For going there you need a permission letter from the nasik city which you can get in few minutes and it's 20 min drive from nasik city. City bus also takes you there every 20 mins. The dam is supposed to be located at the rare ends of Nashik. One needs to pass through few villages and to reach the destination. It's advisable to use bike as the road isn't well constructed. Cars can be used but on your own risk. The route to dam is surrounded by numerous mountains which could be destination for one day trek as well.
