Small rooms (even for Japan), and our bathroom drain was clogged when we arrived. Pillows were uncomfortable and you can clearly hear the trains from the neighboring station all night. Staff had poor English if that kind of thing is important for you. Would not stay here again.

Not my cup of tea... Room is way too small, difficult to move inside and to open a small suitcase. The price is on the high side for this class of hotel, not worth. The automated check-in is way too complicated and takes too much time. I wonder why they can't do it with paper and pen like all the other hotels do. Besides, there were at least 5 clerk troubleshooting/supporting customers to use the automated check-in. I think they would be less busy by just doing the check-in themselves, and the customers much happy for not having to deal with such an inefficient system, after arriving of a long journey, like I did. The room was on the 15 floor, but the train tracks behind were busy and until midnight the trains passing noise was pretty annoying.

In short, not suitable for a long stay. In full, well, where to begin... The room is ridiculously small; you'd be spending most of the time on the bed, since that's the largest space in the room. No control over room temperature on some days - frigid in the morning, too hot during the day. Bathroom smells funny. Shower head leaks like hell. Wifi is irritatingly slow. Front desk too is super slow, no matter how few guests are around. Oh, and they never pick up phone. When I go down and talk in person, they are impolite. Self check-in is half baked - confusing interface, and you go through it only to find out it can't take credit card without PIN. Unlike some other hotels, food delivery is not allowed to come to your room. They clean the room only on the 4th day of your stay, and it is mandatory. You HAVE TO leave the room, even if you are in quarantine. Few good things are that it's close to a convenience store, and cleaning staff are very helpful.

Very quick Check-In even though the hotel was very busy. The automatic check-in machines were very easy to use - it had different languages, great for tourists. I stayed for 2 nights, and didn't ask for my room to be cleaned but the cleaning staff kindly left new towels and green tea for me. Free Internet Wifi was also available and very steady for the entire duration of the stay. We also utilized the free shuttle airport bus, it was on-time, efficient and very clean. I highly recommend staying at this APA location.

The room was not really spacious, but it was clean enough and valued for money. The reason for staying this hotel was very close from Narita international airport (3 stations away)& has a public bath (dai-yokujiyou) on the 2nd floor. It was so nice soaking in the public bath after taking long international flights. Got a breakfast coupon for 1100yen. It was a buffet style and the quality of food was OK. You can try out traditional Japanese osouzai (dishes). It locates in front of Keisei Narita Station, so it is very handy, and also it is a walking distance from JR Narita Station as well.

Disgusting. Hotel management doesnā€™t care. They apologized but no refund or credit. One of the staff told me basically it is what it is because there are bushes and trees behind the building and itā€™s out of their control. I checked-in late and the room was dark so I didnā€™t realize that I was sleeping under all these small bugs until at 1am, I felt something dropped on my face. I thought it was a drop of water from the AC vent above me. Then saw all these small bugs on the ceiling. I couldnā€™t go back to sleep of course and the room is too small that there is no space to be other than on the bed.

This is a review for foreign tourists. Mainly just a layover hotel and business hotel, great value. If you are a tourist with lots of luggage and trying to squeeze two people into a room, you may want to get a bigger room. It is like playing Tetris because you just have to move your luggage around the room just to open it. šŸ˜‚ However, it is a standard room for urban Japan. Really small room, but functional. But lots of little great stuff come with room makes it a great value. The staff is really great and helpful, but limited English speakers, so you may have to use a translation app. Location is great, just downstairs from KS Narita station. Close to a good tourist shopping/restaurant/bar area and nice temple, but is kind of a ghost town on weekdays as many stores/restaurants were closed. I'm sure weekends are much Lawson store downstairs. AEON mall and grocery store 10 min walk. AEON grocery has great pre-made grab-and-go meals. Here are the things I really like that come with the room. It has a free breakfast included. Free shuttle bus to Narita. Free hygiene products, slippers, bottle water, beer/beverage machine on the floor, etc. Impeccably clean. Best pillows I have had in any room ever. That is a big statement, but never tried pillows like this. I really like firm supportive pillows and they have two different advanced supportive pillows. One is a Japanese buckwheat pillow and the second is some special advanced foam celled pillow. Both costs around $100 USD and you can buy it. While it is just a small standard room, lots of great things come with the room.

