If I could give a negative 4 rating, this would be the place. This trip was horrible. I drove 30minutes and was excited. Got to a building that looked like an abandoned restaurant with 1 girl sitting at a register on her phone. The business phone rang and she asked us if she should be mean and not answer..what?? Then, I order what they had from the menu even though she said they didn't have what was pictured. I ordered and paid and was told to go to the back. I waited 40minutes for 2 women with no gloves to use 3 microwaves to heat food out of small containers and mix them together in the containers given to customers. I took pictures of the untouched facilities. There was zero cooking being done in house. The server had on a dirty hoodie, shorts and slides...no gloves. And, kept asking me to see my receipt as he pulled balled-up receipts out his hoody pocket. Once I realized that I had paid $50 for them to heat up food in a microwave, I wanted my money back but could no longer find the cashier. I was given my order in 2 greasy bags and the plastic containers looked like they had been used multiple times before they were given to me. I was heavily disappointed and turned off. I immediately took my family somewhere clean and respectable. I will never ever come back to MamaTi's. The community deserves better.

Very very disappointed! I was so excited to try. This place came recommended for great ox tails. What a lie! I’ve been Bamboozled😢🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I spent $82.05 for tough fatty ox tails served in grease, and basic chicken. Customer service was decent. The cashier appeared like he didn’t want to be working. But the gentleman that was in the back bagging food was very pleasant which is why I gave 2 stars. And for the lady preparing the food appeared to be stressed. None of the food consumed was cooked with love. And like the previous review I also made a request for something that was on the menu that they didn’t have. I’m hoping that they take our opinions and make strides to make the restaurant more appealing and living up to the name. Looking forward to following up with a more positive review.

Delicious meal. Kitily torborgee for me and couscous with fish for-my partner. The torborgee was spicy and flavorful. The couscous pilaf was nicely seasoned- not too salty. Fish was yummy. And the gingerbeer soft drink sweet and refreshing.

Great food. Great service. Great staff. The server/cashier was so friendly and helpful. It was our first time and he showed us their pix and entree descriptions on the computer. The food may take a bit but chill. Great food takes time. My son planned for us to visit this restaurant and was so happy. You will be too. Stop in.

I'm always on the lookout for different food experiences, small business type places, and especially authentic ethnic food. This place checks all those boxes. The service was friendly and prompt. Food was very tasty. The server described the menu items very well. The ginger beer is very good

I really loved this place. They had the best cassava leaf and their pepper sauce is top tier. Well, I tried placing an order today. According to Google they close at 8pm. I got there and I believe the business is no longer there. The place was cleaned out. This needs to be updated so that people don’t try and order.

I’m really hoping I just caught them in an off day… I was so excited to try egusi soup & fufu and it just wasn’t at all what I expected. The soup had 2 chunks of meat in it… no idea what kind and it was hard as a rock. And there was a bunch of hard materials in the soup I was scared to eat it. Maybe bone? I did not read bone was in there though….

Once you walk in you know by the smell that you came into a place that serves delicious food! I’ve only been here a handful of times because of commute (it’s worth it every time). So many options to choose from, honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them. If you love flavor, spice, and authentic African food you have come to the right place. The atmosphere is so bright, welcoming and most of all CLEAN! The restaurant is well kept and that’s so appreciated. If you ever wanna try new food do your self a favor and give MaMa Ti’s African kitchen a shot. They always leave me wanting more! P.S. get either a bottle or a gallon of their ginger drink - so refreshing!

There are some restaurants that you get tired of, but I've been getting food here since they 1st opened. The food and service is always on point. Best African food spot in the region. I'm glad to be a customer of Mama T's. Thank you for what you do.

The food took forever to come out, ruined the whole mood. And it was microwaved, so it should have been much faster. The taste was ok but not worth the wait.

This what you get for 11$ dry rice. I can literally make this myself at home. I was so disappointed and the lady in the kitchen don’t know how to talk to customers/ employees.

I've only tried 3 African kitchens in my life and this place would rank 2nd in terms of food! The food was delicious the flavor is there. The downside I was disappointed with the lack of meat on the bones not much at all and how greasy the spinach was not good it was very saturated in grease. My daughter had fufu and egusi, it was too hot and fufu didn't bowl like it should her words also a lack of meat in hers she said customers should be able to add the spice themselves. Overall good food!

Restaurant was clean and spacious, customer service was great ,I called in my order and waited 20 min before I left then I went there and waited an extra 20 -25 minutes, the food pricing was kind of on the spendy side, we ordered the XL potatoe greens (standard size) and regular size Jollif rice w/chicken and paid $53.00. The potatoe greens were too oily , wow and the flavor was way too bland, it tasted funny, and I’ve had flavorful African food over the years and this by far was the most unflavorful, what saved it was the pepper sauce, if the pepper wasn’t an option I really don’t think we would’ve ate it. The meat within the greens was hard and strangely dry , and again no seasoning, the jollif rice was good and seasoned well I really like that a lot , the chicken quarter was juicy within it, the hot pepper spice that came with it was the best out of the whole meal, I would buy a jar of that next time if they sell it. I personally probably wouldn’t rush back to order from them again if I want African style food.

The food is authentic and delicious. And every time I order from them I get some extra pepper sauce. It’s amazing and I would recommend this place to anybody. 10/10 for me. Never an issue with Mamatis 💯🔥

I've had better... The collard greens are bland and oily... The spinach is super spinachy. The food lacked flavor... I love African food but this wasn't that good... The establishment was clean and good customer service. They just need to add more flavor to their food and make spinach less mushy...

Lots of food for the price! Just one concern which is Communication, they should inform you that when ordering jollof rice with chicken let the person know that they are going to receive a chicken leg quarter, which I am not a fan of and had I known, I would not have ordered chicken as a choice

Cassava leaf was a big hit during our weekend getaway. Soup was literally confisticated by guests who took it home. Couldn't be happier with the reaction to people trying out new food. Mama T was awesome

Food has always been spot on. Collard green is delicious and so flavorful. Fufu and soups always hit the spot. Their hot sauce/dip is amazing! Only feedback is they do forget some items. Not too much of a big deal if you pick up in person. But grubhub (what i ordered through) easily refunded me my items that were missing. I didn't check when I went to pick up my order. Definitely check yours if you order a lot of things.

Cassava leaf was fresh and delicious. Packed with flavor, good meat portions and no bones in the food (my preference) They have some of the best pepper sauce I’ve had. I also ordered a side of plantains and they were cooked right and sweet. 10/10
