It was clean, people were nice and polite. Not enough pillows or blankets. Took blue light in and walls had stuff all over them, but bed was clean... Price could be better for seniors.

I am a travel x-ray tech from Alabama and was in town to help a local hospital. Booked room for Tues-Sat. When I got off my 10 hr shift Friday someone else was in my room and all my things were gone. Guy at front desk didn't know what was going on. He was very helpful and apologetic and started to make phone calls to get answers. I was told there wasn't suppose to be anyone in that room and they didn't know who was in there. (Used ID to check in) I was also told that they thought I had checked out. All my things were there. Purse, wallet, laptop, clothes,, toiletries,, food etc. And then I was told I had been moved to another room. But they didn't take my things to said room. Manager is not there but she has my belongings in her possession. When she arrives I go through my things to see if everything is there. As far as I can tell at that moment while I was dealing with pure RAGE, everything was accounted for except liquor is missing. Manager pulls money OUT OF HER BRA to reimburse me for it. She acted like she had no idea what happened....but took all my stuff off the premises??? She says people leave stuff all the time. The couple that was in the room stated they didn't have the king room they reserved so they waited while they removed my things and cleaned the room. She offers me free nights like that's going to rectify the situation. She ultimately refunded money for my stay. Something sketchy is going on there. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN??? Someone needs to lose their job over this. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

I would come back to this hotel or anything because there was much enjoyable as I'm getting very kind and considerant response as when it comes to my most important my best friend they are very pet friendly very easy laid back stand and the place is always kept clean and always peaceful quiet so as I said five star review rather they add another star that's how good of service I've got

Within a half mile you have several fast food restaurants and a grocery store a CVS pharmacy, a hospital and clinics. But the staff here are remarkable. Some get to know you and are helpful whenever you need it. Very knowledgeable about the motel.

A little pricey compared to what I am used to paying @ a motel 6. Rooms have a mini refrig. Coffee is available 5am. There is a microwave available for use in the coffee area. On my visit the pool was closed for maintenance. Overall one of the better motel 6's that I have stayed at, now if something could be done about the rates, I could give a 5 stars rating. Thank you Angie/Amy for being very professional and friendly!

This is one of the better Motel 6 locations. Unfortunately, they did not notice that what I made my reservation online that I needed a ground-floor room, and I did not get one. I can't have one because by these are terrible and because I usually travel with dogs. I was also charged incorrectly. On the good side, the room was fabulous. The bed wasn't even too bad. The towels were in good shape. The refrigerator was very very cold but the microwave was not there. They have the power strips with both the USB ports and the plugins, which is great, I think all locations should have those at this point. I spoke with housekeeping in the morning, and they appreciated the compliments, as it seems that the guests don't take the time to let them know what they're doing right. There were a lot of discussions going on in the hallway in the wee hours of the morning that could have been addressed had their bed staff at the location. There were a lot of dogs outside without leashes.

For the price you pay it's a overall good experience. Staff is super nice, quiet for the most part, and rooms are nothing fancy but are comfortable. I would visit again for sure!

I booked 2 rooms for my out of state family for Monday, what an awful experience! There were no bed linens, pillows or towels and when they went to the desk they said they had none! They said there people laying in the lobby on the floor, a fight going on in the hallway and lots of loitering (not guest) They were honestly to afraid to stay! They called me and ask me to come back and help them find a new hotel…it truly was that bad. They are not picky people and only wanted a place to lay there head as they were here visiting a very ill family member in the hospital. I was mortified and embarrassed…..Motel 6……you should inspect your hotels or at least this one! I am never one to leave a bad review but in this case I felt the need to!

Stayed there last weekend. Service was good. However, dog across the hall barked all the time, everytime came out of the room it smelled like weed, no microwave, pool was very oily, beds uncomfortable, flat pillows. We even checked out a day early to go home at like 8pm. First time staying there and won't be back.

Room wasn't the worst for a last minute stay. Bed was comfortable but things weren't updated. Bathroom was small and toilet seat was cracked. Horrible customer service. Charged our card $50 after we paid cash. Called to ask why and the manager accused us of smoking in a nonsmoking room. After stating we don't smoke she accuses us of "leaving weed residue and smoking pot." We were probably the only people not smoking pot based on the other patrons we saw in the halls. Manager couldn't tell me where this weed residue was found even after putting me on hold to "ask the staff". People loitering outside, a yapping dog across the hall, and a rude manager later it wasn't worth the 93 whatever plus the bogus 50 they stole afterward. Don't waste your money here.

The pool wasn’t working and the beds were deeply uncomfortable. The staff were great to me, but made my brother move while burdened with all of their luggage.

It was a nice place. But I was not happy with the pot smell threw out the motel it was horrible. It actually made me sick. And the pool was closed all weekend. And are room was never cleaned.

