If you look at my other reviews you will see I am usually not overly picky when it comes to cleanliness, but this place was particularly egregious, especially for Japan. I can understand extant stains being difficult to get rid of and the age of a property affecting its look, but this property had stains that I was able to remove with a wet tissue, suggesting that their cleaning is either disturbingly inadequate, or they are indifferent. The location is also not as convenient as a map may lead you to believe; with shuttles running only 30 minutes and located 15 minutes from the airport, there are numerous better options. Highly recommended if you enjoy identifying different types of mold

Here is an advice for all the travelers out there: if you book this hotel, I guarantee that it will be the beginning of your disaster. There were cockroaches in the hotel room, and when I communicated this to the staff, they did not provide me with a proper solution. They gave me a new room, but it also had cockroaches in it, so I decided not to change the room and continued to stay there. However, the attitude of the staff made me feel very uncomfortable. I did not see any willingness on their part to solve the problem. They were just trying to shift the blame, which is very unbelievable in Japan. I sincerely advise other travelers if you want to start a good journey dont choose this hotel .

Love the prompt service of the staff. However, the room noise cancellation is pretty bad. Been hearing people trying to open my door or neighbors opening theirs. Got me jumping out of the bed a few times even though I know I've locked my door perfectly secured.

The bedroom was quite spacious and mattress really comfortable. The sound proofed room was quiet during the night ( I did heard people open or close doors though). Highly recommend soaking yourself in the hot spring, it’s the best thing to relax and make the skin shiny and smooth. shuttle bus to the airport and Narita city was really convenient. Also, the small shop in the 2F floor is a good place to grab snacks and light meal for reasonable prices. I definitely would come back again on my next trip

A tale of 2 cities 🏙️ Booked the room via Expedia and if I told you how much I got it, you would be hiring me as your travel agent. Unfortunately for me, I had a busy day and couldn’t get a ticket on the Narita Express and took the local lines. So, I was 15+ mins late to the last shuttle bus and ended up taking a cab for 2500 yen. I checked in the nice reception area quickly to get my room and she said I would be placed in the Garden Wing. I had a feeling the Wing wouldn’t be the “best” wing given the reviews I read and also since I paid so little for it. I was right. As you’ll see in my photos, it was quote than outdated. While the typical functional rooms of Japan are ok like Tokyo Inn, these were a different class. They were basically the type of rooms that were barely passing the Japanese health inspectors grades - maybe as a result of some hush money or Japanese style room salons? Regardless, it did the trick and I didn’t have to rush to the airport from 2 hours+ away and leisurely mozied over to the airport instead. The shuttle bus at 10:10a on Thursday wasn’t as busy as the front desk lady warned me about, but it never hurts to be early. When I said it “did the trick”, this is what it did: -decent beds - could almost say they might be decent western standard beds -typical functional bathrooms including a bidet -very high pressure water -two nice bathrobes; typical slippers -floors looked gross, but appeared to be hygienic -tiny tv -had a bit of a smell -almost everything in the room was outdated -and the wing felt like it was from the 1970s - which surprisingly made it feel worse; same with the elevators - you could see the difference in the main wing The restaurants and onsen seemed like they were modern - at least the restaurant since you could see that. The onsen is harder to prove its been updated. Some of the shared public amenities looked relatively updated, but some of it also seemed from the 1970s. The morning after I checked out the main wing of rooms and you could see how remodeled it looked on that side. You also could see Japanese guests come out from those rooms and other nationalities (to be unnamed) come from the Garden Wing. The Japanese know quality. It doesn’t mean all of them deliver on that though haha - especially when others are trying to get value. The shuttle bus is shared with ANA Crowne Plaza. The hotel is owned by the Mystay corporation I believe.

Great! Only negative was that there was a cockroach in one room, which sounds terrible but the rest of the experience overshadowed that. The shuttle was on time and quick, location is close to the airport. I had accidentally booked us two rooms in two different buildings, but reception graciously found us rooms close to each other. The rooms were large and well equipped, and the breakfast was delicious.

We chose to spend our last night in Japan here, what an absolute mistake. We stayed in the garden wing on the 2nd floor. The Onsen was amazing and the family loved it (the reason we chose the hotel). That was the high point. The lows. The room stunk of mold the bathroom door was warped and stained. Another guests hair all over the floor. We had 4 people, got 2 tooth brushes and 2 towels and 3 pillows. Staff were good, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. So many choices in this area. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible. Do not stay here. Pros: the location near the airport and access to a shuttle is great. The lobby was beautiful however the room was very dirty. Cons: Stains on the carpet, door, bathroom sink and walls. Visible mold in the bathroom. Also the air conditioner seemed to have never been cleaned. Would not recommend even for the price.

