Very fond of ancient places. But nothing could be as ancient as places like Sita gufa. This is one of the biggest landmarks of Indian society. It brings you back to those times when Lord Sita visited this place during her struggling days. But there is one thing as a feedback. They have displayed our Indian map during that times. But they have added Pakistan in our territory then. In those times, it was India. So I raised this question with the sevak there, he told this is for new generation to connect. Well, new generation should learn history better than us..

Sita gufa is the cave where real sita is supposed to be dwelling when Ravana came am asking for alms. One can visit. This gave any time and the only thing to consider is it’s very claustrophobic as it is very small and one has to literally crawl or sit to enter. There is no entry charge for visiting this place inside there are idols for Lord Rama Lakshmana and Sita along with a sibling which is supposed to be used for prayers and abhishekam opposite to this. You can visit Sita Haran by paying one Rupee

Sita Gufa i.e. Cave of Sita Mata is in Panchavati area, Nashik where Sita Mata lived in Vanavas days in Ramayana times. These are one of the proofs of Ramayan where Ram Sita are actual or not. Must visit Historical places in Nashik.

The Sita Gufa, also spelt as Sita Gumpha or Sita Gupha, is an important location associated with the Ramayana, an epic tale crucial to the narrative of modern Hinduism. It essentially translates to the Cave of Sita, who was the wife of Rama, the protagonist of Ramayana and heir apparent to the throne of Ayodhya. Rama is sentenced to a 14-year exile into the jungles, and he eventually spends many years in Panchavati, a region in what is now Nashik, Maharashtra. Within this place is the Cave of Sita, where it is said that the evil king of Lanka, Ravana, kidnapped Sita. The cave today is a popular place for pilgrims who travel to Panchavati to get closer to the legend of the Ramayana. Located near the five sacred banyan trees in the area, you can enter the cave through the narrow staircase leading into it. Once inside, you will find an idol of Sita along with Rama and his brother, Lakshman. To the left, there is a cave with a Shiva Linga. Making video is not allowed here, but still I did.. We visit here with family.. . . JAI SIYARAM🙏

As the name said, its sita gufa, its not to far from panchvati, you can easily walk the streets and check local dryfruits. The sita gufa is very small in size, if you are asthametic or heart problem, then better don't go inside. You have to crawl inside the cave, go from one side and take the blessings of god and come out from other side. The place have its own history. Outside the temple you will guides which will charge 150-200 rupess, they take you to all nearby temples and explain the histroy. Best way to enjoy the all area is by walking. On panchvati yoi can find parking and the parking fees for four wheeler is 50 rupees. But the godavari river most of the time of year usually looks dirty and stinking, which not looks good for a holy river. People travels from long distance to take a dip in holy river but this time place is disappointing but overall the ppace have its own charm, you can find local fruit vendors, fish market and various type of hawkers in all nearby areas.

This is one of the main places belonging to ramayana in Nashik.Near Panchvati is the Sita Gufa, said to be the spot from where Sita was kidnapped by Ravana. . This was the place where the Rama built his abode with his brother Laxman and wife Sita when he was sent to an exile of 14 years. The caves house idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman as well as a Shivling, said to be the one Sita worshipped.

Its an ancient gufa where Goddess Sita used to stay. Its a good experience, the entry of Gufa seems small and we might feel we will not fit in but even a fat person can go through that entry its like small sections. You also get autos here who help you visit the other important places which is must visit to nashik these places are nearby. Photography is not allowed here, you have queue sometimes on the way

बहोत सुंदर ऐतिहासिक क्षेत्र हैं सीता गुफा। The Gumpha (i.e. Cave) is near the five Banyan trees in Panchavati. One can enter the cave with the help of a very narrow staircase. The cave has the idol of Shree Ram, Laxman and Sita. To the left, one can enter into the cave having the Shiva Linga. Devotees believe that Ravan kidnapped Sita from the same place A gufaa in Panchavati area of Nashik where Maa Sita & Ram believed to have stayed during their exile. Panchavati named so because of 5 banyan trees near the gufaa which still exists. SIta gufaa is not advisable for obsesity & heart patients because you have to literally squeeze yourself to enter the gufaa. It is difficult for elderly person also but with a good crawling technique one can go inside the gufaa. Sit down in floor, keep your legs in front & move with your butt & leg by taking small small steps. Nostalgic to imagine the fact that you are standing in the same place where god had stood ages ago. Kalaram temple & Ramkund are near by.

