It was good! They have really good salads, paninis, croissants and delicious pastries. The coffee is good and strong. The only poor side I observed this time is the people in counter, taking your order, both of them had certain attitude, although I noticed not with everyone, is like they're choosing from customer to customer with whom being nice and friendly and to whom not to. I guess this time I wasn't lucky enough. Nevertheless, and trying to ignore that, I had a smoked salmon salad that is very well served and very tasty. My husband had a prosciutto panini with a delicious basil tomato soup. I really like this place. It's a shame that the people in service is non consistent. The person serving our order to our table was fine and with good attitude/service though. I guess what their missing is the standardization of good service. Willing to take another risk on a future visit to see if they change that or I get lucky enough to get a normal good service.

Stopped in during a warm evening and picked up some Gelato, a cookie, and a cannoli. Service was fast and the food excellent.

We came here on a hunt for good tiramisu in Little Italy! Some of us ordered tiramisu, others ordered gelato and all of us ordered coffee. I ordered a caramel latte and it was honestly one of the best lattes Ive ever had! The tiramisu was a bit of a let down tbh, tiramisu is my favorite dessert and most of it was just cream without any lady fingers or cake, none of us really enjoyed it. The gelato and affogato were delicious though and the staff was very friendly!

Awesome place! Thank you for the experience. Big smiles the entire time and good quality products.Definitely hard to find places were it's not just about getting a cup of coffee. Engagement, eye contact and a lil conversation is way more valuable than getting a good cup of coffee.

This is my third stop on the San Diego Vegan tour. This is a cute place in Little Italy San Diego. I went with the mushroom and cheese panini with a dark chocolate Gelato. I'm loving Vegan food the more I eat it. They have several items that will make any Vegans happy. Non Vegans will also love this place too. I left with a happy tummy

I come here every time I visit San Diego! I get a cappuccino and a vegan focaccia. They are both incredibly delicious, as they have been over the years. The restaurant has updated their look and it's beautiful! The staff is always friendly and wonderful! I'll continue coming here as long as they are here

Quick gelato run after date night and I would say it's #4 on the "best gelato in San Diego" list. A really good variety of flavor options and actually quite some unique ones as well! Smooth and creamy gelato for sure. They have a Pappaleco special, but neither husband nor I were too big a fan. Bourbon Pecan was super good! The flavor really came through, good crunch of pecans, overall recommend if you like this combo. Hazelnut was surprisingly good! Considering I'm not too much of a hazelnut person, I actually picked this one!

My friend ordered a coffee and they opened up both containers of drip, and tried to pour the last cold dregs into a cup and hand it to him. We asked for a new brew. My drink was prepared perfectly, by a sweet lady working there, but I didn't like the taste of the espresso (very very dark.) The tables outside weren't clean. And in the bathroom, there are two mirrors, one is facing downwards towards the toilet, and it creeped me out. On the other mirror, there's a little blue light. What's that all about?

Very smooth espresso, doesn't upset the stomach. Unimpressive pastries -- once warmed up it's a pile of mushy supersweet stuff. Cool folks doing the service but go figure why when I order three items, one is brought to the table, one I must gobpick at the counter, and one they forget. Overall fine for a simple coffee, but there are better options for the rest.

I really didn’t know what to expect when I initially went here, but this was legit the best Affogato I’ve ever had. The pistachio gelato was outstanding, combined with that perfectly roasted Italian espresso, this is definitely something special. I’d definitely suggest you come check this spot out. You can choose what flavor of gelato to get with the espresso, but I highly recommend getting the pistachio

This place was such a vibe! The perfect pick for our quick breakfast before getting back out on the road. The staff were super friendly and it really has that neighborly community vibe. Our coffees and pastries were really delicious. The almond croissant was incredible, highly recommend! Tutti bene!

Love their Gelato and coffee. After a hearty lunch we walked around a few blocks from India st and ended up on this nice gelateria and coffee place. They have friendly staff and seating is plenty.

