It's a very beautiful place. A very small town with pretty much one hotel to stay at. The hotel is a converted military barracks. The walls of the rooms are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbors. Other than that, the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant upstairs of the lobby is great! They have different meals made with local ingredients. The muskox was excellent. The buffet of the local foods was tasty and interesting. There are beautiful hiking trails in the area. There is a tourism company called blue ice that can set you up with tours, bicycles, fishing poles, pretty much anything you need.

Very nice hotel, café and restaurant. On Mondays from 18-21 the restaurant serves a delicious local buffet with musk ox, clams, many types of fish, lamb, whale, snow crab as well as cake and desserts made with the local herb "kvan". Other days the restaurant serves a la carte. The café serves mostly fast food. The hotel is handicap friendly and very welcoming.

Excellent hotel for the place. Wifi has to be paid to the reception but not to expensive. Very close to the aiport and the shore. Perfect place to watch the iceberg. The restaurant is really good, now upstair. The chef is amazing, she is from the town, enjoying cooking with her family very good local food.

Hard to rate the hotel vs the restaurant so the stars are for the restaurant. Chef Kunuk Grønvold is phenomenal. All his recommendations—Our starter was a Minke whale tataki, dried seal, apple, blubber and Rye bread croutons. Our main course was delicious best lamb in the planet and a biscuit with buttercream, angelica and and a meringue with a lime ice on top. A “burnt” brioche bread to top of off. Highly recommend. The hotel is a 2 star. Built long ago and definitely needs a remodel, but with 130 people living here and not as many tourists as let’s say, Iceland, it’s fine for the night.

The food was good and the service nice. It is just too bad that most of the time there isn't half of what the menu offer