After missing my flight at the airport, I found this hotel online to spend a night. I got a last minute great deal with free access to natural hot springs located in the hotel!! They also provide free shuttle service and check in was very smooth. Although the room was quite outdated, they were really trying to upgrade the hotel itself by renovating restaurants and spa area etc.. 😊

Only good things are - Close to the airport & has a Japanese bath- service. Way below the standard of cleanliness I’ve come to know in Japan. My room had was out dated, had dirty walls, and flies. - would not recommend staying here.

I have read the reviews and already prepared for the worst since there are so many mixed reviews. However, I was wrong, the rooms are new and clean and the bathroom is clean as well. The receptionists were very helpful. I did not try their breakfast since I checked out early in the morning. Overall, I had a nice stay.

Do NOT choose this hotel for the HOT SPRING. Because it will be charged 700 yen extra on your room. It is not included in the price. THIS IS A TRAP! There are cheaper and larger hotels near the airport that have a large bath or even swimming pool, naturally as part of your stay. But this hotel lures customers with the "real hot spring" title just to charge them to actually have access to it. And it is not even an exciting fancy hotspring, there are just 3 boring baths for women and one for men. What a shame, I read all the bad reviews regarding cockroaches in the room but still chose this hotel for the hotspring relaxation that I so much needed after the stress of missing the flight at the nearby airport. Instead, the bad experience continues at Art Hotel. What I'm really sorry is that there were nearby two other beautiful looking hotels, cheaper and with similar public bath facilities that I was considering but I chose the wrong one! Also they charge you extra to check in before 3pm, 2000 yen for one hour! Other hotels offer to clients the rooms as soon as they are ready but here they make money out of it and the bland onsen. Oh, and their gym is Members only! Also this is out in nowhere! there are zero shops and restaurants near it! We had to spend a long time to take their shuttle bus all the way to the Narita Airport and back to buy some food! Their convenience store opens only at 5 pm. The hotel was renewed recently and visually is ok but what a big negative is the greedy management trying to squeeze customer of money at every step. If the front desk staff would have mentioned to me that the Hot Spring is at extra cost I would have walked out right away. The big Marroads Hotel would have been 1500 yen cheaper and has free spa. A pity for the poor staffers at Art Hotel who try to smile and do their job but are ruined by bad management at the top. Please have a laugh and go elsewhere!

I’ve stayed in quite many hotels in Japan, but this one is the worst. Unfortunately I made the mistake by not reading the reviews here, because I was in a hurry to book a room for the night. When you stand in front of this hotel and at the lobby you’ll think what a fancy place, but it is a lie. Well, I stupidly thought “garden wing” was going to be nice and it obviously looked nice on the pictures. But in reality it was a disaster, everything was dirty and very outdated! I needed to wear my slippers all the time, was scared to walk barefoot on the floor. Somehow the room had a very unpleasant smell, it was uncomfortable to breath. I’ve never had to pay for an onsen in a hotel before, but this place will charge you 700 yen! I couldn’t wait to leave this place and checked-out at 7:30 am.

Free airport shuttle. Rooms were hot, and there was no way to change the temperature. Rooms a little dirty. Fast internet! Dinning options are nice but pricey compared to the rest of Japan.

I Random picked from the QF Frequent flyer app and was indeed a good one. You can save money from the shuttle bus provided by the hotel. I am a Cabin Crew, so airport merchandise and some food outlets I get discount with a Flash of my ID. The rooms are tiny, but the service is spectacular at this place. There is also an Onsen or Massage package you can choose from without leaving the building with good prices.

Stayed here for a night. Overall I recommend it. People in the review said this hotel wasn’t really good, but in my opinion, it was clean and comfortable. I didn’t visit the garden area which some people in review complained, so I suggest the main area. The only thing bad was bathroom smelled like pee for some reason.

Worthwhile stat if you are getting in on a late flight and cant be bothered fighting the train network until the morning. Rooms are alittle dated but not bad quality and layout of the hotel easy to navigate. Agian worth the booking.

Fantastic room in a beautiful hotel located near narita airport! There’s a free shuttle bus to the airport available for hotel guests. The rooms are spotlessly clean with all the ammenities that you may need. Upon entering we were surprised by the yukata 👘 that was waiting for us on the bed. It is so comfy during the night. Price was amazing if you consider we booked on the day!

