BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Shikharbaddha mandir, built in 1916 by Shastri Yagnapurushdas which is the second highest temple in Gujarat at exactly 108 feet.

This temple was constructed in 1916 by Shashtriji Maharaja. This place is very holy of swaminarayan sampraday. Whole Temple made by marble and very good carving. This temple are very peaceful and cleaness. Very large and wonderful Gate of this Temple at left side. This is a very amazing and heritage. This is a unique architecture and carving. Do spend some time here to learn the history of the Bhagvan Swaminarayan and the following that BAPS has. You can tour the entire facility and read about all of the stories from many years ago. Highly recommend for this largest and greatest temple.

Beautiful temple with scenic gardens and architecture. The campus of the hindu temple is well-maintained. The temple has beautiful sculptures made up of stone and marble. The smrutimandirs of shastriji maharaj and pramukh swami maharaj are also present here. The temple serves free lunch, breakfast and dinner for everyone. Best quality food is available here. Rooms are available here at a reasonable cost. The gardens maintained by the BAPS are a delight to the eye. One of the best temples I've ever visited. One can experience peace and become calm by the sight of this serene place.

Bhagwan Swaminarayan established the Swaminarayan faith and renewed the ideals of Hinduism in 18th century India. He established a spiritual way of life and code of conduct to be followed. ‘Satsang’ is the word used by Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s followers to describe the process of associating with God and the guru to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Literally, ‘sat’ and ‘sang’ in Sanskrit mean ‘association with the truth.’ Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s followers are commonly referred to as ‘satsangis’ as they identify with Swaminarayan satsang. Satsangis live their daily lives in accordance with a righteous code of conduct, or dharma, which is defined by the Swaminarayan scriptures as well as by the living guru. As explained by Pramukh Swami Maharaj (1921-2016), “Paraspar preeti prasaravey te dharma,” which means, “That [code of conduct] which increases love and peace is worthy of being called dharma.” The central religious tenet for BAPS satsangis is bhakti, or devotion to God. Bhakti, when combined with dharma, gnan (spiritual knowledge), and vairagya (detachment), leads to one becoming an ideal devotee, or an ekantik bhakta. This is achieved in the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha by devoting oneself to God as per the example set by the guru. The guru is the ideal bhakta of God; hence, the guru guides spiritual aspirants on the path to spiritual bliss, a state that he enjoys continuously.

L loved the swaminarayan madir at Sarangpur and place is really awesome, calm full and a silent place. I really love the atmosphere over there and enjoyed a lot .

Reached Sarangpur on the rainy eve, I was with my grandparents ( both are 75+ years old ). When I visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir's office for thr accomodation. Two persons in the office replied mr like " Do you have any reference ? Does any Sant ( Saint ) know you personally ? " I request them that, I'm with the family, still they were like " We are not allow anyone without reference ? Do you think in such a holy place, at place of Bhagwan, His Bhakts need reference? Never gonna visit this place. They're being a professional and Professionalism isn't good for DHARM.
