A great way to end our Tokyo trip! Sushi Kyotatsu isn't just very good airport food, it was one of the best sushi we had in Tokyo! The fish tasted so delicious and fresh that we didn't want to leave. It is a little pricey, but it was well worth spending the remainder of our yen to enjoy the food and view. The staff was also very friendly and served us quickly. Definitely try this place if you're in the mood for sushi!

Very good food for airport standard. Definitely the place to head to for your last sashimi/chirachi fix before you leave Japan. It was difficult to find as the English name was not labeled on the board. Near gates 34. Easier if they stated which gate it was on rather than the map location.

I was glad to eat here after a LONG time before. Imagine a world where all airport sushi is even close to being this good. If your flight is remotely close to this place, it is worth skipping the dining choices in the front and waiting until you get through security so you can eat here. The staff runs like a friendly and polite well-oiled machine and they crank out fresh sushi like clockwork.

This is not just very good sushi by airport standard, but very good sushi by any standard! The sushi chefs are wonderful too. Too bad I had to rush, otherwise I would definitely enjoy this much longer. This is now a must have if you depart from Terminal 1. A little bit on the expensive side though, about ¥3,000 per sushi set (lunch). They are on the North Wing right before the Gate 11-18 section.

Good sushi and very fresh. Not the best I’ve had but good quality, especially since it’s Ricky at hue airport, inside terminal 1. The red wine was kept in a fridge so temperature was off. But our chirashi don and maguro don were good. It’s slightly in the pricey side. 11.000¥ for two people

This was our first time in Japan and we had couple hours layover. We had to try sushi, so we entered this place. First impression, the smell is very fishy as you walk in, kind of small, very simple decor. We ordered two items on the menu, waitress said it would be enough for 2 people. As I said, its our first time in Japan, maybe this is how its supposed to be, but the taste was too authentic for us I guess. We finished all the pieces but I can't say I would ask for seconds. Oh, and it was too expensive in my opinion. I know its the airport, but $150 for 2 people, too much

Not bad sushi before leaving Japan, ordering the sushi sets would be better than the omakase as it can take awhile to serve.

Recommend if you have time during a layover. Dine in or take to go. Had a short wait to be seated. Not only do they serve sushi, cooked fish, ice cream, as well as other dishes are on the menu. The California roll was good, as well as the service. It is easily located once you depart the plane at the United terminal 1. Next to the souvenir shop. Prices marked in yen. Can use bank card.

Kyotastu at gate 34 terminal 1 is simply amazing. We, a group of 7 adults, sushi lovers, dine in. The resto accommodated us into 2 separate tables. Service is courteous and fast. Wild blue-fin tuna is excellent here!

Best airport meal I've ever had. Agreeing with most of the other reviewers here, this is not an exaggeration. The sushi were well made and fresh - rivalling most of other sushi restaurants in Tokyo. However, it is definitely more pricey than what you would find in Tokyo.

This was hands down the best sushi I've ever had. Highly recommend the chef's choice sashimi platter if you want variety. The service great and the waitlist moved very quickly despite them being short staffed. Will have to come back on my layover back for more.

I was very happy with the service, atmosphere and food quality. I had previously been disappointed when I ate a different restaurant in terminal 1, but figured I couldn’t do any better if I’m stuck in the airport. Ah, but you can do MUCH better if you find this little culinary gem hiding in the miles and miles of uninspired food options available in this massive terminal. After being seated and finding real sushi chefs working diligently using what looked like very fresh fish I must say that I was quite delighted. I can report that the suggested local (local to that region of Japan’s ocean waters - if I remember correctly) caught tuna sushi was very good and highly suggested even if the price is rather high. As a recap: this is a big win for anyone stuck in the terminal during a transfer.

I was extremely excited because I was in Tokyo for a layover and this airport had sushi! Of course I wanted to try it. I got the sashimi platter and a salmon bowl and I've got to say that the fish was not as tender as if you are going into a restaurant within Japan. It's a bit flavorless and the wasabi was definitely not fresh. If it on the disappointing side, especially for the price. On the bright side, the service was great! The wait wasn't long, as long as you were open to being seated anywhere. Overall, it was just okay.

**Food *Sake *Atmosphere *Quality *Staff If I could give 6 stars I would. This place is pricey but my what a treat on a layover! Outside of Tokyo itself, this is consistently some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!! The tuna combo is amazing, it’s on a different card from the menu. If you like sushi, everything is amazing. Scallop, salmon, they have 3 different types of eel, have to always try all of them! (Traditional unagi, freshwater eel, and eel from japan).

