Spent a long weekend in Nashville with some college friends and stayed at the Caroline House. It is beautifully furnished and comfortable, with ample indoor and outdoor space to hangout. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but a short walk to 12 South which is a cool neighborhood to venture out to eat and drink.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caroline House. Michael has been an amazing host. Very friendly, welcoming, helpful and kind. The home is cozy, inviting and beautifully decorated. They have thought of everything to make our stay lovely. My husband and I would choose the Caroline House over anywhere else in Nashville!

Wow, what a treat to stay at the Caroline House! Everything was set up perfectly for a warm and homey experience. We had a busy weekend planned, so my husband and I were in and out at odd hours. But it felt so nice to come in the front door, even late at night, and feel like we just got home. We loved being able to grab a snack that was always available on the kitchen island, before closing the beautiful original oak door to our luxurious bedroom suit. The linens and pillows were to die for, and everything was so clean and tidy. We had so much fun trying and supporting the local restaurants within walking distance, and we felt perfectly safe leaving any belongings in our bedroom too. Really, one of the best experiences for me, they thought of everything! Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Ashley & Michael for your hospitality ā¤ļø Jo and Caleb

This by far one of the best places we have stayed. PERFECT in every way! Restaurants and grocery stores you can walk to and a quiet neighborhood! The home is so clean and provides everything you could want including a tremendous kitchen if you decide to cook your own meal or cook out on the grille. Iā€™d live there if we could. Michael the host was so very helpful and friendly. No doubt where we will stay when in Nashville!

Tremendous place to stay in Nashville. The staff & owners were great with communication, the house was unbelievable beautiful, every amenity was available and our room (the Coal Cellar) was incredibly cool with the pool table and seating area. Teresa went out of her way to make sure that we were taken care of, including bringing in popcorn for our NFL game watching. We accidentally left clothing in the closet which the owner promptly let us know about and coordinated getting it back to us. Can't say enough good things about this place! It will be our "go to" place for all future Nashville trips.

I have stayed in many of Nashville's "nicer" hotels over the years and decided to give the B&B experience a try this fall. After staying at the Caroline House, I will never stay anywhere else again. I loved the location, the personal hospitality of the owners, Ashley and Michael, and the early-1900's charm which was enhanced through thoughtful decor and amenities. My favorite part of my stay was arriving "home" at the end of the day to their golden retriever's warm greetings on the front steps of the porch! The owners thought of every detail and expected need of their guests. I especially loved trying nearby locales for breakfast, which was included in my stay. I 100% recommend the Caroline House for anyone visiting Nashville!

This was my first experience with a Bed and Breakfast. The Caroline House is better than staying in a hotel any day. The hosts are kind and attentive to needs and questions about the area. Maggie is kind and not disruptive to guest. The house was beautifully renovated keeping with the historic of the home and neighborhood. I was hoping for the home cook, sit down talk to other couples experience, but that may come from watching movies with B&B in them :). It was nice to be able to experience the small businesses around the neighborhood and I enjoyed each stop. Would I stay again, of course.

We had a wonderful stay at The Caroline House! We loved the location and the walkability to 12 South and all there is to do and eat there! We wanted our weekend to be relaxing but still have access to great food - and thatā€™s what you get! We never had to worry about parking for any meal. The Caroline House itself is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The hosts were very helpful and kind! Highly recommend! - Allison Page

Thank you for a wonderful stay! All the little extras you provided were much appreciated...the balloons in our suite for our daughter's 21st birthday, the nightly treats from local businesses, the white noise makers, the Desti pets, the conversations with Ashley, Michael, and Maggie, the mid-week bedding change, the use of the refrigerator...it was like an elevated VRBO experience! We made good use of all the breakfast coupons as well...and weren't disappointed! 12 South is our favorite area of Nashville and The Caroline House was the perfect home base for all our Nashville activities. Take care until next time!

My daughter and I loved our stay at the Caroline House. The home has been beautifully restored and our room was well appointment and spotless. It's on a quiet and peaceful street, but just a few minutes walk to all the shops and eateries in the 12 South District. We loved all the personal touches and meeting Desti. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast vouchers each morning which allowed us to try a new local restaurant each day. I highly recommend this lovely B&B!

