It's very Nice and beautiful Bird Sanctuary surrounded with a beautiful nature in Maharashtra. I would suggest everyone should see it once or as per their convenience. You can stay here with proper booking and charges are ₹1200 including your breakfast, lunch, dinner with guide. If your thinking for one day short trip so definitely it's very good choice. Binoculars and telescopes are available with guide also. So watch it and enjoy it.

Best time to visit 7am to 11am in Month of December January and February. Do Not hire Guide for Museum and Swallow nesting as it takes time and you can also search the location on Google map and visit by your own. Guides may fool you with showing unknown things and make money as they charge 300 per hour Park your vehicle near Dam bridge and walkable distance towards Mahadev temple for nesting. You get Snacks here but quality is not good. Carry your own snacks and water bottles and sanitizer Entry ticket is 30 per person Parking for 4 Wheeler is 50/-

A superb spot for nature lovers everyone should try the place if you're interested. The guide give you a valuable amt of information and the prices are minimal. 300 for guide and 300 for the equipments. It was quite and only one family was with us so it was totally worth it. Dont go in heavy seasons you should visit when no one will...

Nandur Madhyameshwar Bird Sanctuary is one of the finest bird sanctuary in Nandur Madhyameshwar district in Nashik, it is the habitat for variety of bird species that migrate during seasonal changes, here, you can view variety of birds, there are sign boards are information regarding each bird as you explore inside the sanctuary. You can carry your cameras along with you for photoshoot. Also, parking space is provided for visitors as well. The staff also provides you with binoculars for better viewing experience with small additional charge also I highly recommend you to carry one while visiting this place for better experience. Highly recommended:- 1) Carry Binoculars 2) For best experience visit this place in between summer and starting of monsoon season.

Its wonderful place if you are birder or if you have interest in birds. Best time to visit is November December January. This is time to see a lot of migratory birds. At a 4 kms distance is museum build though bit inside where they have put up good picture exhibition and small video clip. If you are lucky u may even spot a resident peacock here.

1 hour drive from Nashik City Last 2km Road to the sanctuary not good Secluded location Recently grabbed eyeballs as it was declared a wetland of international importance under the ramsar convention Best time to visit is between December and January when you will get to spot all the migratory birds in their full glory Binoculars recommend as the birds are very far from the observation deck and it's next to impossible to spot them with your naked eye (You can even rent one inside the park for 100rs) Guide available to give you information about the various birds seen This place is a must visit I have earlier visited couple of other bird sanctuaries too but this one was the best since I actually got to see many unique birds Peaceful place, dedicated observatory to spot the birds Restroom/snacking/parking facility available with the sanctuary premises Visit early morning for a more fruitful memory

A perfect place for bird lovers/ enthusiasts. The climate and ecosystem in the area serves as a perfect habitat for local and some foreign/ migrating birds. The best period to visit and sight birds is from November to February, most likely to sight foreign birds in post monsoon season. The greater Flamingo bird is the main attraction, however you can see many types of unique and common birds here in abundance. Visit early morning for less disturbance of crowd (mostly on weekends) which may disturb birds and make them fly away. Major tip - carry a good camera equipped with bigger lens(just in case you wish to click these beauties), as birds are often far from observation towers. There are many good quality binoculars available at the office which can be rented at very affordable rates. Also villagers from nearby vicinity run canteens here, so tea, breakfast and water is easily available now (carry some small denomination cash, it might get difficult to get change of bigger denomination here). You have few fees to be paid here, - parking, entry, guide (if you avail one), binoculars, camera(if you carry one), etc. The office accepts cash and also have swipe/ pos machine at entrance for the collection of fees. Do carry your Photo IDs alongside, you may be asked to keep original ìds as security against binoculars. The place also has a provision to stay overnight with limited rooms by forest department. There are few good observation towers, consult with the forest officer at the entrance first for better sightings during that period.

There are two trails , 1 {500m} and 2{2500m} If visiting first time please take the trail 1 as there are many things on trail 1. Trail 2 is extremely muddy and hard come prepared for it . Overall a nice place for one day trip.

Visited the place hoping to watch birds and returned back with loads of pictures of so many species of migratory and local birds, hoards of knowledge and knowing the site is in great hands of some dedicated volunteers who are committed to making us want to return. We needs to support these volunteers working with Amol Darade. They have tent Accomodation near the entrance so an overnight stay to watch the sunrise is possible. There is a car park and guides can arrange telescopes and cameras at nominal rates. The guides are very knowledgeable and a must to have with you to truly enjoy the sighting

Its amongst very few bird sanctuaries in Maharashtra State of India to watch some rare bird species. The staff is helpful. Entry cost is INR 50 plus Vehicle fee. You also get binocular for axtra charge. I carried my own Spotting Scope.

  • 4/5 Nandkumar K. 3 years ago on Google
The birds from within India and Outside India are migrated and stayed here between December to March, every year. The burd sighting is very much sure, well sighted and can be photographed easily. One hour drive from Nashik City. Always prefer own vehicle, as public transport is very uncertain. Outside the sanctuary, local hotels are available and you can enjoy local food. Better to visit early morning 0600 hours to have a close look on Birds, Jungle cats and civets.

Go early in the morning to avoid heat. You must need binoculars to see birds at long distance from you. Also they can give binoculars to you with some fees.

  • 4/5 Darshan P. 3 years ago on Google
Good place. But not like any animal zoo. You have to walk only to find birds and they are also watchable through binoculars. And because of that we can't enjoy much, as binoculars are not stable for watching. And one more drawback is you can find only 2 to 3 special migrated birds. All of the species are not available at the same time of year. Other than this, it is good picnic spot for family, friends trip and lunch party with your homemade food. Their canteen facility is also available but not much variety. So I'll suggest, bring your own food with yourself. Enjoy!!!

Place is nice many many species to spot.. Bring your high zoom camera, guide would be better if you want to know more about the birds found here. Early morning trails are the best.

As Dr. Salim Ali mentioned, this place truly is 'Bharatpur of Maharashtra'. It is a very important bird area for Migratory waterbirds and is recently declared as Ramsar Site which is a big achievement for this place in itself. There are few watch towers from where huge flock of birds (especially waterbirds) can be seen clearly. A must visit place for bird lovers.
