Ramkund A holy place in nashik. Located in panchavati region. Its the same place were Lord Rama had done visarjan of his father asthis ( I.e Raja Dashrath) . And after this that kund got named as RAMKUND. Lots of people all over from India come here to perform the same ritual of there ancestors . Many purohits are availabe here who guides people through this ritual in exchange of dakshina. Also here one can find there past ancestors name (generation tree) if possible. Laxmanji kund and Sitamata kund is also here. Various temples are located in this region and one can find a unique KAPALESHWAR MAHADEV MANDIR; near to this place.

Ramkund The most important place in Panchavati is Ramkund. It is so called because Lord Rama is believed to have taken bath there. The Ram Kund area has several temples like the Sundara Narayana Temple, the Naro Shankara Mandir and the Kapaleshwara temple. Ram Kund is also called Asthi Vilaya Tirtha, which dissolves the bones dead fropped into it. During Kumbhmela the famous Kumbh Snan / bath is supposed to happen here in PAVITRA RAMKUND. Ramkund Hundreds of pilgrims arrive here to take a holy dip at the ‘Ramkund’ in the river Godavari, which is considered the ‘Ganges of the south’. Ramkund is the spot where the river Godavari turns to right at an angle of 90 degrees and gains importance, as Lord Ram is said to have taken his daily bath here, during his stay at Nashik. Ram Kund is also where hindus perform the last rite of their dead.

Best ritual and historic place. Ramkund is situated in Centre of Nasik city called( Punchvati). At this place there are so many temples along with if you visit this place in monsoon season you'll get to see waterfall under a different ways. Godavari river passes through Ramkund. And most of people come to visit for their Hinduism rituals. Also here are steps on which you can sit and enjoy the evening. Just near by the temple there are so many temples are there and you can get easy transportation for any next destination. Main market is just 1km far from this place called (Shalimar Market Nashik city). Where you can buy thing on such cheap rates

The Godavari River at Panchavati is a temple complex in Nashik, an ancient holy city in Maharashtra state in western India. Lord Rama was thought to have bathed at Ram Kund water reservoir, today attended by Hindu devotees and tourists. The Godavari is India's second longest river.

Ram Kund Nashik is the spiritual tank built-in 1696. The aborigine state of Lord Rama and his wife Sita used this tank for a bath during the years of separation. A dip in this holy kund is considered very precious. During Kumbha Mela 1000’s of Saints, holy men and millions of devotees immerse in the holy Kund and Kushavarta Lake. Ram Kund is also called as Asthi Vilaya Teertha. Ramkund Timings: 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Best time to visit is early morning and sunset. Ramkund is located along the bank of Godavari River. This place is situated at a distance of 2 km from Central Bus stand. This is the holiest spot in Nashik as it is believed to be the place where Lord Rama used to bathe. It contains the bone dissolving Asthivilaya Tirth. It was built by Chitrarao Khatav, a landholder of Khatav in Satara in 1696havrao and was repaired by Gopikabai, the mother of Madhavrao the fourth Peshva. Peoples bring ashes of their deceased relatives and immerse it in Asthivilay kund. Ashes of big personalities like Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Y B Chavan and others had been immersed at Ramkund

The ancient banyan trees and temples nearby contribute to the cultural tapestry. **Cultural Hub:** - **Local Life:** The area around Ramkund is a hub of local life. Interacting with the friendly locals and observing their daily rituals adds a cultural dimension to the visit. **Cleanliness and Maintenance:** - **Well-Maintained:** Ramkund is well-maintained, and efforts are evident to keep the surroundings clean. This place is historical . Ram Kund Ghat is the place where kumbh mela held every 12 years. Ramkund is a sacred bathing ghat on the banks of river Godavari, and Lord Ram have taken bath here during his 14 years exile period. Basically it is a small pond and triveni sangam of three river - Varuni, Tharuni and Godavari. Water is stagnant and dirty as lots of people taking holy dip in the pond.

Holy land for the believers of Ramayana, Panchvati attracts a lot of pilgrims. A serene town located near Nasik, the site offers small sightings having a lot of significance in the epic of Ramayana. Given the legend of Panchvati, the place holds a lot of religious significance even in the present day. Sites such as the Kalaram Temple and the Sita Gufaa are on every pilgrims list. The Kumbh Mela takes place on the river banks of Godavari, and has a surplus of pilgrims from every corner of world during the occasion. The city of Nasik has great significance in Hindu religion, and Panchvati has its own share of legends associated with it. It is believed that when Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman went into exile for 14 years, they made Panchavati their home. The word literally means 'Garden of Five Banyan Trees'. The trees can still be seen in the temple premises near Sita Gufaa and are believed to have existed even during the times of Ramayana.

