garlic bulb bread as a starter (tik-tok this stuff to see how good it is), and for mains we got the Rib Eye and Chilli Chicken. Everything was so succulent, cooked absolutely perfectly and packed with flavours that remained in my mouth for hours prior. The vibes are awesome. Has a really Latin American sort of vibe going on, with so many different textures and colours. The price is what you would expect to pay for this type of experience. Mains average $40 and starters average $20. Even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to fault one thing about Goosegow. You haven't experienced what Adelaide dining has to offer until you've been here.

This is my second time coming here. First time food was good, service was atrocious. We had Pablo. It took 45 minutes for us to get our drinks, the restaurant was busy but 45 minutes is insane. We weren’t even getting cocktails, just sparkling wine. This was on the 5th of Feb. Second time was tonight, 9/3. Food was mostly good. Although we ordered the steak medium rare and it came half well done/half whatever you’d call it in the photo. Same waiter, this time restaurant had 4 tables, wasn’t even nearly half as busy. He was (on empty tables) wiping them and laying cutlery, while we waited for drinks. Both times (entrées and mains), food came before drinks. Cocktails were slooooow. It took 30 minutes from us sitting down to get our first drinks. The wet side of the restaurant business is the easiest to manage, people are always happy to wait if they have drinks. We had to keep asking. It’s unbelievable, they brought us 4 bottles of water before they finally brought (after another 40 minutes) the 1 bottle of red wine we’d ordered. First time we had 7 people, tonight we had 4. Gave it a fair chance before deciding to leave a review. The waiter Chirath, is the only saving grace. His level of hospitality training is impeccable! Unfortunately we had him for such a short time. Update: I’ve updated my review (as a person from the same nationality, I did not want to name the person who gave us bad service on both occasions to begin with. But I’ve updated this review and named the waiter as advised).

Very beautiful ambience, friendly and helpful staff. They are always around to cater to our needs. Fantastic squid and octopus entree. Very fulfilling beef brisket, lamb and chicken platter. Superb panacotta with fruits and nuts. Very tasty berry drink. Ample carpark next to the restaurant.

Spacious restaurant with a romantic setting, gets busy, best to make a booking. Friendly service. Crispy chips were complimentary and addictive. Drink was tasty and very Berry flavoured. Pork strips were well seasoned, but bit too hard and chewy. Beef brisket was so tender and smokey, packed with flavour. Porterhouse was nicely cooked and tender, could use more jus with it. Overall a delicious experience.

We dined with you on Saturday evening, and we were all so impressed we can not stop raving. From the quality of food to the service we were so greatful to be apart of the experience! Quality customer service is hard to come by and your staff deserve a massive shout out! Thank you again and we can't wait to come back!

My wife and I went to Hoosegow for our anniversary dinner last night. The staff were happy to assist us with our requests for our kids. The cocktail, mocktail and entrees were delicious. My wife and I shared a 1kg ribeye which was cooked beautifully to medium rare. We rolled out after dessert very satisfied with the food and service. Can't wait to visit again.

They did a medium sized party booking well, the set menu is generous and tasty, lots of variety, it was an entertaining evening with some nice birthday touches.

Went there last night for my friend’s birthday dinner. Everything was on point. The food, the atmosphere, and above all the people working over there were friendly and nice. They celebrated the birthday and sang through the way. To my surprise, even the basic lemon, lime and bitters tasted so refreshing! You cannot go wrong with this place. Highly recommended!

Have been here twice and had no complaints on either occasion. The service and atmosphere were great - and the food even better! Definitely at a price point my family and I only consider for special occasions. But the food and drinks are well worth the $$.

It was served with mojito salsa, and pickled onion that complemented the meat perfectly, and the sides of black bean salad, and baby potatoes were the perfect accompaniments. This dish alone is reason enough to visit Hoosegow restaurant. The chilli chicken was another highlight of my meal. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender, with a mouth-watering spicy kick that lingered on my taste buds long after the meal was over. The food was made even more enjoyable by the wonderful staff. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the overall experience. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and their service was impeccable throughout the evening. Had the most wonderful dinner here tonight, my partner and I had been eyeing this place off for a long while, so glad we finally booked in! The ambience/atmosphere is perfect, the cocktails were delicious and the food was just completely on point. I had the eye fillet with the mash and veg option, my partner had the lamb cutlets. The steak was perfectly cooked and the mash was to die for. The customer service was so friendly and welcoming, couldn't fault a single thing. Will certainly be coming back!

It was magical, the minute we walked in the door we were greeting with a warm inviting smile & demeanour. We were made to feel important. No question too small. Food was spectacular. Drinks on point. Visiting from Sydney and found Hoosegow on Instagram. It didn’t disappoint, food was incredible and they have the nicest staff on the planet. We interacted with at least 6 different staff and all of them were so friendly. One of us has an egg allergy, which we put in the reservation notes- our waiter was prepared and told us the menu items that contained egg. Delicious food, generous portions- so so tasty! Highly recommend.

Fantastic meal, I had a rare porterhouse 500gm. Perfectly cooked and flavour in every bite. My table also shared the starters platter which had an array of some very delicious and flavourful starters. The service was exceptional, all the waiters were very helpful and friendly. It was an amazing night to celebrate my mothers 50th Birthday.

Am pleased with this place! Going to start off with the staff here, all very friendly and kind. They are so considerate with the little details and made sure everything was ok and well with the ingredients. They greet you so kindly upon arriving and leaving, staff waited at the door and walked my friends and I out. That was super lovely. The restaurant was not hard to locate at all and there is parking on the sides of the restaurant on the first turn. Simple good ambience with warm lighting. I must say though, the seating we were sitting at was quite close to the next tables, could use a bit more space between for private conversation reasons. The food is indeed good and definitely makes you want to come back and try other dishes. We all shared our mains and all enjoyed it very much. The listed bellows are just what stood out to me most. - The Lamb Cutlet was cooked quite well, it comes with 5 pieces. Was not over cooked and has a nice simple flavour. The mash that comes with was very nice, the portion of it was a little too small for my liking. I feel it could definitely use a bit more of that as the portion ratio of cutlets and mash didn’t compliment fully well. 9.1 - Signature Chilli Chicken is how it sounds, if this is more to your liking, it is chilli alright, the portion was done perfectly well for a main meal and the amount of veggies was a good size to go with, chicken was done good too, it was not too dry, but almost— the dipping sauce to compliment with can use a bit more for the portion of the chicken. 8.8 - The Swiss Mushrooms was banging! If you don’t like mushrooms, you may change your mind after tasting this, because I sure as heck did! 9.6 - The Berry Mocktail was very refreshing, light and super yummy, not too sweet at all. 9.2 - Something Corn (I don’t recall) It was good too. 8.5 Highly recommend and will be coming back to try the other foods and another update!

Me and my family had the best time in a restaurant in Adelaide. The food and choices were fantastic! Service was extremely passionate. The place was warm and cozy. I was skeptical about the high prices, but at the end, it was more than worth it. We will be back.

Had a large booking on a Saturday night to celebrate my son's 21st. All the staff were extremely and attentive and friendly. You couldn't fault it. A few of the guests hadn't been here before and raved about the food and atmosphere. My son felt very special and we all had a fabulous time. Thank you all again for a wonderful evening.
