We visted this stunningly beautiful place of Labor Day Weekend. The short trail is very easy to navigate and is paved with flagstone. The view is awesome and we plan to return!

Very nice veiws. The observation trail hike can be as short as 30 minutes, but there is a lot to explore just off the trail and a lot to enjoy. If you are really adventurous, there are a lot more trails to explore. The journey there is lovely as well.

I’ve been here 3 times in life. Once when I was 18, again at age 24 and the last time, when these pics were taken, I was 45 years old. I grew up in central Illinois and Garden of the gods was a 4 hour drive. I eventually moved away and my last visit was after I went back home and buried my mother. I had to stop here on the way back. My would needed it. A perfect late May Day in 2020. It was deserted and overcast, which fit my mood perfectly. It brought me peace for a couple of hours. The beauty, the viewing of what Mother Nature and time are capable of. This really is a special place. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been to table rock and camel back rock but this time u just needed to walk the trail. The parking lot is paved. There are restrooms. Camping is allowed, though I don’t know the details.

Beautiful location with amazing views, even better in the fall because the trees are mostly bare. The trail is relatively easy with a few inclines but there are also stairs in places to make it easier to walk through. There was a few places where some morons thought it was OK to damage the trees by carving initials into them and stripping bark. It's a great place to visit.

It's a good place for a day hike. But apart from climbing the stones, the hike ain't difficult. Don't miss the sunset in evening. Also try Garden of Gods Wilderness Trail in the forest and Indian Trail nearby. The camping grounds are good. But the camping grounds at other belt of Shawnee National Park are way better and spacious. Overall you can spend a nice weekend and an overnight camping trip here. πŸ•οΈ πŸŒŒπŸŒ…πŸ₯Ύ

Talk about beautiful. We visited in October, so it was a bit busy, but we still were able to enjoy all the beautiful views and climbing. We brought our dog and everyone was very friendly about having him there. The sights are unbelievable especially with the autumn trees changing colors. Highly recommend if you are in the area. If you want to camp, good luck at the Pharaoh campground. You'll have more luck going a few minutes down the road to the Pine Ridge campground which still has amazing views and a very nice spacious grounds.

Garden of the gods is an amazing place to visit. Rocky cliffs provide an amazing view of the surrounding forest. You can stay on the safety of the trail or you can venture out as far as you wish onto rock outcroppings and Rocky cliffs. There is also a campground and picnic areas in this area as well. Other trails are nearby as well if you enjoy hiking.

In the fall/winter, this place really does have a garden of the gods in Colorado feel to it. The stone formations are beautiful and the swirls of iron deposit are really unique. Fun place to some bouldering, scrambling and rock hopping. You get a really spectacular view of the horizon from out on the formations. Don't forget that you can camp and over night backpack

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We camped at the nearby campground only because it was at the stopping point for our travels. We were pleasantly surprised to find this historical village and great visitors center! Next time we will plan to go on a weekend, as a lot of the buildings are closed during the week. Also, they had some...

🫀 Beautiful campground. The place was literally just us. No one else was really camping here. That being said, do to recent heavy rain the place was full and I mean full of puddles and all kinds bugs. Not the campgrounds fault. But I asked to move to another site under some more shade and away from th...