I had only an hour layover from Guam and this small sushi joint was right in front of my gate. I walked around and there really was no other spots. I will say it was a wonderful find. The service was very polite and surprisingly quick. I had me lean tuna and fatty tuna sushi along with grouper. The fatty tuna was as expected the best of the bunch it just melted like butter and the lean tuna was still just as good. I noticed the rice was not the white starchi rice it was more whole with a light brown colour to it and as mild as it was the rice had a bit of a fride rice flavor to it. Bottom line guys it's not like your going to work through security just for a bite of sushi but if you happen to be connecting there just go it is very good.

Delicious!!!!! Had the salmon sashimi( excellent) and Tuna variety nigiri. The semi gay tuna is fantastic. It almost had a hint if sweetness. The rice is already marinated in soy sauce. A great seat to end your trip to Japan

Food is pretty good but don’t expect you can have the same portion and price as inside Japan. This is a restaurant inside Narita airport so pretty expensive. We paid 10,000 yen for 2 people but not really full whereas you can get full with around 3000-5000 yen inside Japan. Atmostphere is good, service is good. Just don’t expect to get a regular sushi and you’ll fine.

I had a layover for a couple of hours in Japan, and how can you leave Japan without trying their sushi. So a couple of airline reps recommended this spot. One of the best sushi 🍣 I have had. The beer 🍺 was also nice and smooth. Most check out when your in Tokyo.

Good sushi restaurant to have your last sushi in Japan 😆 Located on the way to my gate (gate 41) They have variety of ingredients here Taste fresh and umami! I have grilled fatty tuna (grilled otoro ) and igura, love it both Serve very fast you can quickly grab it while waiting for your plane Price also okay , acceptable Service as good as Japanese are

Terrible International Airport surprisingly. Almost no food after the gate. One stall selling a few items, including alcohol, from gate 11 all the way to 42. Sure they offer plenty of Duty Free shops, maybe 6, but they should add some passenger amenities. Would be nice to have a few restaurants. I’m being generous with 2 stars. International overseas departures in Toronto was fabulous.

Excellent place to get one last sushi fix before you fly off, with a fresh assortment of fish and great English service.

Wild tuna chuutoro sent me to heaven, uni was less impressive but still delicious. Slightly expensive but expected for quality and location within airport. I ordered the sushi set and it was delicious, would recommend for one last good taste of sushi before flying.

Seems like there's two branches here at Narita Airport- one near gate 35 and the other near gate 11, beside doutor coffee. Had the one near gate 35 and was so packed. It's good as a last sushi meal before flying off. You can also take away

Staff was very friendly, introduced and recommended the menu to me. Had a quite and great time at the restaurant. Sushi was beautifully placed on the plate and I like love the warabimochi, the sauce was a bit too sweet but I like the texture.

Stopped by here and got the omakase course which did not disappoint. Fish was very fresh, presentation and ingredients were wonderful. Prices were reasonable. Definitely stop by here if you have at least an hour to kill.

Ok, first, let me admit that I haven't actually had sushi in Japan outside of this airport experience which may very well color my opinion. Regardless, if you are looking for sushi at Narita, I would highly recommend Kyotatsu. The tuna, yellowtail and eel were excellent. The Japanese tiger prawns were easily the best shrimp (ebi) sushi I have ever had. The rolls were ok. Price wise, it will take a bite out of the checkbook, but still worth it. The nigiri was served as one piece each which could be the norm in Japan, but I am used to the concept of 2 pieces each when ordering nigiri. And the cost was almost equivalent. All told, it was about around 1.5 times the price of sushi in the US. Whether that was the current exchange or just the price that is charged is debatable. Regardless, it was very good. Especially for an airport.

High quality fresh sushi restaurant that is available conveniently at the Narita airport near Gate 3x! Even though it is quite pricing, the freshness and quality of its dishes are really on par with what you can find in town. I love sitting at the bar area so to see the masters making sushis while enjoying them. Be prepared that queues can be long during their afternoon peak hours from 2 to 6pm.

Wherever you are in terminal 1 walk here for sushi. If you're transferring make this a required stop on your trip. Better than you'll find at top sushi places in the US. My must order here is Aji, Uni, Kohada, and fatty Salmon. It really that good.

Excellent sushi. Some of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend their omakase. The chefs were great and had the best recommendations for how to have each item.

👍👍 Cheap and good sushi place. Wide variety of sushi, sashimi and noodles to choose from. Located opposite of Aeon Mall. We went in a group of 4 but splitting of bill is not allowed so we had to take note of which sushi we ordered. Staff couldn't really understand English well but overall a good place...
