I started dancing with PDF in Nov 2019 and I absolutely love the classes! I don't like working out unless I'm having fun and this definitely fits that description! The instructors have great choreography and energy and there is a mix of lower and higher energy classes. I appreciate that most all instructors focus on safety, often saying dancers should adjust and do what feels good for their body. I especially appreciate that PDF has moved to online classes during the pandemic. In the last few stressful weeks, it's been one of the few things that make me feel better and make my routine seem more normal. Dancing has always been one of the times when I completely focus and clear my head of all worries, stresses, and anything else except focusing on the music and moves. This has been so valuable, especially recently.

I can’t say enough good things. My 3 and 4 year old did creative movement classes with Ms. Beverly and Ms. Ava on Sundays. My daughter bloomed with Ms. Beverly in way I couldn’t have expected. She often struggles to focus, but she never took her eyes off Ms. Beverly and never felt as confident in anything as she did in dance. Ms. Beverly also gave me a lot of time and sound suggestions on next steps for my daughters dance as she gets older. My son had so much fun with Ms. Ava even though he started at 2.5, he felt like he got to be a big kid too and loved to show us his animal dances .The studio also is incredibly flexible-which is great for busy parents, and they definitely follow through on the fun part!

Bollywood tech (Wednesday) This class has to be one of my favourite dance classes of all time with the right amount of focus on technique, cardio, energy, and most importantly - the camaraderie. The instructor is inclusive and makes any level of dancer feel confident. She’s extremely patient, encouraging, and makes sure to take the time to catch newer students up to speed - an extremely important quality for me! Would 100% recommend to everyone in my network.

I've been going to PDF for about three years now, and I love it. It's made working out and getting in shape so much more fun. There are a wide variety of classes to try, and it seems like they are always offering a new class or workshop which keeps things interesting.

The Bollywood dance class on Wednesday nights is honestly one of the best things to have ever happened to me. The music is always catchy, the dance moves are fun, and it’s a great workout. I’m not a professional dancer but I enjoyed Bollywood dance in college and wanted to continue that interest. The instructor is a talented dancer who provides top- notch choreography and still works with everyone to make sure they are comfortable with the steps. She’s always open to suggestions and fosters a sense of camaraderie in the class. I’ve learned not just Bollywood moves, but also dance styles from across all of India (bharatanatyam, kathak, folk). The class is a fun workout but it’s so much more than that - it’s become an amazing community of people who share a love of Bollywood dance and music and who I look forward to seeing every week.

I used to attend -and love - PDF live classes, but recently I hadn't been able to make it very often. Now that's we're all shut at home, I have been absolutely relying on the new virtual classes - partly for exercise, but largely for the huge mood boost! Being able to come back to PDF for the virtual and recorded classes has been WONDERFUL. And I'm having a great time going to classes I had never tried before. The recorded version of Lehla's African Caribbean class was exactly what I needed tonight, and she is so great - as are Deborah, the owner, and the other instructors. I just signed up for the monthly subscription, and I was very happy to see that the virtual offerings will continue as long as we keep using them. Thank you, Philly Dance Fitness!

Wednesday night Bollywood Tech Antima is a talented choreographer, teacher, and curator of a an incredible Bollywood dance community! The musical selection is spot-on and always puts a smile on my face (and of course makes me want to dance)! The choreo is fun and Antima ensures everyone has an opportunity to learn the steps. I’ve truly enjoyed my time in this class and hope to continue to make it a part of my Wednesday routine. So thankful I found this community to welcome me to Philly.

So many great dance choices @Philly Dance Fitness! I’ve been dancing with them virtually during pandemic and loving the variety: hip hop, cardio, Bollywood and more. And they offer shorter “Express” classes as another great option 😊. The instructors all make the dance experience fun fun fun and I highly recommend Philly Dance Fitness.

