It's a small dam just outside of Nashik city. Best picnic place for family or friends. Almost no crowds, quite atmosphere and beautiful nature makes the place awesome. Has some restaurants to have food. Overall it's a good outing place and a cool place to hangout with friends.

The backwaters of the dam are truly stunning. The calm and serene waters are surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes. The view is truly breathtaking and it is hard not to feel a sense of calm and relaxation as you take in the natural beauty around you. One of the things that struck me most about this place was just how peaceful it was. The sounds of the water lapping against the shore and the birds chirping in the trees were the only sounds that could be heard, and it was so refreshing to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I spent a few hours here just walking along the shores and taking in the stunning scenery. The peace and quiet of the place was incredibly therapeutic and I felt my mind and body relaxing with each passing moment.

The height of the dam above lowest foundation is 41.75 m (137.0 ft) while the length is 1,380 m (4,530 ft). The volume content is 0.05174 km3 (0.01241 cu mi) and gross storage capacity is 0.05269 km3 (0.01264 cu mi).[2] Downstream of this dam is the Gangapur Dam which opened in 1965. Due to silt deposition in the reservoir area, the storage capacity of the Gangapur Dam has gradually reduced. The right side canal running towards Nashik is also closed due to the high civilization in the area. For these two reasons, the Kashypi Dam was constructed.[3]

Amazing place to visit mainly at Sunrise time. Initially planned something else but visited Kashyapi Dam. Too good place to visit. Approx 1 hour away from Sharanpur Road. View has been eye pleasing and too good. Worth visiting.

This place is very good to visit ....best spot in Nashik to eat and view is also awesome ....all the food item are very fresh .....fast service and setting arrangements are very good ....issue is only there are many alcohol drinker visit at the same place for drinking.....but we all got the seperate place to eat ...so we have the privacy 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁..........,.....we can enjoy both the food and view..........best place to take pictures also ............ I'll recommend this place atleast visit one time ....this place will not disappoint you......but this place is very far .....anyhow once you reach you will definitely enjoy

You cannot enter the dam but the view of dam from a nearby valley is very beautiful.

Very good site. You can go nearer water body. But all its polluted as usual sites of other picnic spots. Near by good hotels. Bev safe while going near water. Water sports are not avaliable. On weekdays expect good rush. Avoid to go in noon as no nearby shady area on water side. You can not go to main dam wall.

A dam with Epic view awesome sunrise and sunset extremely nice water clean and safe + easy to reach roads are very nice well maintain tarmaç, it is awesome picnic spot for a small family retreat for a couple of hours from nashik city. Kindly leave the place better than you found it