I visited this place today. I observed Nashik municipal corporation needs urgent attention towards this place. Because no one is checking the cleaning of this place. This is a historic place and hence attracts tourists. But this place is in no condition to welcome guests, rather it's filled with stink and smell and filth. The river flowing alongside has become a gutter and needs urgent revamp. So I request to municipal corporation to check regular cleaning and maintenance of this historic place

One of the sacred places, this is a good place to visit if one wants to have a quiet time near the river. The ghats are a little unkept. But one will definitely enjoy a stroll here. A beautiful statue of Hanumanji adds colour to this place. There are small old temples which add to the religious colour to this place.

I recently experienced the excellent facilities and infrastructure at this place. However, my main concern revolves around the charges imposed by the Gurji for performing rituals. It would be beneficial to have transparent, standardized fees or a centralized agency to regulate charges, preventing emotional manipulation. Overall, a positive experience with room for improvement in pricing transparency.

You wouldn't believe the eerie silence this place had because of lockdown, which is otherwise jam packed during Pitru Paksha! Had a peaceful experience on the banks of Godavari where our group had come to conclude the final rites of our friend. Two temples are an absolute must visit: The Surya Aditya Temple which is more than 500 years old and the Kashi Vishweshwar temple (in the pic) which is more than 300 years old are architectural masterpieces.

The place is nice and one feels elated in the vibes of Panchavati. 2 stars are given because the place is not maintained properly by the local governing body. The river and the ghat is extremely unclean with lots of harmful pollutants lying around. Local governing body needs to pay attention to maintain this beautiful place in order to keep its sanctity intact.

There is a lot of improvement with regards to facilities & cleanliness. The name of this place is derived from the belief that Lord Ram used to bath in the sacred kund, a large pond, along the course of the Godavari in the Panchavati area. Ram is also said to have performed the funeral rites for his father, Dashrath, the king of Ayodhya, here before immersing the ashes in the kund.Peoples bring ashes of their deceased relatives and immerse it in Asthivilay kund. Ashes of big personalities like Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Y B Chavan and others had been immersed at Ramkund.Ramkund is a sacred bathing ghat on the bank of the Godavari river, which becomes the venue to host the spectacular Kumbh Mela. Centrally located, and the focal point of Nashik,  Ramkund sees hundreds of Hindu pilgrims arriving daily to bathe, and pray.

Ram kund is situated in Nashik, Panchvati area this place is very important for all human kind as per the Hindu scripture because Lord Rama in his Vanvasa has visited this sacred place. This place is situated on the west banks of godavari river. Kapaleshvar temple is just 2 minutes away from Ramkund. One of the oldest shiva temple. How to reach here... If you planning to reach nashik by train so you can easily get Bus, ola Taxi and Auto from outside Nashik Road station for Ramkund Nashik. If you traveling by road then from Dwarka circle it will just take 10 mins to reach Ramkun Panchavati

You will feel the presence of Bhagwan Shree Ram, Mata Sita, Laxman ji and Hanuman ji. 🙏 Just a dip in the river, even sitting on the ghats seeing it flow or just absorbing the sounds can sooth your mind body and soul. All the old temples on the ghat are just amazing. You can have a chat pata bhel and just enjoy the taste on the ghat. Also there are many beautiful and old temples of Shree Rama in the surrounding area we can easily find them by asking the people around.

The Ramkund is a sacred pond on the banks of the river Godavari in Nashik. Here the river Godavari takes a 90 degree bend. It is believed the Shri Ram took his bath daily at this place. It is in the middle of Nashik city.

Ramkund Nashik is a truly remarkable place that holds immense spiritual and cultural significance in India. Located in the city of Nashik in Maharashtra, Ramkund is a holy bathing ghat on the banks of the sacred Godavari river. It is believed that Lord Rama himself took a dip in this holy water during his exile, which makes it a highly revered site for Hindus. Every day, thousands of pilgrims visit Ramkund to take a dip in its holy waters and offer prayers. The serene surroundings and the spiritual atmosphere of this place create a peaceful and calming effect on the mind, and the sheer number of devotees that gather here make it a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Ramkund Nashik is undoubtedly a gem of Maharashtra and an important pilgrimage site for millions of people around the world.