I stayed here because my arrival flight was 8 pm. They have shuttle bus between airport and hotel for free. My room was in the old wing that needed to use elevator to go down. The walkway to the room was very old. My room was decent and clean. The shower area is in the bathtub that can be noisy when you move your feet. The onsen is good enough for paying 600 yen(use coupon for re-entry in the morning if you want).

I have prepare for the worst since I look at review in gmaps and I'm going here with my friends. but turn out everything okay and even better, the amenities are very complete, there is air spray for the room, everything complete. also, there is small convenience store. however, there is only instant ramen. so you need to prepare food for you before getting to this hotel. we also can get free shuttle bus from and to Narita Airport and Hotel 1. from the airport you can wait in Terminal 1/Terminal 2&3 (since its very near) 2. wait at no. 27, there will be schedule bus. however, the bus not only for Art Hotel but also Ana Hotel 3. while you arrived at Hotel and check-in, recepsionist will give you bus schedule. so you can go whenever you need

Very good price for a hotel near the airport. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are okay. The breakfast is a must if you're planning on staying here. The food was very good! For the price of this hotel and all they have to offer it's a great place to stay!

Excellent room with good experienced staff...Having a pleasant stay currently but being a 3-star hotel they are not providind mineral water to drink and we are having tap water instead...So needs to improve in this else would have rated 5 star...

They had a desktop and a printer. The services are paid but its good to print your boarding pass and new documents which airlines require. Their bus did not drop us to the airport and the breakfast is more expensive compared to the airport.

My 2-week extended stay was very pleasant. The room was not large but adequate and very clean and comfortable. Restaurant buffets were excellent and really good value for such high quality. The hotel personnel and service were friendly and always highly professional. I certainly admired the Peace Pagoda in Narita, love the nature trails behind the hotel, and hiking to and along the Tokko River across the highway to the north. It's easy getting to-and-from the airport and into Narita.

I love our room was clean and spacious and I felt very comfortable. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. Just be aware that this time the hotel don't have shuttle bus. I think is for the covid-19 . But besides that I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Thank you

Hotel staff at the lobby were there to greet you and assist with anything. Check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were spacious and clean. Just note that if you want to use the onsen public bath it will cost about $7 which at most other hotels would be included in the stay.

This hotel is situated a few kilometers away from Narita International Airport. The building was old but the facilities were pretty good. He upgraded the room to a large room on the top floor for free. It was good that the room was large, but due to the old hotel, the temperature of the room could not be adjusted because it was not individually air-conditioned. Therefore, it was cold. I have two fun. One is a hot spring. Both the open-air bath and the sauna were good. The other is a steak lunch. The steak was delicious. However, there are two problems. One cannot be eaten until 8 pm. I want you to do it a little sooner. The second is that the special dishes are very cold. All rice and steak. If the front staff told me a word when handing it over, I could heat it in the microwave. Hot dishes are better than cold steaks and cold rice. It was very disappointing. For breakfast, I chose Japanese porridge. It was a very satisfying breakfast. The salad and mapo tofu that you can eat freely are even more delicious. Again, it was a pity that "Bento" was cold. At checkout, the staff were talking to each other, and no one saw them or thanked them. I thought it was a disappointing staff.

We needed a last minute place to stay close to the airport and Art Hotel was perfect! It was an easy taxi from Narita, smooth check in and the room was perfect for our family. Everything was above our expectations 😊

Next to nothing, on-site shop and restaurants all closed during the day and only open on a evening. Rooms are iverly hot with a poor ac colonv system. A walk over to my stays a competitor's hotel is required to use their onside shop.

It was good to deal but the hotel was so old. I was excited to the onsen. But I thought include the booking. The onsen is 700 yen. Still cheap. The good things is they have an exchange money machine and convenience store. And breakfast was good.

Excellent prices, fantastic location, shuttle to airport, easy walk to the city core or the JR Station, incredibly convenient. Good service. Won't break the bank. Highly recommend attending an official tea ceremony or visiting Narita temple nearby

Very affordable hotel $40 for sucha nice hotel. But i booked it thnkng there is a shuttle bus to and from the airport. Cost me more than $20 to take a taxi from the airport. And the shuttle bus to the train station is not until 10am so just defeated the purpose of me trying to save from taxi. I needed a shuttle bus to the train earlier than 10a