The hosts, Michael and Ashley, were great. The communication was at a high-level, and theyā€™re just really nice people to get to know. Always there if you need anything. Their lovely B&B is located in the 12 S. neighborhood which is very quaint with lots of restaurants, shops and a neighborhood park nearby. Our main floor bedroom, with antique furniture, was very comfortable with a beautiful and spacious en-suite bathroom. We really appreciated all of the recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Between activities, we enjoyed the outdoor spaces including the rocking chairs on the front porch, the patio out back with a comfy couch and Adirondack chairs under mature trees. They help support the local businesses by giving you vouchers to go to different restaurants for breakfast every morning. Itā€™s a quick and inexpensive ride share to downtown and other points of interest. No reason to have a rental car unless you plan on traveling far out from the city. Highly recommend staying here for your next visit to Nashville

This lodging option is a 5-star boutique hotel! The location near 12 South was ideal for us. The home is beautifully restored and decorated. It reminded me of visiting my grandparents 60+ years ago - albeit todayā€™s air conditioning made it more comfortable. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hosts are generous with their hospitality. They have seemingly thought of every detail and addressed it and that made our five night stay exceptional. My wife and I are so glad that we booked our room early. There is no better place to stay in the 12 South neighborhood.

Our stay at the Caroline House Inn truly enhanced our trip to Nashville. The Historic Inn is maintained in great shape. Everything is spotless and in great condition. We found the common space welcoming and comfortable to relax in. The room itself was very nice ā€“ quality bed and bedding. Very comfortable. It was nice to start every day with coffee or tea and a walk in the neighborhood. Finally, the owners and staff understand their business. They make a genuine effort to not just make Caroline House a great place to stay, but to be good neighbors and supporters of local businesses. Such a good fit for our getaway to Nashville.

The Caroline House did not disappoint! My husband and I made a last minute trip to Nashville for an Anniversary getaway and it just so happens we got to stay at this beautiful historic house! Ashley and Michael were such great hosts and we enjoyed getting to relax in their home! It was our first time experiencing a Bed and Breakfast and this was very unique. I loved their take on breakfast and how they support the small local restaurants. You have soo much to experience just down the street from the Caroline House. When we do decide to plan another trip to Nashville the Caroline House will be the first place to check for availability. You wont regret it!

The Caroline House exceeded every expectation I had when we booked a ā€œRun of the Houseā€ to celebrate my sonā€™s graduation from Belmont. Ashley and Michael were incredible host. The home is beautifully appointed and was the perfect place for our family to gather while in Nashville. Every ā€œextraā€ has been thought of, even down to the lovely body wash provided in every bathroom. I canā€™t say enough about the luxurious bedding (which made a for very restful sleep). Their outdoor spaces are amazing too, our family loved sitting by the fire. Iā€™ll be staying at Caroline House on my next visit to Nashville!

My family spent a long weekend, Thursday-Monday, at Caroline House in early October. Our experience was everything we expected from looking at the website and from our communications with the host. Our accommodations and amenities were exceptional. If we needed anything, the host was readily available. We used many of the dining recommendations given in the guest portal, and in every case we were very pleased. The neighborhood is beautiful and walkable. Everyone agreed it was a five-star experience.

We booked the Caroline House last minute to help our daughter move to Nashville. How lucky were we to find this beautiful home. Have already booked to come back! Ashley and Michael have thought of everything in this home away from home. Lovely, quiet neighborhood, but close to everything 12 South has to offer. Highly recommend!

This Inn and itā€™s Inn Keepers are a true Tennessee Treasure hidden in plain sight. I usually stay at the Hermitage but The Rolling Stones were booked there and I could not get my usual room. This led me to Caroline House Historic Inn which will be my home base whenever Iā€™m in Nashville. It is a week later and Iā€™m still feeling the delightful effects of my stay. Itā€™s a great welcome that begins with a glass of bubbly followed by a well paced conversational introduction about how things function. Almost immediately I knew that this was the place for me. Ashley and Michealā€™s attention to detail, presentation and cleanliness are on point. The historic home has low key elegance with luxury finishes, marble, original hardwoods, cool triple Frette sheeted beds, a very comfortable living room, breakfast barā€¦ oh and a brick outdoor fireplace or a fire pit if you so desirešŸ˜ƒā€¦and what home is not complete without a lovable Golden Retriever. I found my hosts to be warm, hospitable and comfortable, they work in tandem seamlessly with a quiet vibe. Thanks to Michael and their other guest/friend, Lee for the country music sing along by the fireplace. Beautiful experiences like this contributes to rich memories. Donā€™t forget to experience the front porch listening to the birds in the amšŸŒž It was perfect so Iā€™m looking forward to my next visit to Nashville.

For our 30th wedding anniversary, we decided to discover Nashville and to skip a chain hotel. Needless to say, Caroline House did not disappoint. From the friendly greeting by owner and host, Michael and beloved Golden Retriever, with glasses of champagne, to the gorgeous home, lovely and comfortable room, and thoughtful touches we could not have enjoyed ourselves or our stay any more than we did. We highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

Definitely an awesome place to stay if ever youā€™re in Nashville! Loved the hospitality, the charm of this beautiful historic home, prime location -close to lots of things within walking distance and let me tell you Michael & Ashley (Desti too), add such great care into every detail to make sure your stay is a memorable oneā€¦for instance their ā€œlocal neighborhood breakfast tourā€ is amazing!