This hotel is the definition of a shabby hotel First and foremost this ā€œAPA Hotelā€ has many franchises and I have visited others and they were good however, this particular franchise was disgusting beyond explanation. When I entered the hotel no one greeted me or even try to assist me. I was looking around to see what I should do as there were monitors that other guests seems to be using and there were counters i assumed to be check in or like an information counter where people were. I had to wait a little for someone to even acknowledge me. The hotel lobby was not full and there was probably 2-3 guests and 1 of the guests were a group of 4 people. A lady saw me and raised her hand, I took it that she was someone how gesturing that I should go to her. She did not get me and said welcome or anything whatsoever. When I went to her she asked for my passport in an unpleasant and not friendly manner. In Japan you will be asked to show your passport at the check in counter of a hotel if you are a foreigner. I am Japanese however, I am mixed so I donā€™t entirely look Japanese. I asked why do I need to show my passport and she said EVERYONE needs to show their passport upon checking in. I said to her that is the first time I have ever heard such thing. I said to her I have checked in many hotels in Japan and all I had to do was fill out an arrival form. She then asked me ā€œare you from Japan?ā€ Which I responded to ā€œYesā€. Please note all the conversation was in Japanese. She then said I should enter my name and in the mean time she would like to see my ā€œZairiyu cardā€ which is a residence card for foreigners who live in Japan. When she asked about the foreign residency card I annoyingly responded to her repeating that ā€œI am Japaneseā€. At this point I was frustrated because in Japan it is rude to mistake Japanese for foreign national by asking for a foreign residency card and I told her from the initial stage that I am from Japan so her follow up response should not have been to ask for a foreign residency card because common sense can tell that if a person say they are from Japan they would have a Japanese Identification card so to ask for a foreign residency card was rude. Now this happens to me time to time when I need to prove my identity but the difference with this instance and the other is that the person who made such mistake would apologise however, she did not apologise to me and she kept on speaking to me in a very annoyed tone which is very rude as I grew up in Japan and I know the customer service standard in japan and she failed terribly. I proceeded to complete the checkin and she said I should go to my room. My room was on the 11th floor and upon arrival of the 11th floor I noticed used sheets and towels were scattered at the front of the rooms that the cleaning staff were cleaning. I have never seen an isle as messy as this one ever in my life. I entered the room and noticed stained wall and unpleasant scent of the room. I called the front desk to ask about the name of the agent who assisted me with check in however, the gentleman who answered the phone hurriedly spoke and said that there are many female staff here so I should go down and check who it was and disconnected the call which I found rude. One of the many agitation was the room. I donā€™t know what it was but there was a noise coming from the roof. The sound was similar to a train going over a railing at a very high speed. This sound was so frequent. I honestly canā€™t get an accurate timeframe but it was approximately 45 seconds in every 20 minutes and it was so frustrating that I could not sleep. I had very bad headache and I contemplated on contacting the front desk but because I was so frustrated by the customer service of the staff at the hotel I chose not to call as i did not want to get angry again. The wifi speed was slow but useable. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel doesnā€™t even deserve 1 star until they give their staff customer service training. They were rude and unapproachable and I will not recommend this hotel.

I stayed in Room 1015 when I arrived , and I get bedbugs all my body, After I bring my complain to front desk they asked me if I want to change my room, well hellooo of course you have to change my room, however after entering to new room 1319 I see long black hair on the bed, a dust everywhere, they donā€™t bother themselves to at least check and supervise the rooms specially for entering the guest who complained.shampoos bottles are dirty and look like no one clean them.plus the rooms are supper small there is a entering door and bed thatā€™s it. I did not received any follow up from their team, and Iā€™m struggling with so many spots on my body with bedbugs . Such a shame

I stayed there during 25 sept To 10 October. Location of this hotel is perfect. Parking is available. I love APA HOTEL as they have chains/ franchise all over Japan. This hotel was expensive during my stay, approx. 7k/ day. Good breakfast but I wish they have more veg options, bread, icecream etc. Breakfast in room should be available during pandemic. One of the staff did not give me full membership points during my stay, and she did not give me the reason also (that was not pleasant)! Public bath (sento) available at 2nd floor! Overall, it was decent stay! Best of luck if you are staying there!

Fantastic place to stay if you don't want to rush from Narita airport or if you want to spend the last night before catching a flight. The hotel is less than 5 walk minutes from the train station, has a few very good restaurant around, the Narita's Shrine is beautiful and takes you to a walk through the ancient street, with souvenirs and timy boutiques.

Very clean and friendly service. I consider APA a great modern Japanese culture experience. But Americans beware rooms are small - really a worker hotel. Being near to the stations very convenient.

Iā€™m happy I stayed here! Itā€™s a no-fuss place that is easily accessible from narita airport. Itā€™s got complete amenities for the budget traveler. Breakfast was included and there were western and Asian options. I stayed in a smoking room but it didnā€™t smell like smoke. Itā€™s close to the shopping areas and convenience stores. Staff are very nice and helpful!

