This is a place you definitely want to eat at when you're in the Subic area. We arrived for an early dinner and the queue to get tables was long! That's probably because this is a really popular place to eat here in Subic. We started off with the Corn Tortilla Soup. Served piping hot, this watery goodness was bursting with flavor despite the brothy feel. I expected something heavier - but whatever they used in that light broth really tickled my taste buds. I'd give this dish a 5-star rating on its own! T-bone steaks were cooked to (medium-rare) perfection. The cut of meat was perfect - had some fat, had some caritlage, and the meat was tender despite it's relatively thick cut. The herbed butter they served on the side was another thing of note. Spread it on with each bite of the steak and you won't even feel the urge to use gravy or any of their special sauces. The baby back ribs was a bit of a let down. The flavor was purely on the surface and the meat had not absorbed the flavours of the dry rub and the smoking process they used on it. Overall, this is a place I would definitely come back to next time I'm in the area. Now that I know what to order, I am confident that my next trip here will be a satisfying and memorable meal. Decided to go here instead of Meat plus since my co workers vouched for it. Its an awesome place!! First time and very impressed with the serving size. We went there on a weekday and its still packed! Good for big groups, but they charge an additional 10% if you want to set up a long table. I got the Tennesse Trio and the beef is the best! you get to choose two sides with any Combination order.

Fun friendly clean place, large portions, bit pricey! However, you wont find ribs and steaks like this, for miles around, as near as dam it, to a proper grill house, back on Britain. Souvenirs are avaiable, hats, shirts, mugs etc. I love the place. Salamat

Soooo good! It's my first time dining here and the food is so, so good! My quick favorite is the flamed grill porkchop and the joe mocha shake! The gravy is so flavorful and not your usual gravy. It had hints of beefy taste. It's not free but worth that Php 39. The shake is so good too. Bonus that the staffs are all nice. Polite and patient to us first-timers. This place is definitely worth a drive when you're in Subic. ♡

I've gone to this place a total of 2 times, once last year for late lunch, dinner this time for my fiancée's birthday. The service is fairly average for what it is. Quite the long waiting time for most things, but it might be due to the fact that the first time we went here, it was at the end of the lunch rush. We went a little bit later this year, and we had better service. But overall, there was a general improvement of service from last year. The steak was fantastic! They get it just right if you get it in medium-well. Not too raw, not too dry. Nice and juicy, but not too overcooked. The salmon was similarly terrific! It was way smaller last year, but we were given a bigger portion of salmon this year. The sides are a hit or miss. The Corn Tortilla Soup is delicious! Avoid the baked potato. It's literally just a normal baked potato with no butter or ANY kind of toppings. Other restaurants and steakhouses have way better baked potatoes that actually taste good and aren't this basic. Choose a better side instead. To summarize everything, definite improvements from last years experience to this year, in all aspects. From food to the service, it got so much better. For the price, it's a pretty darn good steak in the Philippines. Will come back if we're ever in Subic Bay again!

Portions are large, meat is tender and full of flavor. If I didn't know any better I thought I was back in America. This place will satisfy the most finicky without a doubt. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Food has always been great! My family loves to stay here, The staff are all super nice, friendly and attentive. I like that they are even exerting an effort to come by and check how the food is or if we need anything else.

I loved their humongous ribs. So tender and so flavorful. I also enjoyed the bubba burger. Wow. There were also tacos and quesadillas. The side dishes were not bad at all. It's also a plus that their personnel were very accommodating. The prices in the menu were strongly justified. Kudos! This must be the best steakhouse on my list.

