Gracious and delicious! My wife and I called in on Tuesday(August 18th) evening to check to see if Pogreba was open. They were and we arrived at about 7:30pm. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waitress was cheerful and patient as we made our decisions about something from the bar. Little did we know, as we relaxed in our cozy booth and looked around the lovely dining room that their official hours were only until 8pm. Our waitress returned with our dinks and reviewed he featured entrees and soups. We made our selections and continued to enjoy. At no time did anyone from the restaurant mention that they were scheduled to close at 8 nor did we fell the slightest bit rushed along. Our dinner was terrific ( Pogreba is consistently very good!) and we also ordered a dessert to go once we learned that we had kept them almost an hour past their planned closing time. We offer our highest recommendation and sincere gratitude to the entire staff for the grace and hospitality we were shown on Tuesday night. We had a wonderful experience. We look forward to sharing our experience with others and we look forward to returning to dine with them again soon!

This is a gem, the food was unique and plentiful, your pallet will thank you for the experience. They went out of their way to make my fish fry gluten-free, I can't thank you enough. Their salad dressings are made in house along with the lavender butter, everything was fresh and delicious!

You won’t be disappointed. The key lime pie is perfect too.

The service was very good, our server knowledgable about the specials, menu and the meal came out within an ideal time frame. The food was great (pricey), surprisingly the highlight of my experience was the orange zest & mint butter served with the bread that evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and the setting is unique (I believe it was once a church building). Check out the stained glass windows.

Great restaurant! Enjoyed the atmosphere. The curved half walls divide the room into cozy areas. Our server was attentive but not pesky. We both ordered Filet Mignon. It was prepared perfectly. The bar had an excellent selection of bourbons and other fine spirits. The wine list, though small, had a number of good choices.

The restaurant is quite unassuming from the outside, but the inside looks very nice. For the appetizer we had a special crab cake made with shrimp which was great. My wife had the shrimp and scallops pasta dish which was also delicious. Lastly, I had the BBQ ribs which were done perfectly. They were falling off the bone and had the right amount of sauce with them. As a part of the ribs there were sides of sweet potato fries and apple kimchi. Overall the food was excellent. Our server, Barry, was also super friendly and did an excellent job. We will be back.

Hidden amongst neighborhoods is this beautiful place with amazing food! My server Erin was very polite, friendly and professional. She had great knowledge of the menu and explained the specials well. For a starter I picked soup in which they had beer cheese on special and it was very good! They also bring out this amazing bread and some kind of homemade apple butter that made me ask for more! My main dish was the seafood ravioli: Pan seared sea scallops, baby shrimp and the ravioli is stuffed with Maryland blue crab and ricotta finished with some asparagus and a wonderful lobster sherry sauce! I will definitely be back!

The wait staff are outstanding. Wh had the privilege of having Jenna as our server. She was awesome taking care of our wants. The food is way above average. We enjoy the experience each time we go. Thanks to Jenna.

Went here for my birthday, was very impressed all around. Service was great, many of the staff acknowledged my birthday. The food was amazing, especially the rib eye! Had the raspberry lemon drop, so delicious- pretty strong for someone who doesn’t drink very much but very good. Will definitely be back!

We were just visiting this area and found this place by chance. Atmosphere was very inviting and welcoming. Amazing staff. All attentive, prompt and very friendly. Food was amazing. It was our 22nd anniversary and they made us feel very special. Will definitely be making special trips to here in the future. Deserves more than 5 stars for this establishment 🤗

Amazing food and great ambiance in a building that used to be a church. Hands down, the best steakhouse in La Crosse - maybe the region (we had prime rib and ribeye, medium - both grilled to perfection), with a top notch staff. Don't forget dessert. Our server, Amy, was absolutely wonderful. We'll be back.

My husband and I dined in last night to celebrate our 1st anniversary. We both ordered the crab which was delicious. The cooks did amazing. What we really didn't know until today was that the staff packages up your leftover food and didnt pack the body meat to our crab. So I am very disappointed as that was the lunch plan for today and can't be anymore. I didn't realize we had to check to see if they packed up everything. I am just furious after spending $250 for two plates of food and a couple of drinks why I didn't get all of it back. I work 70 hours/week just to have enough to live with a little extra spending money and this is what happens. It was our second time there and the atmosphere and food was good as always, just still trying to figure out how I'm going to make up for this.

We went to Pogreba for the first time for my birthday. Everything about our time there was amazing. Our server Lexi was the best! Knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I honestly think she is the best server I have ever met. The food was delicious. From the aps to the dessert everything was great. I can't believe I'd never been there before, but will definitely be back!

My fiancé and I went here for NYE. We both ordered the special. The lobster was so good, there was no need for butter. I have not had lobster like that in my life—even in Maine! Veggies and Filet were great too. But I’m always looking for great seafood in the area! They make amazing cocktails as well!

I don't write reviews often, but felt the need to share what a gem this restaurant is. Last weekend I dined at Pogreba with a group of 6 people, and everyone at our table felt that this was the best meal we had every had!! Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the drink specials and desserts. Expect fine dining prices, but unlike some other fine dining restaurants, Pogreba's entrees include hearty portions, as well as a very good size salad of soup of your choice, and fresh warm rolls with specialty butters. The atmosphere is beautiful. It's warm and elegant; high-end without being stuffy or pretentious. And the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back. If you are in the La Crosse area, and looking for someplace to dine, I'd highly recommend Pogreba!

Went to Pogrebas for the first time last night and I must say that this was the best food I may have ever eaten. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection and the mashed potatoes were to die for. The only criticism I have is that my key lime pie was very delightful, but could have used more lime flavor. It was delicious, but tasted more like cheesecake (which I love anyway). Atmosphere, wait staff- all lovely!! I will be back for sure.

Wow! I have had Pogreba on my 'want to go' list for a while and it was so worth the wait! We had a dinner reservation for a party of 8 for a friend reunion. I had the Shrimp and Scallops with squid ink linguine (SO COOL and savory). My husband had the Filet Mignon. The 'char-crust' was to die for, and the bites were so tender and flavorful. The atmosphere here is so welcoming and very romantic; perfect for a date night or a relaxing night with a friend. I seriously love this place. We have told everyone about our experience and will definitely return again and again. Since I do so many restaurant reviews, and I'm rated "Top 10% of Google Restaurant Reviewers," I've decided to start implementing my own personal 'taste' review for each restaurant. If I like a place, I always give 5/5 stars, but the below rating will be for taste and food satisfaction alone. -Denae Tasteometer: 14/15