It's one of those things, where if the service isn't accomodating, the entire experience is sour. The gufa was a 2-min journey inside, exploring the carved out cave with the gods and goddesses. Overall, it's good to check this place out but it doesn't stand out as expected.

Sita Gufa.. The historical place located in Panchavati, Nashik. We reached at sita gufa on 27/12/21 in afternoon. Not too much crowded. No waiting line for entry like other places, There is a interesting thing that it has gufa (underground tunnel) situated below some meters. Only thin body shaped people's can enter into this gufa. We enjoyed that place.

Sita Gumpha is believed to be the place where Sita worshipped Lord Shiva during their exile. The cave, containing the idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshmana, can be accessible only through the help of a narrow staircase. The ancient Shivlinga still exists in the cave and is visited by large number of devotees every day. Devotees believed to be the place where Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, abducted Sita.

This was the cave where mata Sita was hidden by Shri ram before he went to hunt down asurs. He remembered this cave by the landmark that its surrounded by 5 banyan trees (vat ped) hence this place is named Panchvati. These trees are preserved since Tretayuga. I have attached some photo and video, where you can see in video the guide calling out the 5 trees one by one. This place is usually crowded as there is a queue for the devotees to enter and will usually take around an hour to 30 minutes to have the darshan.

Nestled near Panchvati in Nashik, Sita Gufa stands as a poignant testament to the events of the Ramayana. Legend has it that this cave marks the very spot where Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, was abducted by the demon king, Ravana. It holds a significant place in the epic, as it was here that Rama, along with his devoted brother Laxman and Sita, constructed their abode during the 14-year exile imposed upon them. The sacred caves of Sita Gufa enshrine idols depicting Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman, capturing the essence of their time spent in exile. Among these sacred artifacts is a Shivling, believed to be the very one worshipped by Sita herself. The spiritual ambiance of the cave resonates with the profound connection to the Ramayana narrative, making it a revered pilgrimage site for those seeking to immerse themselves in the ancient tales of devotion, love, and resilience. Sita Gufa, with its historical echoes and divine vibrations, invites visitors to step into the footsteps of Rama and Sita, experiencing the essence of their profound journey.

Devine place, very crowded. But filled with miracle. Need entire day to visit. Do not trapped in auto Toure guide, they will going to do scam in terms of showing you 12 to 14 palaces to visit but only going to show you 2 or 5 palaces. Sharing lists to visit in panchavati, use public transport. This will going to Save your money.

One time visit. Not neat place but can be visited. Please avoid buying any kind of fruits from there, they will make you lure and sell bad items. Specially Pomegranate/dry fruits. Morning before 10am of after 5pm you can go directly inside gufa without any queue. Try to go Panchvati ghat by walk if you visited without any personal vehicle. From there you can get auto/cab on valid rates. No restroom found nearby.

Legend says that mata sita lived in this cave for some time. Place of entry is narrow but well vantilated. If you fear closed places then this is also not for you. Very obese people please avoid. There is a que in place and generally its not very crowded. If having any medical issues also then avoid. Otherwise once inside their was no issues. Had to crawl for some time for around ten feet. Inside the cave the idol is really great. Must go if you can go.

Sita Gumpha or Sita Gufaa is situated in Panchavati area of Nashik. It is one of the top pilgrimage places to visit in Nashik. Outside the cave is a large grove of 5 very old Banyan trees, after which the area is named, Panchavati means 'a garden of five banyan trees'. These trees are said to have been there during the exile of Lord Rama. There is a place called Tapovan where Lakshmana, the brother of Rama, cut off the nose of Surpanakha, the sister of Ravana. The entire Aranya Kanda of Ramayana is set in Panchavati.
