Someshwar waterfall is on the Godavari river just after the Gangapur water dam, so whenever the water is released from the dam, this water fall flows. The area surrounding the waterfall is very slippery, so we need to take care. Also, we need to take care of kids as water flows with force. We can also enjoy boating there and Holly Someshwar Temple is situated at the bank of the River. The place is around 15 km from the Nashik bus stand and 30 km from the railway station. We can reach the place by Taxi or City bus which is running to Gangapur gaon.

It's really small waterfall. Not an interesting place to visit purposefully. Visited this place in August with expectations but lol it's like spam thing. Won't suggest to visit this you'll not enjoy for sure. You can't go under the water falling because it's too speedy and slippery. Place is also dirty.

Loved the serenity but the water seems to be polluted so didn't feel like dipping my feet or hands into it and relaxing.. but anyways.. the visuals were stunning even in June. Imagine what it must become in monsoon.

Normal waterfall, not like west Maharashtra's waterfalls, Peaceful place. Stairs are there to reach at the bottom. Nest time to visit- July end and August, September. 24hrs open, you can visit at your convenient time. One God Balaji temple is near to this place and one garden is also there. Best place to visit with the family

Someshwar water fall is one of the tourist attraction in Nashik city. Big beautiful garden for kids and seating. Even good for jog in the morning and evening. The beautiful Someshwar temple & Balaji mandir are two temples connected to the flow of this waterfall. All age of groups people comes here on weekend. Water little bit dirty comes here. Selfie point of view risky from top of the waterfall so be carefully with friends and family.

This is one of the most visited picnic spots nearby Nashik. As it is close to city and easily accessible by any transportation anyone visits here on any random free day. Also in rainy season when the rive Godavari is flowing with full capacity, The view of this waterfall turns completely massive looking, beautiful and frightening at the same time. It even looks like a miniature version of Niagara falls which could be seen only in monsoons. Rest of the days it's just a not really good and unpleasant waterfall because of dirty water.

One of the most stunning waterfalls I've ever seen.  Despite the fact that the Someshwar waterfall is quite small in comparison to other waterfalls, it is a very peaceful and relaxing place to visit. I recommend visiting this location between 3 and 4 p.m. on a weekday when there are fewer people and also the weather is pleasant. The cold breeze is well worth the trip down the stairs to the bottom of the waterfall. The tea being sold near the waterfall wasn't very good.

A good place to spend with family. Best season to visit is during monsoon. After a few rains the waterfall has a beautiful fall. There are carts to have hot corn around the area!!. One can also see the waterfall upclose by going down from an acess. Don't forget to carry umbrellas or rain wear since it rains most of the time! Good place to bring kids but be careful to not go too close! Weekends are quite busier!

The waterfall is too small and not a worth visit. Most of the people you will see there fishing. If you have time and nothing to do then only I will suggest visiting this place otherwise waste of time and money.

Good one, it has to be flowing to be spectacular. Unlike any other Indian tourism place, people have made it dirty, throwing litter all around. Just there, you can also go to the Balaji Temple that resembles of the Tirupati Balaji Temple. Avoid adventurous clicking of pics n selfies.

This is small waterfalls right in city of Nashik. This is not too big but how crowd behaves at such places is simply cause for accident. Very nice place. Only when water is in river it flows so visit in rainy season only. Steps carved in stone to go down upto base of waterfalls are very nice.

Someshwar water fall is one of the ancient place which has a small waterfall and there is safe place to sit as well. However inside water there is large marsh which makes the place sleepy and dangerous. Water is not safe to touch as per board placed by government

Guys this place is so cool.... But better to visit after rainfall.....like July to October....after that ....water smells a lot .....

  • 4/5 abhijeet a. 8 months ago on Google • 17 reviews
Not sure if this can be called a waterfall (like the waterfall which everyone expects), because it's so small and you can't go into the water because it's slippery. If you are going to visit the temple or a quiet and peaceful place to just spend some time, then you can go to this place. Also, one side of the bridge is dirty and the other side on which the water flows is clean. Not sure if water level rises in other seasons. Also you have to pay and park your vehicle, no free parking available.

I would say this is one of the best places to explore nearby Nashik during monsoon. Stream comes with high speed so have to be extra careful. Don't be overconfident while taking picture. You will get good view and local food items are available.

