The beauty of the Blue Lake is absolutely breathtaking. Even though I've been here over 5 times, I can't help but stop and admire it every time. The water is crystal clear, and the park is well-maintained. You can camp or have a picnic on the lush, manicured grass, but don't forget your sunscreen! Plus, there's free parking available.

Lower altitude than other lookout around. With spectacular view with the BLUE - lake. Few trees in the middle of it. But nice and quiet next to the information center with toilet.

Significant view from apex lookout, park your car there seat in your car have a coffee and enjoy the view. There's a 3.7 K walking track that goes around the lake and takes about an hour to finish it. Toilets are available within a few minutes walk from the lookout

This lookout and the blue lake itself WOWED us the most during our visit to Mount Gambier. This stunning lake provides freshwater supplies to the city as it is purified by limestone and stuff like that connected to the depth of our earth. According to what we read this was part of a former volcano crater (one of the youngest volcanoes in Australia) formed between 15 and 40 million years ago. It’s definitely worth a visit.