Loved staying here! walking distance to a lot of great restaurants/shops and a short uber to downtown. Amazing hosts, the sweetest dog, and such a cool house!

Elegant, calming, and quiet, with all you want within walking distance! My wife and I booked a last minute anniversary getaway here for 2 nights, and we were VERY happy with the accommodations. Ashley and Michael were both very welcoming and personable, yet also left us alone with most of the house for a good bit of the time. The house was very clean (wife has high standards :) and comfortable. All you need in the way of parks, shops and restaurants is walking distance from the property, which was perfect because we had a no agenda weekend in mind. We just walked to meals whenever we wanted and lounged around the house. We enjoyed Caroline House so much, and will definitely plan to return, maybe with friends next time!

This is the place to stay if you are in Nashville. It is beautiful, clean and accessible to everything. The hosts were amazing people and thanks to Michaelā€™s suggestions we had the PERFECT night out! Desti stole our hearts ā¤ļø! Wonderful experience!

We unexpectedly found the Caroline House last minute before our trip to Nashville and we were nothing but delighted. Ashley and Michael considered every detail in their restoration of the Caroline House and it shows. We were beyond comfortable in the Old Coal Room Suite and had absolutely everything we needed. We enjoyed the privacy of the suite as well as the shared spaces like the patio. The neighborhood was very walkable which was very nice. We absolutely loved all of our experiences in the breakfast tour as well. They are really doing the breakfast part of bed and breakfasts right! I cannot say enough good things about our stay. This was absolutely the best choice for us. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Caroline House Nashville Historic Inn earlier this week while visiting family in Nashville, and we plan to return every time we're in Nashville. Its location is ideal; it's in a charming residential neighborhood very convenient to Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities, with the associated great restaurant and specialty shopping within walking distance. In fact, the location was convenient to everything in Nashville! The house itself is beautifully restored. It was comfortable, clean, soothing and home like. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us. There was champagne on arrival, snacks set out every evening, snacks and complimentary beverages available all day. In addition to the house itself, there was a charming covered porch we sat on every evening. Our room was perfectly comfortable and clean. I recommend this B&B highly, and far, far prefer it over the impersonal and cold reception found in standard hotels. Just book here; it's great!

My husband and I came to Nashville for the first time Sept 2022. We wanted something quiet and not a chain. We were very pleased with Caroline House!!! Michael and Ashley were very kind and well organized. The neighborhood was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast places that we got vouchers for were all within walking distance and really good. We didnā€™t rent a car, and just used Uber, but the house is located within walking distance of lots of shopping and dining! The house is beautiful and our room was just right! We highly recommend!! The only 2 criticisms we have are that the tub/shower is not easily navigated and we didnā€™t get to meet the dog!! But we couldnā€™t have been happier! If we come back to Nashville we would stay here again!!

What a beautiful home and experience! From the super comfy beds and sparkling clean spaces to the relaxing back porch, books, games and conversation with the owner Michael, we loved our stay. We desperately needed a getaway together and this gave us a quiet retreat in the hubbub of music city. We loved our casual morning walks to breakfast, and easy access to all of the music Nashville has to offer. If we ever find ourselves with the rare opportunity to get away again, we hope to find ourselves here!

Our family had a fantastic stay. The house is charming and comfortableā€”I particularly loved drinking my morning coffee on the front porchā€”and very well located near downtown. Michael and Ashley could not have been more welcoming and helpful in steering us to restaurants and places to hear music.

Michael was an excellent host, providing great insight into Nashville and its recent history. The room was spotless and comfortable. We loved the outdoor space options to sit and relax. The breakfast restaurant variety is a great idea as the local restaurants are exceptional.

Came to Nashville for my birthday weekend. Had booked with a hotel then plans changed. I found the Caroline house online and booked the large room for 4! So impressive. Great hospitality, cleanliness, location & overall so comfortable. Love this beautiful house. Thank you Ashley & Michael for making our stay so much more than we expected! Will definitely come back and stay again if weā€™re ever in your neck of the woods šŸ¤šŸ¤

Loved the place. Teresa was so awesome! She was responsive with all our questions and restaurant choices as well as what to do around the city. So much better than staying on Broadway. Breakfast choices were genius, never stayed a B&B that do a tour of local restaurants for breakfast. We will recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Nashville. Also, Desti the golden retriever was another great addition to visiting this place- put a smile on my wifeā€™s face which I will forever cherish.