Most of the staff at this location are very pleasant but today I called and spoke with Devon and I have to say he is the rudest of all the staff there. I will be sure to take my business elsewhere after today.

My wife and I stayed there for a about a month and we were completely happy with the hotel. The staff was super. The room was very clean and it had everything we needed. If we ever go back to Waterloo we will most certainly stay there again.

They had bed bugs and the rooms were dirty they only reimbursed me for two nights and didn't get back to me for my reimbursement of the other nights going to take them to court and report them to the health department someone kept slamming the door all night staff doing care or treat you good

We stayed there back In the end of February for state bowling and when we arrived the television was broke, so we got into another room and noticed a wire for a camera coming from television and that was enough for me. Never stay there again. There motto should be we will leave the light off for you Instead will leave light on for you. My worse experience at a hotel ever.

It'll do in a pinch. Rooms look like they're maybe in the process of being updated. Staff was great; parking, not so much. Pool looked okay, but small. Price wasn't so great, but we did, unfortunately, pick a weekend when Irish Fest was in town. Not sure we'd come again, though.

I gave this a 1 rating because the room was nice. unfortunately the property and grounds were a nightmare. many people live in the hotel, some with dogs in separate rooms. transients were blocking the outside doors open so that they could not lock and the manager knew it and did nothing. people were all over the parking lot drinking, sitting in cars blasting music and coming and going all night long. i took my dog out late at night and a drunk right outside the unlocked front door (it was supposed to be locked after 11:00pm per their sign) started yelling and cussing about something. I would never bring a family there. it was noisy with doors slamming and different people coming and going all night long, the hallways stunk. it was very unsettling, I will never stay there again, there is no way that this hotel has a 4 star rating NO WAY. very scary place and the owner gives the same useless response to everyone. and the pool was closed too.

The room was in awful shape. The phone had no cord plugged into it or anywhere in the room. There were scrapes and tears all over the walls. The AC unit only blew very hot air - it was colder outside in Iowa in August than it was in our room with the AC set on 60 degrees. The microwave cord wasn't plugged in because it wasn't long enough to reach the outlet, so we had to put it on the floor to use it. It was a gross and uncomfortable experience. The ladies at the front desk were nice enough, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about it. No breakfast service. They do have an indoor pool.

Was going thru a struggle involving Covid & Homelessness. They provided all the arrangements for extra time to re-evaluate the situations and take care of time arrangements. Very professional and customer service oriented.

Amy at the front desk is simply the best and that's coming from someone who has stayed in many hotels. I booked online with Agoda who apparently goes through Booking to actually make the reservations. They sent it to an email that Motel 6 doesn't even have. I was on the phone with them for over 2 hours and 15 minutes. Amy was super friendly about the whole ordeal and even dealt with them multiple times and fought for me to get the rate I was quoted. I can't thank her enough. I wish all hotels had this type of customer service!

This place needs to be closed down permanently. It's a thug stronghold of street rats and and imbiciles. Plan on watching your car all night, plan on hearing people party all night with zero respect of other customers. Front desk lady was cool though. It was so bad we left. Very shocked ownership would allow this.

This was Cedar Falls Motel 6 not Waterloo. The room was nice, but...... There was dirty laundry in the corner, 1 set of towels, no soap, no bags in the garbage cans. Went down to complain in the AM and told the very nice young man and he said I should talk to the laundry manager. Went down again later and got a hold of Alexis and she was VERY rude, she made me feel like it was my fault and belittled me. She did absolutely nothing. Wished I could have talked to a manager!!

Loudest hotel do not recommend people slamming door screeching tires all night long room still had pop bottles in it even tho front desk lady asked the cleaner if it was done while checking in. Still trash on night stand. Half of the lights didn’t work. Tv would shut off every five seconds a the lady at the front desk acted like it wasn’t her problem. Phone in room wasn’t plugged in. will not be staying again. If I could give negative 50 stars I would. Needs to be cleaned up by corporate before any one stays there.

My family stayed there 3 nights. The pros the shower had amazing water pressure & the day time staff were helpful. Cons, well where do I start, the beds were uncomfortable, each bed had 2 pillows these pillows appeared fluffy but immediately went flat, we asked 2 staff at completely different times, we received one extra pillow. The air conditioner worked great but made some horrible nose. The shower rod is placed high or the shower curtain was too short once you turned on the shower the water sprayed the whole bathroom. The toilet seat cover had a crack in it. I must not forget the holes in the towels. The new headboard/nightstand which included a built in power strip with USB ports (I was impressed) except when I realized it worked for 10 minutes. This does not include the lovely smell of marijuana in the hall, the lovely couple having an argument in the hall, or the screaming child apologizing to his parents to let him back into the room. If I would have came later, I probably would have choose to sleep in my vehicle, since every evening it appeared the staff and their friends congregation outside the main doors. This is only a small amount. Doesn’t help that at a local establishment, the locals didn’t recommend the motel.