I've been here more than a few times trying to find out what makes this place highly rated. I just don't know. As a Texas-styled smokehouse restaurant; their steaks, and smoked barbecued meats should be better than average. Sadly, no. I've had their ribeye steak, striploin, and filet mignon. I ordered medium rare each time; and got chewy, dry meats each time. The ribs were only better; just. The thick glaze on the ribs was the only thing that was giving the meat some flavor. Although the meat falls apart easily; I still found the ribs on the dry side. The Mexican dishes were slightly better. Skip their tacos, and their burritos; no flavor. Their carnitas were the same. However, the carnitas came with soft tortillas, guacamole, and salsa. Mix them all together inside a tortilla shell, and you get a tasty and flavorful taco. I did enjoy one dish they have; that I would gladly pay them a visit to savor again and again, the Tortilla soup. I was thinking of a lower rating for this restaurant; but their Tortilla soup was better than the ones I've had in Metro Manila, and thus a 3-star rating. This soup was so deeply flavorful; it never failed to make me happy to have ordered it again.

A must try place to dine when you're in Subic. I think they serve the best ribs in the area. Generous serving to satisfy your craving for yummy grilled ribs. Food is only cooked when ordered -waiting time is reasonable. Price is not too expensive-just right👍. The place is big. They have a large dine in and al-fresco areas.

My first time to eat here with boss and colleagues. Yung isang order, good for two or three na, ganun ka fully loaded ang meals. Pricey but worth it according to taste and servings. As seen on the pictures masasarap at unique ang servings, no wonder daming nagppunta dito. Good for family, friends or even a date. Pangyayamanin ang peg.

Their prime steak is the sure star of the menu. You get commensurate value of your money in every food they serve. However, be reminded of the service charge which is 10% of the total bill. 😅

Texas Joe's is a really good place if you want to get some quality steak. It takes a while to get your order, I think it's because it's all made to order. food is fresh out of the kitchen and the atmosphere takes you to a countryside diner. They also have outdoor dining and have a designated smoking area. Overall, it was a great place to eat with family since they have a wide variety of food available in their menu.

Their wild west theme spans across the building, ambiance, waiter's attire and food. First quick tip is to be there an hour before lunch or dinner time as parking easily gets full. Second tip is use Google maps to locate their back parking since the street in front is one way and you would need to drive around the whole block to reach the back. We ordered ultimate nachos, full slab baby back ribs, beef brisket platter and chicken nuggets. I would recommend beef brisket over the baby back ribs since the meat was so very tender plus only few restaurants in the metro offer beef brisket. The ribs was also very good and you get to mix and match three sauces original, carolina honey and habanero to your liking. This place is a must try if you are craving for American food.

The staff is amazing. Very accomodating. Great ambience. Feels like you're in a movie. The food was great. The ribs were so tender. Nice smoked flavor. The service water doesn't taste like a swimming pool. Clean and fragrant restrooms. Very sanitized dine in area. I didn't see any cockroaches. The prices are very reasonable. Great dining experience.

The Rib Sampler was really good! 👍🏼👍🏼 Food is sought after because they always have many customers. Staff were warm, courteous, attentive, and quick on their feet. Worth coming back to. Be ready though to have difficulty finding parking.

If you're hankering for steak, this is the place to go. You can choose the doneness and pick 2 side dishes to go with your steak. I had my steak medium rare, with coleslaw and potato salad that upped the flavors of the steak. My husband enjoyed a rib medium rib eye with corn bread and mashed potatoes on the side. He washed it down with not 1 but 2 glasses of red wine that he enjoyed at room temperature. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Celebrating Father's Day in advance, we decided to go to Subic Freeport for Duty Free shopping and some serious culinary adventure. Texas Joe's has been an established institution in Subic serving Ribs and Steaks for as long as I can remember and by far the most delicious ribs I'be tasted in the Philippines. Don't be scared by their prices as the food tastes excellent and portions are huge. For this trip we ordered the Full Rack Smoked Ribs, Beef Brisket and Onion Loaf. The meat comes with garlicky beans and 2 side dishes which you can choose from their menu. We ordered 2 Baked Potatoes and forgo eating rice. The beef brisket is melt in your mouth tasty while the ribs are fall off the bone tender. Of course no trip is complete to Texas Joe's without ordering their heavenly Onion Loaf which are actually onion rings battered lightly and deep fried to perfection. Don't forget to use their housemade Jalapeno Sauce which tastes way better than the bottled ones. Food are excellent and service is great. This is a must try place whenever you're at Subic Freeport. The downside is the place can be quiet jampacked during lunch and dinnertime so I suggest you arrive at 11 am for lunch and 5:30 pm for dinner. You can order ahead and chill while having a cocktail before meal

A must visit when you're at Subic. Good food, good staff, good price. Parking can be difficult. They do not have service charge which is a big plus for me.