Amazing place to spend evenings and eat roasted corn 🌽 along but cleanliness maintained is zero! you’ll find puddles of rotten corn everywhere People visiting here please keep it clean! Authorities must take a note of the cleanliness

  • 2/5 Brajesh S. 2 years ago on Google
This place could've been really great if authorities maintained it little better. Right now it's filthy and can be given a miss. Must look great during monsoon though.

Excellent location specially in rainy season. You can see the waterfall at eye level. Ample parking space is available. Few quick bite like corn and tea is available around. Washrooms are available but not is very good condition.

It was so pleasant and beautiful to see a natural waterfall and spray of water drops are enjoyable. Only request is to also develop more the security of visitors and reconstruct the fencing on road too.

A must visit place for nature lovers. The view is nice here. You'll enjoy if you go with a bunch of friends. Only issue is the trash and broken trees blocking the passages i.e. the stars which you can see in some of the reviews is blocked but you can go down as there's a small way.

This place near at Balaji Temple. This waterfall is on Godavari river. This waterfall known as Someshwar waterfall. Someshwar Falls flows throughout the year. And it rains a lot in the rainy season. You can easily reach this place by rode.

  • 2/5 Ashi G. 1 year ago on Google
This place beautiful but is full of garbage every where especially corn waste. Corn vendors itself does not take care of collecting all waste. It is worth to visit this place only in monsoon after some rains.

This is a good waterfall. The flow of water is high during the rainy season. This place is worth going.. You can enjoy corns and guava from locals in this place

  • 5/5 naresh y. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome place. We went during the rains so the flow was terrific however I heard that it slows down during summers. What a view it was, a feeling of fear, excitement came together. Worth visiting if you visit nashik. Someswar temple is near by however you might struggle a bit for parking space here.

Someshwar water fall has become tourists attraction now a days as this place is very developed now, you'll get many hotels & marriage halls nearby this place. The beautiful Someshwar temple & Balaji mandir are two temples connected to the flow of this waterfall. This place is mostly crowded at weekends by people of all age groups. It is one of the best place to chill & hangout when in Nashik city.

Visited here during October. Afternoons are pretty hot and dry, considering the October heat. Surrounded by mandirs and one has to traverse a long distance from the main city to reach here. Surrounded by trees and scanty apartments. Quite peaceful. Not many shops reside here. Lo-Fi vibes.

Very beautiful and lovely waterfall located just 5-6 km from Nashik. Good spot for friends, family and couples as well. A temple of Lord Balaji is also nearby. Often flooded during monsoon. Be careful during that time, as cases of drowning have been reported. Otherwise it's a must visit place for picnics and hangouts.

Most beautiful water fall near Nashik. It's shaped like opposite of Niagara, but a tiny one. The place is very serene and beautiful. There are street vendors there so you can enjoy corn, fruits along with the soothing sound of waterfall.

A best place in Nashik to Visit, At a distance of 2 km from Someshwar Temple and 9 km from Nashik Central Bus Station, Someshwar Waterfalls is a breathtaking waterfalls situated near Gangapur on the suburbs of Nashik. Dudhsagar Waterfalls, popularly known as Someshwar Waterfalls, is one of the most favorite hangout places of Nasik. This small and beautiful waterfall is formed over the holy River Godavari. The height of the waterfall is 10 m and the place turns very picturesque during the monsoon as there is a huge water flow and also a lot more greenery around. It is a much loved picnic spot by families and preferred stop by youngsters, to spend a relaxed evening. There is also a Balaji Temple near the waterfall which is a must visit place.

So we were in Nashik of all places for our honeymoon and we looked online for places to visit First on our list was Someshwar Waterfalls Off course during the winter, there isn't a heavy flow of water, but it is also safer to reach right upto the water edge I rode my bike right to the cliff edge. Quite hot during the noon time. There was no shop around for buying any food or water. It looked quite clean with hardly any rubbish around.

This time it was not lot of water in the river. But the place was good and calm. Some spots seen at the location which seem dangerous only for kids. Not an issue for adults. It is a scenic place and captured nice photographs here. Some locations were having nice scape. Because of less crowd it was nice to explore. There are some recreational activities like boating, etc. Boating 60rs per head for a 15 min round trip.

It's always been an awesome picnic destination surrounded by scenic beauty. However some localities started making the spot commercial hotspot recently. Keep it clean guys it's nasiks tourism pride. Do your business but keep place neat & clean. Illegal parking charge collection should be stopped immediately .nasik tourism should act immediately to stop it.
