Absolutely rude bar staff. Hard to order from bar when people are sitting around the bar area blocking you and you continue to get overlooked. If you are paying with cash make sure you receive your change back. On multiple occasions they have tried to keep my change. Also, watch your credit card/take a pic of receipt that you sign. Some bartenders are shady here and will add on additional $$

Cool bar and good vibe however it all stopped when I reached the bar.. short heavier set curly haired blonde working Friday night 8/19 was extremely rude.. definitely ruined the vibe. She probably shouldn’t be a bartender maybe better fit for an office job….

Unique little Texas place! Nice drinks, huge variety of tap beverages, friendly staff. Probably gets pretty busy later on. Will definitely come back again.

We loved this place! So glad that we stopped in. The atmosphere is pleasant, the people were nice, the drinks were great and their food was delicious! I wish we had one closer to home because it would likely be our new hangout. If we ever find ourselves back out that way we will absolutely be stopping back by!

This place sucks. Costumer service sucks. Me and 3 of my friends went in and sat down and waited for 10 minutes for someone to take our orders. The two servers didn’t even acknowledge us. Unbelievable! We ended up going to fish and chips and their food was great. Drinks were great and cheap. Atmosphere was amazing! I totally recommend fish and chips for drinking and eating.

I stopped in for a burger and boy what a treat. I got the Wyatt Earp burger. The bacon marmalade was a perfect pairing with the bison burger. I had the truffle tater tots with it. The burger was juicy and the flavors just kept coming. The tots were perfectly crispy and soft on the inside. The best tasting tots I've had. I've been back multiple times since my first taste. Definitely a staple if you are by kemah boardwalk. Stopping in for a drink and having culinary excellence is a pleasant surprise. Their food has not left me wanting more yet. Always leave satiated and satisfied. The staff is awesome too.

Popped into skallywags for a bite and beer. It was yummy. The music was a good chill vibe. The Mac daddy bites and the fried chicken tacos were delicious

Went on a Saturday night.... It was hoping! DJ played a little bit of everything which was great. The food was actually above average for bar food. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

MAN HOLD UP! I Love this place! The people that work there are awesome! Love the drinks here and the vibe! I've been coming here for years upon years. I'm 41 years old and this place never gets old to me. A little spot full of life and everything you could think of nostalgically on the walls. This was my first time going there . The bar tender was very friendly . The place has a great selection of beers on tap and in cans and bottles . The food was so good . This is a fun bar/ restaurant to enjoy some music , watch a game or chill out . The place is really clean . I will be going back . I love the laid back atmosphere.

Excellent food and outstanding service! The dishes served here are overall relatively familiar to the average "Joe", but there's added touches and ingredients not so common to the traditional ways they're prepared, as well as the ingredients utilized.

Food was very good, ordered the pulled pork grilled mac and cheese with a half order of fries. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Stopped by for Taco Tuesday. The food is great! And you are not going to get a better price. The bartender worked the tables also which caused delays and having to get her attention on occasion. Otherwise, don't sleep on this gem.

Beer selection is awesome! The crispy chicken tacos were delicious. And it doesn't feel tourist centered like other spots.

The Mac Daddy’s are a MUST! Food is delicious and the selection of draft beer is incredible. I didn’t know what I wanted but the bartender gave me options for cocktail drinks and she absolutely made a delicious drink for me! We also tried the McNasty Nachos and they were so filling!

Taco Tuesday has amazing street style tacos. Good atmosphere and friendly people. Only downside is the loud music, but that is likely my preference.

My favorite place to grab a drink. I love the atmosphere and the music and the selection of beers is extensive and tasty. The deck is elevated and always has a nice breeze. You won't be disappointed ☺

First time visiting the wait staff was amazing. Ashley was on point with personality and fixing drinks 🍸 😂. My nephew Reg introduce us to person responsible for them good chicken wings. I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was off the chain. 💯💯💯💯💯

Great food. Drinks, a decent place to wet ones whistle. Food and drink prices were reasonable. Had the donkey tacos which is 3 soft tacos and the Buffalo chicken mac n cheese. Spicy great food.

Visited Skallywag's one afternoon while visiting the Strand area in Galveston Harbor. After drinking a cold Dos XX, I decided to try a half order of their Nacho's. The nachos were very good filled with pulled pork, Texas chili and the rest of the fixins and that half order was huge. Great spot for a cold drink and good food options. They do have outdoor seating to enjoy the weather.

Just when you thought the Boardwalk was the reason why you visit Kemah........ Honestly, you would never expect to find the type of food and how amazing it taste just looking at the outside of this place. In fact, the very first time I went was only because the other places we went to eat at were packed and we were really hungry. Fortunately for me, I was staying at the hotel on the Boardwalk and this place just happens to be right down the road. My first impression when we got in was that this was just a bar with people who were there to drink and have fun. The atmosphere was very lively and it was really a great place to kick back and have a few drinks. I asked for a menu, expecting to see your typical "bar" menu of a few different appetizers. However, I was truly impressed just looking at the menu and the atypical variety of food they had. Everything looked good (probably bc we were all really hungry) so we ordered just about one of everything on the menu! The staff was great and it was nice to have a drink while we waited for our food. If you take anything else away from this review, this is the most important (IMO). The food was absolutely incredible! Don't rob yourself of the chance to experience this for yourself. Don't be so quick to judge it, like I did, by thinking that it's just a bar and there is no way you can get the quality and variety of food from this place. Luckily for me, I only live about two hours from Kemah and it's well worth the trip out there just to eat and have a few drinks.

This was one of the first places someone took me when I moved to Texas and I still go back here. Laid back bar atmosphere with a great patio. The menu is not huge but they do everything right. They aren't "phoning in" bar food. It's legit. Everybody loves the truffle fries but I'm a tater tot guy so I go with those. Great bar and nice views.

Definitely a place to hangout with friends. The night scene looked like fun. The burger I tried was ok. I would go back with friends and play some of the games they had out.

First timer. I needed a quick mommy drink and this place was walking distance from my hotel room. The dj was on fire! Bartender was friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and need a couple adult beverages.

Everything I've had at this place is too good to be true, and the vibe/ atmosphere and tje employees are absolutely wonderful