We came in for a late lunch when the lunch crowd was already gone, so we were able to get seated immediately. Parking area in front was also spacious. Medium rare steak was very tender and flavorful. Loved everything we ordered. I especially loved their refillable coffee. (second cup was a bit bland though) Servers are attentive. Free wifi.

Food is a solid 10/10 for me. Budget would be around 500 per head. They have lunch meals that come with sides if you are on a budget. Service was great and the servers were responsive. Atmosphere was alright. Didn't really have any expectations coming into the place. The outside area seems great for dinner and drinks. Bathroom is well maintianed as well.

Nothing beats dining here. The price is justified by the quality of the food and the service. The location is great for walking as well, great view outside. The interior of the resto is spacious.

Their ribs are consistent on flavor and tenderness. They check on you if you're happy with your ribs. Their combos serving size is good for 2 people.

This is my second time coming back to the restaurant and both time I order the ribeye steak (very comparable to steak house chain restaurants in US). They cook it the way you order and it has plenty of flavor and you won’t need any other sauces to go with it. Every night this restaurant always stay relative busy. They accept credit card and you won’t disappoint with your steak order. This is the only restaurant in Subic Bay worth returning multiple visits.

Best to call them for reservations as the waiting queue could be long and they are not allowing pre-orders while waiting on the line, only upon sitting at the tables. Service is 4 stars only because maybe they’re short of people, thus waiting for order takers took time. Also no complimentaries (ex. Popcorn/peanuts or even service water— only probably by request!) while waiting. Brewed coffee has 1 free refill also which is nice 👍

It feeds those in need of ESSENTIAL goods(food), unlike others who refuse healthy minors and senior citizens because they don't understand the law. Texas Joe's is an essential place feeding those who are allowed for essential goods and services. Smart place, besides serving excellent food and service.

Loved it! We ordered a full slab baby back ribs and flame grilled chops. Loved it to the bones. Service is exceptional. You will be satisfied with their hospitality. Serving Time: Will take some time for your order to be served, as they will be cooking it first. A must try side dish is the baked beans. It's very good-one of their best sellers. The only baked beans I loved so far. Their green beans are crispy and very crunchy. It's not cheap eating here. One must have a good grasp of what he/she wants.

Very good food, especially the ribs. I also enjoyed the spicy chicken wings and the Texas Tea! North American menu. Prices are a bit high for the Philippines but you really get an American meal. I'll be back!

Ate there Friday night with my wife , we ordered Steak , Ribs and my wife ordered Salmon . Also ordered i think what the call a chicken crunchy salad , or words to that affect . The meat and fish was fine , but the lukewarm Chicken salad was not good , my wife had a little spoonful and then said thats not tasting good , by then i had ate maybe 3 or 4 mouthfuls before i stopped .Saturday i ate nothing but a bowl of rice and 3 coffees , woke up Sunday morning , with Salmonella , yes Salmonella . Have been sick every since . So my time there was not very enjoyable , i have spent a lot of time over this years in the Philipinnes as this is one time i wont forget .First and last time customers ...

I have eaten there before with no problems. Decided to take out a order on dec 5th 2020. Tried the baby back ribs half slab big mistake tasted like old dried meat not tender and no flavor . Also ordered brisket sandwich which I have eaten before and was good This time large pieces of grizzle made it hard to chew . I guess I will no longer be returning.