PhillyDanceFitness worked with me to plan my school's Back2School Event! Zumba started off slow, but as people started dancing others kept joining in and loved it. Deborah was amazing and kept the energy going through the whole event. The administrators also loved how COVID safe it was! I will definitely keep PhillyDanceFitness in mind next time I plan a big campus-wide event!

Nice space. I only took the ballet I class. It's a tiny space but big enough!

I've been attending Philly Dance Fitness classes since 2013--it's my main form of exercise and I cannot recommend them enough. The classes themselves are great (I highly recommend Dance Party Boot Camp, which is a good mix of fun dancing and challenging exercise). But there is absolutely no pressure--so if you want to try something you've never done before, or just don't have as much energy one day--you do YOU and don't feel like you have to perform/ "be good" at anything. I had previously tried Koresh and didn't like how performative it was--this is a much more relaxed and friendly vibe. As one of my fav instructors says, "as long as you're having fun and being safe, you're doing it right". The instructors are all super nice and over the years I've made some great friends. (So don't be shy about introducing yourself if you're new to a class!). Last but not least, I love that it's a small, woman owned business. And you really do get a personalized touch when interacting with the business. Any time I've had issues, or if need to pause my membership, they've been super understanding, accommodating, and quick to respond. (Unlike pretty much every other gym membership I've ever had, ha). If you're on the fence, I highly recommend!

We had a bachelorette dance party here and it was the highlight of the weekend! All of the girls had a blast and Deb was a wonderful instructor. If you’re looking for something fun and different to do with a big party I’d highly suggest this place.

I didn't even get to experience a class. I called to ask about availability and to see if this was a drop in studio. I barely got my words out before the lady on the phone rudely cut me off and said the class was full for the evening then hung up before i could say thank you. I will not be taking classes here.

I have never felt so accepted and welcomed in a fitness/dance company. The instructions are AMAZING and always want you wanting more and you’re having so much fun you don’t even notice the time. PDF has changed my life in so many ways. I’m so glad I found them and they accept me here.

I scoured high and low for a bollywood dance team for years before finally coming across BollyTech Philly. None of the other bollywood classes in the NJ/PA area were up to my standards. None seemed to challenge me in a way that I needed having come from a dance team in college. Then I came across Antima and her incredible choreography and for the first time in years, was genuinely challenged to become a better dancer. Wednesdays are permanently dance days.

I heard of Philly Dance Fitness when I first moved to Philly in 2019 and I've been dancing with them ever since and in particular, the Bollywood Tech class on Wednesdays led by Antima. It's been a huge part of my Philly life. There are so many great things about Antima's class - the energy she brings, the energy of the class and of course, the incredibly fun dance routines that span so many different styles. It's evident Antima puts in a ton of effort into choreographing the varied and challenging routines, but she's also a fantastic teacher taking the time to step through the nuances of every step. Finally - the community she has created through this dance class is truly special and is a huge part of why I love these classes! :)

If I could give 6 stars I would, and that is solely because of Antima's Bollywood Tech class! I have only ever taken her class and will continue to do so for as long as I possibly can. Antima is a talented dancer with expertise in both classical Indian dance and Bollywood styles. Her teaching methods are excellent as dancers from all levels of experience consistently leave her class with new knowledge and a new appreciation for what their bodies can do. Most importantly, Antima is a world-class choreographer who clearly puts in the time to bring us intricate, yet still accessible, and cutting edge choreography. I love getting to embody her choreography on a weekly basis. Antima is a treasure and Philly Dance Fitness would be nothing without her!!!! Highly recommend this amazing class!

I’ve been a part of Philly dance fitness for almost 10 years now mainly because of my incredible experience being a part of Bollywood classes with Antima. Not only does she provide a great workout, but also a fun and encouraging atmosphere, great technique and choreography from all different styles of Indian dance, a sense of teamwork and community, and opportunities to showcase our hard work. Thank you Antima and Philly dance fitness for helping me continue my childhood passion of dance and most importantly for providing this family that is my favorite part of living in this city! 1000 stars :)
