This is a recreation area directly on the Mississippi. Not a lot of amenities. Only a pit toilet that look a little sketchy to use. There is a boat launch but the boat launch piers had not been in yet. The beach can vary from mud to sand and everything in between. Beach can be big or small depending on how the river is that day. Kids had a blast swimming in the river. The current will take you from one end of the beach to the other. It's fun, but take care. There are railroad tracks with active trains (many!) bordering the park. Parking is free and plentiful but gravel. No swimming ropes, swim area buoys, or lifeguard. Kids had a lot of fun catching minnows.

Wow, this beach is beautiful. All fine sand right up to the water. I walked out over 100 feet and could still see my feet. The only downfall I could see is that there is no shaded area. The bathroom is very far away. Overall, this is an amazing place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds both sides of the Mississippi River

Nice place for families even though keep and eye in the afternoon during not busy days. I got a drunk guy coming to me and a friend asking for cigarettes and asking about. If we were with our husband, he come from no where and another guy alone in a truck for hours. He was there at 2pm then left around 6pm.

Fantastic theres never too many people there so social distancing isn't a problem. Its a gorgeous view of the river and is safe for children to swim. The beach is kept clean so no worries about litter.

Can be a very nice beach if river levels have been cooperative. Extended periods of high water can make it a muddy mess. Restrooms can be hit or miss, sometimes sketchy if it's been really busy. But when it's good, it's really good with scenic views and great access to the Mississippi River. Plenty of parking available, too.

Nice beach on the Mississippi River. Got pretty crowded in the afternoon, but that's expected. Very nicely groomed sand.

Great place to hangout with family and friends. The beach does look alot better now and the sand feels amazing, wish the bathrooms were closer though