One of the best restaurants to go to in Little Italy. I have the best sandwiches soups and ice creams with different flavors and lots of variety. The coffee is on point and I'm not a coffee person. A surprise at every corner with love. Check out this little 💎

The best espresso that I've had in five years, neither bitter nor too acidic, made just right. Vanilla ice cream blew us away. Great atmosphere, quiet enough to have a conversation, yet lively and fun. The service was excellent. Plan to return.

The coffee is not that good 2/10 and also the sweetest is 5/10 the only good thing they have is the gelato.. also the workers are not nice and make a policy for everything from their mind. They refuse to change the cold coffee and they want to worm it not change it ( who worm a coffee with milk? ), which unacceptable for anyone. AND this is not the first time. At the end, the vanilla latte is the worst even if it is worm not hot.

Family needed a quick bite to eat. We found this place just by walking and saw a line formed to order food. This must be a good place to get a quick bite if people are willing to stand in line to order. If you enjoy salmon, try the salmon - croissant sandwich, truly the best. The ice cream was also great. The cafe latte was the best. We spent more time then expected because we kept going back to order other various items from their menu.

NOT COVID SAFE: staff wears masks but exposes their nose, the inside of shop is small & no guideline on the queue - you could be crammed waiting in line almost touching someone. Would be nice if they put a sign out the door to say max capacity inside is 2-3 customers at a time. Obviously, if you're buying gelato, you'll linger to look at the flavor before buying. Food wise: Coffee - decent while you're enjoying your breakfast. But for proper coffee, I'd probably walk to another coffee shop nearby Gelato - some flavors are excellent, some are a miss. Depends on their batch. Can never go wrong with Coffee or the Strawberry. With Covid, their pastries have gone downhill. I can def taste when something is a day or 2 old (it's that stale oxygen taste on the food). Will not be coming back here until safety protocols are in place and better enforced. PRO: Staff are super nice, they're mostly young college students. Really wish they follow CDC guidelines better.

We enjoyed the cannoli! The staff were pleasant and the store was clean. COVID19 social distancing was followed, and guests waited outside for their orders to be ready. A clean bathroom was available on the day we visited.

This cafe has a great energy to it! I visited the Little Italy location and cannot wait to visit the other three. I tried: Limone & Frutti di bosco Gelato The Vegano Panini & Apple Crumb They have four vegan gelato flavors and a ton of non vegan flavors too. The Limone and Frutti di bosco Gelato paired very well together. Limone was my favorite it had a great balance of tart and sweet flavors. I really loved the Vegano Panini. The bread had a perfect crunch to it. I thought the walnuts and balsamic rounded out the the flavors very well. I’m definitely adding this panini to my go-to eats. And finally the apple crumb. The crust was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely not a dish you’re going to want to share! 😋 For a small cafe they have a fairly large menu including a ton of vegan and non vegan menu items! I’m definitely going to another location to try the vegan pizza! 😍

Nice place to have breakfast - although a bit pricey. Had the big platter and it was good, as well as some of their pastries (biscottinis and cookies) that were very good as well.

This was the best cappuccino I have ever had. I was visiting from out of town, staying in little Italy and saw this shop around the corner. I’ve been here two days in a row now. The Nutella muffin and croissant sandwiches are the best things ever. This place is a little slice of heaven.

Came after a pizza dinner at Isola for the made-on-site gelato... our dinner & desserts reminded us of our last trip to Italy 🥰 They don't allow tastings (assuming due to covid) 😕 Got the grande size (3 scoops) to share with my spouse: 1. Toffee Toffee 2. Pistachio 3. the espresso-flavored one in a seperate cup since my spouse hates coffee (I love coffee ice creams but wowzers this one was unexpectedly soo strong! Literally like espresso shots in a cup lol) Toffee Toffee was our favorite ❤ Google is showing dine-in as not avail but they have a couple tables avail inside & lots more tables outside to sit & eat your desserts/food...