Just an extremely bad experience. We were tired because our plane arrived late and we had to sleep in Narita, so we checked booking online and it said Ā„5800 on the application. We were hesitant to book online though because we were uncertain about how it worked with check in after midnight. Either way we went inside and when we asked for the room the price he quoted was Ā„10000 exactly. We were tired and disappointed so we accepted it without any fuss. Naturally the room was a smoking room and smelled and looked like you would expect. It was a terrible experience and I just wished they would have been kind to us and given us the room to a cheap price since it was long after midnight and we were gonna leave in the morning. Nobody else would come and book it for sure at that time, so I really donā€™t get the insanely high price. I donā€™t recommend staying here for the greediness and unfair treatment.

For starters, our travel agency booked the room months ago and they told them we were non-smokers, but when we arrived they located us in a smokers room. We, then, tried them to change our room and they told us they were full and it was not possible. How come? The room was booked months ago! Secondly, the room was quite dirty. I've lost one of my flip flops under a bed and when I tried to get it back I've realised it was super dirty under the bed, as if they didn't clean it for months. Also walls were quite dirty and yellowish and the door frame of the bathroom had stains. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

I arrived at Narita airport few days ago (2023.04). I drove my rental car to APA easily. There were several parking garages near by, ranged 500Y to 600Y a day (parking in APA was much more expensive). Location of this hotel is great. Trains are available here. You will run into many commuters/students in the morning. Breakfast, on the other hand, did not surprise me much. I guess not many foreign visitors here, so it was mainly Japan-style food. Most of all, I very much enjoyed the walk all the way to the famous temple (Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and the park) which was only about 20 min away.

The hotel is easy to find. A lot of the restaurants are within walking distance. The room is not spacious by any mean but itā€™s the right size for one person stay. The only thing that I recommend you should consider is that the hotel is right to the train track and so youā€™ll hear the train passing by and the bell of the station.

The room was a bit small even for Japan but it was very clean and nice. I loved the location, and the staff were super friendly and helpful every time I had to interact with them. I would likely stay there again in the future for a night, but if you plan to stay several nights, you might want to find a place with a bigger room. The city of Narita was very nice and I really enjoyed my time there.

Small room comfortable for 1 person Clean room Close to train station Low budget at the hallway you can hear another guests speaking in they own room air conditioner can't adjust mode by myself have only 2 choice turn off or turn on Aircon when we get over heat in the room

  • 2/5 Koncho D. 4 months ago on Google
very hot room. much hotter in the room than in the common areas. This is when it is under 10 degrees C outside, a mild autumn night no need to blast heat and indeed clearly the hotel didn't want it that hot in the corridors or lobby. Speaking to the front desk they said the Aircon is set across the whole hotel and I cannot change it. They suggested opening a window which was fine until bedtime. However at bedtime I had to shut the window because of the train noise and even with Aircon off it still got uncomfortably hot very quickly. The Aircon was set to heat rather than to cool so it was better to leave it off. A terrible night and nothing the staff could do to help except open a window to a very noisy street and station!! The Rest of the hotel is fine, good even, but basically you book a hotel to sleep and while in extremes of weather they may be unable to provide a reasonable temperature they should be able to provide a comfortable stay in autumn. It's not just me my wife who likes things toasty also has found it difficult to sleep. ...As it is I'm writing this review naked on my bed splashing iced water on me from time to time!

Would 100% book again if im ever in japan again! They provided a shuttle to narita airport and the staff was extremely nice. They let me keep my luggage before check-in time which was a huge help!

I arrived late into Narita so I just wanted to stay close to the hotel and start my day early the next day. It's only one stop from the airport and very convenient to the train. Great value.

The workers were clearly very stressed and overworked. They need retraining and a rooms inspector. I rode down the elevator from the 15th floor with a linens employee. He freaked out when some children speaking Chinese didn't move because they didn't know Japanese so they thought everyone going to the second floor had gotten out and pressed the close button. He shoved one boy's suitcase into the boy. It was terrible. The children seemed to blame themselves. These were very respectful boys who I had seen being helpful on the elevator before. His rudeness was completely uncalled for. The room was dirty. There was trash under the bed: bottles, pieces of food, something that was either a tissue or a plastic bag (I don't know which because I didn't touch it), and a toy. I had trouble sleeping after all this. I am writing this as a review because of automated check-out.

It was an old hotel in south from hamamatsu station. The wall was thin as I could hear neighbors voice. But the location was convenient to access to town. And it was cheap.
